Music to power point

How do you insert music from the ipod (since it is protected)to a power point presentation? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you don't have the track in iTunes or elsewhere on your computer then you would have to retrieve what you wanted to use from the iPod and copy it back to your hard drive.
There is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
There are also a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

  • Power point doc with music

    Hallo,
I am working on a MAC AIR OS X 10.10.1. Received a power point document and cannot hear the music recorded. Clicking on the Item it says that I ought to use a code as the Dokument is locker under DRM rights (?). My partner tells me there is no code .
How can I open the document?
    Best regards

Did you make sure the songs were in MP3 format?

When I open Power Point files in Keynote the music does not play. How can I rectify this?

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Audio from Power Point show doesn't play

I am having a problem with Power Point shows that people send to me via e-mail. The video works fine, but the audio doesn't play. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

    Hello Andaleeb,
thank you for getting back to me.
The slide show works fine, including sound, from within Organizer. It
also works fine when I export it as a video. Just PDF isn't working.
In the meantime, from various contributions in the forum, I gather that,
unfortunately, the Organizer (just like Lightroom) simply does not
support adding music to PDF slide shows. Apparently, there is a way to
do that using Acrobat Pro (only costs 640 Euros).
You may consider my question answered.
    Regards,
    Thomas

  • Now I have to covert my i tunes to MP-3  formate to insert them into a power point presentation These songs are in my i tunes library on my computer I know how stupid it sounds how to I get them into a file on my computer seperate from my i tunes library

S LIKE i BOUGHT SONGS NOW THERE IN THIS I TUNES LIBRARY THING NOW HOW TO GET THEM INTO A FILE SEPERATE IN MY DOCUMENTS ITS LIKE HOW DO i BREAK INTO THE I TUNES STORE ON MY COMPUTER AND GET THE MUSIC i BOUGHT AND PUT IT INTO MY COMPUTER FILE DOCUMENTS SO i CAN PUT IT INTO POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS AND IN A FORMATE COMPATABLE WITH WINDOWS POWER POINT.  I DID IT ONCE SEEMS LIKE I FORGOT THE RECIPE I DID IT WHEN MY KEY BOARD WAS DOWN JUST WITH THE MOUSE I MAILED IN MY LAP TOP GOT THE MUSIC OFF INTO A M-P3 PLAYER GOT IT BACK GOT THE I TUNES CARD DOWNLOADED SONGS NOW THERE TRAPED IN MY I TUNES LIBRARY LOL !!! ???

One way friends of mine have done it....use iTunes to burn a music CD with the songs (presuming it can still do that, haven't tried it in a while)
THen close iTunes and open windows media player. Use that to convet the CD file to MP3 (media player's default is to pull things in as wma, so you may need to change the preferences to mp3, or i'm pretty sure wma's work in power points)
Once media player converts the format you can insert it into your powerpoint.

  • Keynote to Power point question

Hi all, I just made a keynote presentation of a ipod ad with music(one song) for a school project. I went to file and export so I could save it as a power point file so the teacher could play it for the class on his PC and then through a projector. I just tested it on my dad's PC and the presentation is OK but there is no MUSIC, how do I fix this problem. I need it for tomorrow Morn!!
    Thank you in advance
    Jess
Oh I also tryed exporting to a QT file and no music either?
and yes in the inspector the music is there on both thnx

Keynote's exporting is pretty screwed up at the moment, unfortunately, with respect to audio. Try checking the original audio file to see if it's an MP3.
The safest way to ensure the presentation works across platforms would be to use a QuickTime file. As you found, audio export causes problems. There are some workarounds discussed in this forum that should help. In your case, you should be able to export the presentation without audio, then add the audio file separately, using QuickTime Pro or iMovie.

  • Is there a way to replace a Power Point slide in Captivate and keep the CC notes?

