    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First, when you are going to turn off or restart your Mac, you will see a box called "Reopen windows when logging back in" in the shutdown or restart window. Untick this box and see if the App Store opens automatically in the next startup.
If it starts, open System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Items, and see if the App Store shows up. If so, remove it from this list

  • The mini store is simply to much

Hi I really like the iTunes music store , but you seem to have forgotten that iTunes is a music player first and second a Shop. This mini shop is simply to much. The links beside each music to the store, the mini store and the music store link - Why do we need three links in front of our face constantly to the music store ???? This is simply to much, normally I've deactivated the link beside each track, because i don't really need to buy it when I allready have it, I am not going to buy the same piece of music twice just because it exist on the music store. The mini store is totally to much. Normally I've keept the itunes music store icon so that i occasianlly could take a look at the new music. Now I have to remove this Icon to the music store in order to get rid of the mini store. So now I will never visit the music store, because you forced me to remove ever link to it, in order to get rid of this mini store.
First time i opened the new version of iTunes i feelt that you only wanted me to buy, buy and buy music all the time, we'll its really simple if iTunes is nothing more than a shop which tryes to force me buy stuff all the time by displaying music all the time, then iTunes has developed to the state where it is no more than an advanced Banner - which means that i will soon find another music player, beause all this sales thing has gone to your head.
What you should do is: By default the mini store should be deactivated, and people should be able to activate it if they want it. Personally I think that the mini shop should totally vanish as it makes the music PLAYER loose its simplicity, but if you want it in you program it's your choice.

    sdad:
You have expressed so eloquently my reaction when I opened up the latest version of iTunes. I don't want to buy music, I want to play music.
I spent several minutes trying to get rid of the eyesore. In your post you saidNow I have to remove this Icon to the music store in order to get rid of the mini store. Can you remove it? How? I would like to, if I can.
In other Forums there were topics on the new version of iTunes messing up Disk Utility. Some posters were vowing to go back to the previous version, which seemed like a pretty good idea to me. I downloaded it and it is on my desktop ready to be installed.
I don't know of any real enhancements to iTunes, but this blatant crass commercialism is definitely not an improvement.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to spout off.
    Good luck.

  • How can I transfer the music on my iPad mini to an empty music library on my new macbook?

I have recently purchase a new Mac Book with retina display.
I have tried without success to transfer the music from my iPad mini to the empty iTunes library on the Mac Book.
Each attempt warns me that my iPad music library will be replaced by the Mac Book library.
As this is an empty location surely all that will happen is that my iPad library will also become empty following the sync?

This is an excellent user tip that instructs you on what you need to do. For the music that was purchased from iTunes, you will be able to use the Transfer Purchases feature.

Any music that was imported from CD and then synced to the iPad will require a their party app in order to transfer the music. Something like this.

  • How do I transfer my music from my mac mini running mountain lion to iPad 2. I have ICloud running, why are they not automatically pushed to the ipad2? Do I need to use ITunes? If so, how do I do it without deleting everything on the IPad2?

I have a new MacMini onto which I have installed music files. I want to transfer them to my IPad2 . I have ICloud working properly, or so I thought, so why are these files not appearing on my Ipad2? Do I need to use ITunes? If so, how do I sync without erasing what is already on the IPad? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the procedure for syncing music to the iPad.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
iCloud does not transfer the music on the Mac to the iPad unless you download it again on the iPad. iTunes Match may be what you are thinking of and you have to subscribe to that feature for a fee.
You have to sync the music that is already in your iTunes library to the iPad using iTunes. You can turn on Automatic Downloads on both devices for music and when you download music on one device it will download to the other device.
I get the feeling that you have never synced the iPad with iTunes before but you already have content on the iOad and are getting a message that the iPad will be erased if you sync with iTunes. If that is true, you need to transfer all iPad content into iTunes before you sync. This will help you with that.

How do I get music from my ipad mini running iOS 7.0.4 to icloud

iTunes Match service doesn't move your audio files. It allows you to download to your other devices.

