Like the title. Is there any way to transfer music back to PC? I mean those mp3 player uses the same HDD as laptop right?
I've experienced data losses and all my music on th pc are gone.

You won't be able to transfer licensed WMA tracks, or the locked content that comes with the player.

I have a ton of appointments on my Ipod Touch calendar. I decided to sync them with a brand new empty Google calendar. I followed these steps I found on the web to add the Google calendar to the Ipod Touch:
Open the Settings application on your device's home screen.
Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select Add Account...
Select Other.
Select Add CalDAV Account.
Enter your account information:
In the Server field, enter [ google.com ]
In the Username field, enter your full Google Account or Google Apps email address.
In the Password field, enter your Google Account or Google Apps password.
In the Description field, enter the name you'd like to appear on the account.
Select Next at the top of your screen.
After you've completed setup, open the Calendar app on your device and syncing will automatically begin.
Now since that was done, new entries I add in Google Calendar show up on the Ipod Touch, but not the other way around. Is there a setting option I missed? I need to pre-populate Google from the Ipod first I asume.Thanks.

Unfortunately, the only solutions available require Outlook in order to work... The best, and the one I've decided on using, is SyncMyCal.com. There is a free version available that requires you to sync manually, but once you sync events into Outlook, you can sync them to your iPod touch.
With the 1.1.2 update for the iPod touch, which enables you to directly add events on it... you can set SyncMyCal to also publish events back to your Google Calendar.
I really wish this functionality was built in directly.
iTunes already supports syncing with Yahoo! Address Book... Considering how close Apple has been with Google as of late, it's hard to believe some sort of syncing plugin for gApps hasn't been introduced yet.

If you're trying to sync an iCloud calendar, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar on your iPhone and make sure you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default.

I am a cityville game player on facebook and for some reason today I am unable to send out blasted on the game when if fact this was never a problem. Finally I went to internet explorer and the same problem happen, but internet explorer let me know that the content was blocked. All I had to do was unblock it and that was easy and know I can blast out. However trying to remove the block from fire fox is a issue. Crazy I know, but what is the best way to PREVENT a report portlet from running ?

I know this sounds a very weird question.
On a page I have a html form (that I use as search criteria for my report) as well as an actual report published as a portlet.
On certain situations, such as when going to the page initially, I require that the report not be executed due to bind variables passed by the form not being initialised.
I know I can set default values for parameters, and use decode statements in my query etc etc, but this means the report is still actually run, but no rows are returned!
I dont want the report to even run!
Is there a faster way of stopping a report from executing.

I have about 50GB of photos on my old MBP iphoto library.
To be able to merge your libraries, your Aperture version and iPhoto version must match. For basic reading see: Aperture 3.3: Using a unified photo library with iPhoto and Aperture

Assuming you are running the latest Aperture and iPhoto versions:
Before merging libraries ensure that your iPhoto Library has no issues. While still on your old mac run the "library first aid tools" on your iPhoto Library. Hold down the key combination ⌥⌘ and double click your iPhoto Library, then select "Repair database".
Make sure you have a backup of your current Aperture Library and iPhoto library.
Do both macs have a FireWire port? Then you could connect your macs in Target Disk Mode:

This way your new mac could see your old mac as an external disk and you could copy directly between the macs.
Otherwise copy your iPhoto library by drag-and-drop to an external disk (on your old mac) and connect that disk to your new mac. Check, if the external drive is formatted for mac (MacOS X Extended (Journaled)). Otherwise reformat it, before you copy the iPhoto library to that drive.
When your iPhoto Library has been moved to your new Mac launch Aperture and use the command "File > Import > Library" from the main menu bar. If there are duplicates in the Aperture library (if you imported earlier from iPhoto) you may be prompted if you want to "Add" or "Merge". If you have lots of duplicates, pick "Merge", otherwise "Add".

Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder on your PC to /Music/ on your Mac.
Then delete what you don't want.
You will need to authorize yrou computer for the iTunes account yoru mother has.
You should create & use your own iTunes account for any more purchases.
You don't need to export anything and definitely don't need to (and shouldn't) convert anything.

Tablet & mobile can see desktop tabs but not in the other way

I have an android tablet, an android phone, a laptop, and a desktop at work. All with synced firefox.
I use aurora on laptop and desktop, and beta on both android.
On the desktop, i can only see tabs from the laptop, and on the laptop, only one from desktop.
And on both android, i can see tabs from both laptop and desktop.
In all cases, i can't see tabs from the both android.
Sync is ok because i can see desktop ones on the android but it's not as useful as it could be if i can't have all tabs on every firefox, i cannot read on my tablet or my desktop tabs previously opened on the phone. I can see them in the history, though.
Any hint about this?

Did you check the sync setting to see if the tabs are synced?

What's the best way to move around in a document?

Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but what's the best way to move around in a zoomed in document?
The only method I've found so far is to drag with two fingers, which keeps resizing the document as it moves around.
No Hand Tool? No way to zoom to 100%? No way to Fill the Screen with the document?

Panning is being done with two fingers, i.e. you set two fingers down on the screen and then move them in the same direction.
You can also zoom out by moving the fingers in the opposite direction as when you zoomed in.

What is the best way of reading a browser cookie and writing to sessionbean

Hi,
So far I have happily written a cookie in the visting browser and happily can display with a browser using a servlet println etc
But what is the best way to take that value and put it into say getSessionBean1().setCookieValue("Cookievalue");
I was thinking on the lines of calling a forward from the servlet "nexpage?cookievalue=stringetc".... or is there some nicer way?

What's the best way to back up photos from iPhoto?

My AirBook is nearly full... of mostly photos, so I need to back them up -- but what's the best way? I have a 2TB external drive, but I'd like to keep my photos in the same format as they appear on iPhoto (that is, in folders, with event names, date created, etc.). The first time I attempted to export my photos (about 10,000) they all came in with ONLY numeric file names. UGH, that will make it impossible to find anything. ANY POINTERS, TIPS, OR BEST PRACTICES?

Why don't you simply make a duplicate of your iPhoto Library? Select the library file. CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Duplicate from the context menu. Copy them to separate disk drives, then delete both from your startup drive.

I know I should be consistent and use www or not on every link but none of the articles tell me whether I should use http:// or not when linking.
So for example, should I use...........

Most hosts will automatically create a CNAME record for both 'www.example.tld' and 'example.tld' when the hosting account is created, but not all do. I've read some of the post here that I thought might help but they refer to titles (Music) and triangles in the "Devices" window which are nowhere to be seen when I open the "Devices" window.
I have iTunes 11.0.3 and Mac OS 10.6.8. Does this make a difference?

I should mention that, for the first problem, I do make sure that my new tracks are stored in the folder where I told iTunes that my music is in. Also, when I say the cataloging of my library stops short of cataloging all my songs, I have tried leaving the computer unattended for days (my computer's sleep mode is disabled). It always stops before cataloging all of my music regardless of whether I am doing something else while iTunes is cataloging, or if I just let iTunes be the only program that's open during the cataloging process.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