    Hello,
I have a lot of Power Point slides in my Captivate project. The Power Point presentation is on a Share Point, so it is impractical to "link" the Captivate project with the Power Point presentation.  Now and then we need to make changes to the Power Point slides and then replace the old slide in Captivate with the new slide.  We have a lot of CC notes and TTS attached to each slide, so I lose all of that when I replace the slide.  Is there a way to keep the synchronized CC and TTS notes in place, and just replace the acutal slide?
    Thank you!
    Ryan

    1 - simplest way:
drag the sound file on to the audio well in the Inspector > document > document tab
music can only start on the first slide and will play untill the music ends, you can only have one music file in the presentation
    2 - more control
drag the sound file on to any slide, add the  images on to the same slide and use Builds to reveal each image in turn

  • Edited track transfered to Power Point

iTunes 06 Using get info and options I have redefined the start and stop time for a music track. I need to transfer that defined portion of the music to a slide in Power Point but so far I always get the entire track.
Appreciate assistance as I need this for an upcoming presentation

Welcome to Apple's user-to-user discussion forums.
If you burn the track to and audio cd you will get a new track based on the custom timings. Another option, provided your original file is in wav, aiff, or mp3 format, is to edit it in Audacity. Powerpoint does not use iTunes to play music so it does not see the custom timings set up in iTunes.

  • Converting mpeg-4 files to format that can be utilized by Power Point 2003

I have created my first Power Point 2003 Presentation, and am trying to add uninterruped music, a post copyright version of George Solti's Beethoven's 5th. When I imported the tracks from the CD, they are MPEG-4. Power Point 2003 can't read the file when I try to open it under "Movie and Sound>". I returned to iTunes and tried converting it to an AAC file, but the software doesn't recognize that file either. What file extension is recognized by Power Point 2003 and does iTunes have a conversion tool?

In summary, use either WAV, AIFF, or MP3 format when you import from the CD.

  • IPod & Power Point

Would like to access the music examples on my new 60 GB iPod for my class lectures by inserting sound file links from my Power Point presentations. Is this possible?
I know it can be done by linking to music files in iTunes, however this not available in all the rooms I need teach.
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Technically you would need to have Powerpoint save the prentation in MP3 format with the specifics and sizes needed to play it on the device.
Unless someone has developed such a transition process that plays and changes the slides as you need, I don't think so.
The only way you could get around it would be to use some screeen capturing program, have it do what it needs, you switch the slides as you need and then try taking that files and moving it to the ipod. That's the only way I could think of...

  • Can I display a Power Point presentation in full screen on an HP Pavilion g

I have a working Power Point presentation with an imbedded video, whic means I can not use Power Point "Show". Can I display a Power Point presentation in full screen on an HP Pavilion g? If so, how do I do it?

    Hi,
    On any machine, please try:
Click the "Options" tab on the PowerPoint toolbar,
then select "Play Full Screen" from the "Movie Options" group.
The "Options" tab is located directly underneath the "Movie Tools" button.

  • New to apple and wondering if using keynote is easier than power point.

    Hello all,
I have only been using os x for about 6 months, and I was wondering if using keynote is easier than power point? I am in school so I need to know if keynote will save in ppt format. The school that I go to only uses MS office 97 to 2004 format for all docs and power points. Is using keynote that much different?

i find keynote MUCH easier in almost all areas. it did take me a little learning in the beginning. the main thing to know is that apple uses a floating pallet call "inspector" to control just about all the details of the presentation. they also have a "formatting bar" which is conceptually similar to the formatting bars microsoft uses in the previous versions of office (font size, etc...).
the basic entry for slides is the same, where one just types into the fields on the slides. what i find much better is the control i have in the "inspector" to fine tune anything. i've gotten completely dependent on keynotes "staging" which is how one makes the slides animate. if i have a series of bullets and a diagram, i use the staging to get the diagram to be revealed in stages and to get the bullets appear one at a time in sync with the diagram i'm explaining. nothing is more boring for an audience to have someone just stand up, thru up a slide with 100 words and read the text bullets.
i find keynote to be much easier to develop diagrams or to copy and paste in a PDF picture. then add the staging effects i need to develop the story to explain the diagram or picture. it does take a little learning how to do it the first couple times. but the interface is consistent and it's not hard to learn it.
the only aspect i find a little easier in powerpoint is the indenting style, which is controlled in one of the editing buttons in office 11 and before. keynote controls the indenting from the "inspector" instead of having a little button in the formatting bar. but in every other way, i find keynote to be MUCH easier to use. and it has other features that powerpoint doesn't have. plus iwork is very inexpensive compared to microsoft office. finally, if you are near an apple store, they have free seminars on iWork fairly often. the 1st time i used keynote, i went to the apple store workshop and got a few answers. just see how easy it is to get person to person help for microsoft office...
the only other game in town are the various releases of the open source programs, "open office" and "neo office". they are free, also read and write ppt files, but are a little harder to use than keynote and don't have as many features.
    anyway, that's my experience.
    good luck!