  • How do I keep the music from my old 1st gen mini and put it on my new ipod touch without loosing it. the computer I used to load the mini was stolen quite some time ago????

How do I keep my music from my old 1st gen ipod mini when the computer that I originally loaded it with was stolen more than 5 years ago and transfer all the music onto my new ipod touch? My fear has always been that plugging my mini into another computer and attempting to download more music onto it or take what's on there off will end up erasing all of it because of file sharing regs. I would really prefer not to have to repurchase several hundred dollars of music as many of the original cd's that I used to download have been either lost or damaged over the years. Is there anything I can do????

  • Why do I not see my music on my ipad mini even when I download from the cloud.

I bought a new Ipad Mini and when I download music or videos from the cloud they do not appear on my ipad. In Itunes on my computer I can see them when I open my Ipad.

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
PSE8 has recognized and converted one of my two catalogs, but I can't find the other one at all. How can I get it from PSE6, converted to PSE8?
See the first section of this tech note, "Convert your catalogs":
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/515/cpsid_51536.html
You can also use Windows Explorer to search your entire hard drive for all PSE 6 catalogs (named catalog.psedb); be sure to configure Windows Explorer to view hidden files:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_View_hidden_files
    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
I would however like to transfer the slide shows which work fine in the converted PSE8 catalog in my old computer. Some of the files are pdf which I assume I could transfer by simply dragging and dropping. Is there a proper way to transfer just the slide show projects from PSE8 on my old computer to PSE8 on my new computer?
The only way to transfer slide-show projects is to transfer the entire catalog file -- you can't move or transfer individual projects.  You can move the individual PDF or move files that the projects created, but of course you can't edit those later.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
If your sister doesn't know the password for her old ID, and if her old ID is an earlier version of her current ID, she needs to temporarily recreate the old ID so you can delete if from your phone using her current password.  To do this, have her go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with her current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to her old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to her old email address.  You can now use the password for her current ID to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for her old account ID.  After you do this, Next, have your sister recreate her current ID again by going back to https://appleid.apple.com and changing her primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.
Then your can save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to the camera roll on your device, then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted.  You will be prompted to either keep or delete the iCloud data from your device.  If the data is already in another account you can choose Delete.  If you need to migrate it to another account, choose Keep, then choose Merge when signing into the new account.

  • HT4527 I just had to clear the hard drive on my computer - now I want to transfer all the music and pictures from my ipad back onto my computer.  'Sync' doesn't do it.  What do I do?

I had toclear the hard drive of my computer and reinstall Windows 7.  Now I want to transfer all the music and photos from my iPad back onto my computer.  I authorized the computer (it is the ONLY computer authorized on this account - and this is the ONLY account on this iPad).  ITunes then downloaded my purchases...or at least it tried - out of the hundreds of tracks I have purchased, it managed one album that I bought over a year ago and NOTHING else.  So I tried to Sync - since on older versions of iTunes (that were SO MUCH MORE user friendly) that would do the job -transferring things that were only on the iPad onto the computer and vice versa.  It doesn't do that anymore.  So I went from my iPad's summary to the Music tab - the box for Music was not checked but when I checked it said the only thing it could do was erase EVERYTHING from my iPad and replace it with what was on my computer (that ONE album).  What is going on?
Why hasn't iTunes downloaded my other purchases since I authorized the computer? (there are over 3,000 tracks...not 18)
How can I download my iPad to my computer?

-Me again - it also won't upload the few new pictures I have on the computer onto the iPad without deleting all the photos that are already there....

  • Does the mini displayport able to transfer audio and video to an external monitor (example: a tv) using a 2011 13" MacBook Pro with an hdmi cable?

I was wondering this, because I want to hook up my 2011 MacBook Pro to a external monitor (TV) using an hdmi cable.  This would be heplful before I buy a mini displayport to hdmi adapter, and then maybe find out that the mini displayport might not transfer audio, only video.

Yes, min Displayport supports audio and video for the 2011 MBP 13" via HDMI.
