Unable to preview music videos using Windows Vista. Get sound, but no video. Pleas help.

I have a similar problem: I cannot download any movie previews. I get the souondtrack but only a blank green screen. Help!

Preview Screen goes blank

Hi, I was editing a movie and when the preview screen went blank. I could only see the outline of a box rotated in X axis. I can't do anything. I go back to see if i did something wrong and its the same. I restarted and shut down the computer but nothing happened. I checked other projects i made previously and they where okay. Does anyone know what happened.

You have enabled wireframe previews or it's an OpenGL problem. Check your comp settings and timeline buttons or simply trash the prefs to revert everything to defaults.

Video Preview Screen Is Black But Still hear the sound

I was having problems viewing previews for movies and videos. Itunes support kept having me re-install just Quicktime but it never solved the problemn so I started digging around the prefernces for Quicktime. Here's what I did:
1. Open Quicktime, click on edit and pick Quicktime preferences.
2. Choose the advanced mode and click on all the Direct X options.
3. Hit apply.
4. Close Quicktime and open your itunes.
This should fix it. Hope this helps anyone else who has this problem.

ITunes store music video preview problem?

How do you get itunes to fully buffer music video previews from the store before playing them? They are very choppy and video is out of sync with the music even with a DSL connection.
In the past you could set a preference to do this.

iTunes 9.2 (61) and I'm getting a failure rate of 100%!
Strictly audio, and I also find it annoying that the pop-up appears at the bottom of my iTunes window off-center nearer the right side. When the video finishes buffering +(3 Mbit connection, too)+, the pop-up window moves to the center.
Pressing stop/closing the window, before it begins playing can wreak havoc. Sometimes the "stop" dialog will keep popping up after I press stop, or the pop-up window will move to a different position, or it's white background will render outside of the window, or I'll get multiple segmented overlapping pop-up windows...

I would be concerned too if my display on my iPod classic was not working. I recommend going through the steps in this tutorial. If it is a software issue, these steps should resolve the issue:

Trying to play Music Videos and screen goes grey

My music videos worked yesterday and this morning I go and hit play and there is no sound and the screen goes grey.

The DW site should have instructions to create a bootable partition with DW. It sounds like your CD might be bad and if that's the case you won't be able to create a recovery drive.
I suggest you use the Recovery Drive that is installed by Lion. Hold down Command R when restarting your computer. This will boot you into the recovery drive.

Screen lights up, music plays, but screen is blank

I have just recently sent in my first ipod mini to the Apple repair service. They sent me a replacement ipod. The replacement worked fine for a while but is now acting up.
The screen lights up, and the music plays just fine, but the screen is blank.
I have tried to plug the ipod into my computer - itunes does recognize it and updates it.
I have also tried to reset and restore the ipod, but to no avail.
I have contacted Apple repair services again, but they want me to send in the proof of purchase...but this is the replacement ipod that they had sent me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Movie and music video previews won't completely play

Movie and music vid previews will only partially play then simply stop before the end, sometimes 1 min of a 3 min preview. In my preferences, streaming buffer size is set at large -- is there some other place where I can set a cache or buffer size to allow these to play all the way through?

Showing movie artwork in videos preview screen

Is there anyway to set frontrow so it shows the movie dvd cover rather than actually start showing the movie in the preview screen. seems to make more sense than showing the opening credits to each movie that start to look the same. any help would be great, thanks.

I am also having the same problem. I deleted the movie from iTunes but kept the file so I could add it to the library again, but it still comes up with the artwork I no longer want! Please could someone try and solve this?

No video previews - just a blank screen

when i try to preview videos, i just get the preview window filled with the predominant background color of the video, but no motion. itunes has upgraded a couple times and still hasn't fixed the problem. prior to the upgrades, i'd get just a kaleidoscope of colors, but nothing recognizable in the preview pane. quicktime is the default player, so conflicts shouldn't be the issue.
i didn't see related posts when i searched. anyone else seeing the same thing.

By blank I assume you mean completely white is that correct?
If none of the usual 5 R's of troubleshooting do any good, you'll need to have the iPod either serviced or replaced as the LCD screen or ribbon cable is damaged or faulty.

Music Plays, but screen is blank

Help! I turned on my Ipod, and the screen wasn't turning on, it was jsut staying blank, but the music was playing. So i can only listen to songs on random or from the on-the-go playlist because i know the scroll pattern to find it.
Has this happened to anyone? Or does anyone know what to do?

Quit the music app completely and try it again. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Try the app again.
Or ....
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
