Music\video playlist - Screensaver issues

Before the last apple tv 2 update, I used to be able to have a music/video playlist play for a party and have the screensaver display pictures while playing music, then when a video would play the screensaver would automatically switch off and play the video.
After the update the music video will not overide the screensaver. The sound will play for the video but it will be stuck on the screensaver and not break out of it until I hit the menu button on the remote. Any ideas?

Can anyone verify this with the latest apple tv 2 update that came out?

I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

How can I create a Music Video playlist (for Universal Dock)?

Ok, I created a smart playlist of all my Music Videos but this is a music playlist.
I want a *Music Video* playlist so that all my music videos will play one after the other without user interaction (when playing in the Universal Dock with it's useless remote control).
Is this even possible?

I have downloaded a couple of music videos not from itunes and have tried to inport them into the music video playlist but they go into the movies playlist,I have tried to change the ext. from mp4 to m4v file still works but stays in movies playlist, anybody able to do this?

Select the video and open the Get Info window (right click -> Get info or File -> Get info). Select the "Options" tab. Use the drop down "Media Kind" selection to change it from movie to music video.

Need help syncing a music video playlist to my iPad.

I am having trouble syncing a music video playlist from iTunes onto my iPad2. This playlist works fine on my iPod touch (3rd gen) but on the iPad it shows up as an audio playlist only with the videos going to the video icon; they all work but a playlist can't be made from this location. I have made sure that all the video files are saved as "music video" and not "movie", I'm not sure what else to try, any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Of them, I recommend BUZZ Player HD by BUGUN Software the most - it's a decent all-rounder, albeit there certainly are better players (for example, It's Playing, AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, GoodPlayer etc. - too bad none of these supports playlists) with more efficient video decoders for some formats.

Adding music video to the music video playlist

This is driving me nuts.I have music video that I can't get into the playlist (music video)I tried adding but it just goes to the recent added playlist .I can drag and drop it into the movie library, but I want them in the music video playlist.

Issue with nano and music video playlist

Hello, I have two ipods, a video and a nano. I have a playlist for music videos for the video ipod. To keep them separate I checked "manually manage musc" and checked "sync music" and "selected playlist. I've checked all the playlist, except music video. Under my music, not all the songs in my library show up unless I don't have "manually manage music" checked. What should I do to have certain playlists show up and have all my songs in my library show up? Thanks in advance.

Also, the music videos show up on my summary. How do I get those off as well?

All my video's are still in the library and when I tried to create a new library they wont drag over.

tried that mate and nothing happens, it stays empty.
When I actually go into get info with the selected videos, the drop down menu where it says music video, movie etc. is shaded and cant be altered. Dont know what to do here as when you purchased a video it would go straight into that playlist.

Duplicate music videos playlist when viewing in shared

I have two Mac computers. I am trying to sync the two music libraries so they are same.
I open the iTunes application on each machine and it shows the other library in 'shared'.
In the playlists of the shared machine I see two called 'Music Videos'. When I go to the prime machine there is only one playlist called 'Music Videos'.
I see two 'Music Videos' on each machine under shared but there is only one on each of the original machines.
Where is the other playlist coming from when I view in shared connection?

After unchecking "Sync Music" and resyncing the device there are still some music and videos left over. If I click "Music" on the left under iPhone I have 41 items remaining, half videos half music.
I sync only certain playlist so all the music / Music videos I want will fit, was trying to remove it all and start fresh, but that is not working either.
On the phone when you click "playlist" there is the option for "Purchased" and it contains the 41 items, I deleted the playlist but the songs and music remain and don't see a way to delete items from phone directly.
Ideas?

Music Video and song Issue

Hey I was wondering If there is an Option That I am missing or a bug but for my iPhone i have one playlist that has some songs and music videos combined in it. On my iPhone when i click on songs all of the music videos and songs come up but when play a music video i don't get the video and i just get the Sound. but in the video section i just get the Music Videos. is there a way to get rid of the music videos in the songs section.

You would need to remove the music videos from the playlist in itunes and re-sync the iphone.
If that does not help, there is a checkbox, called include music videos, on the music tab in itunes, when the iphone is connected, that you can uncheck.

Different Music Videos Playlist Between iPhone and iPod

Ok i have this problem since i have my iphone and no one answer me, maybe there's no answer so i ask again.
I have a more than 500 music videos in my library, i don't have a problem when i sync my ipod because i have an 80GB for all these videos, the problem comes when i want sync my iphone i have to check and uncheck the videos i don't want sync with my iphone because of course i don't have space in the iphone, so anyone knows if have any option for make 2 different musicvideo playlist and sync one with the iphoe and the other with the ipod.

I have been having this exact same problem. It went away for a month or two after upgrading my iTunes to the latest version, but reared its head again last week. I've tried all of the solutions listed on the support article listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3044 The only thing that seems to work for me is when I disable the "live updating" tab. What a pain.

I purchased these music videos from i-tunes, in the past I just had to go into "Music" on the I-pad and select "music videos" then the one I wanted to play and it would just start playing with video. I don't see any "VIDEO" app. These music videos was downloaded from i-tunes and shold play through the i-pad music app. Any further suggestion?

2.2 Music Video Playlist problem-no audio (every other MusicVideo)

I updated to 2.2 over the weekend so that I could have MusicVideo Playlists (plus all the other enhancements). BUT, the audio on the musicvideos only plays on EVERY OTHER musicvideo. Each one works individually. The playlist works properly on the iMac that syncs to the AppleTV, but the audio only plays on every other one.
I've tried mucking with the Audio settings (the auto-level check item), but to no avail. If I start on the first one, only items 1, 3, 5, .... have audio (video is fine). If I start on item 2, then the even numbered videos have audio.....
Any idea what's going on here? Suggestions?

just my 2 cents...but i have about 550+ and I havent seen (heard) a problem w/ any of them yet. Encoded almost all of them with either iSquint or VisualHub on the mp4 setting...with or without h.264

Update 12.1.1.4 erased all my files (music, videos, playlists, everything). How do I revert to earlier version to get that back?

I opened iTunes tonight to import a CD and it asked me to update. Sure, fine, go ahead. Computer restarts after update and EVERYTHING is gone. I had 20+ videos, over 3k songs, all sorted into playlists, podcasts... it's all gone. How do I get that back? Can I uninstall the update and go back to the earlier version of iTunes? And when I plug in my iPad to sync, will it wipe everything off of there, as well??? I'm a fitness instructor, I have over a year's worth of playlists and routines that are now gone.

You're welcome . Note, though, that iTunes doesn't really keep "backup files" - it does replicate the library database (iTunes Library.itl) during the installation of an update if (and only if) that update makes a change to the database structure. The most recent of these was the transition from iTunes 11.4 to iTunes 12.0. On the basis that:
Computers tend to fail at the least convenient moment
Hard drives fail. Always. You just don't know when its going to happen
There is no process that can be 100% guaranteed not to mess with your data
creating and maintaining a backup of your iTunes library is just about essential. See tt2's notes on Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy for details of a suitable method. If you make frequent additions or changes to your library you should refresh the backup every couple of days - at a minimum I'd suggest once a week - and always make sure that the backup is up to date before installing a new version of iTunes. I actually use two backup strategies - one that runs automatically at 3am every Sunday morning, plus as-needed updates to a second external drive that I use to refresh two other systems that I run iTunes on.
