Music Video shuffle taken away with iOS5?

So I made the mistake of updating my iPad software to 5.01, and now I can no longer shuffle my music videos from my playlists?  I can only see the video by going into videos, selecting a video, watching, going back, selecting another one, etc?  I was able to shuffle them from my music video playlist before the upgrade.  Why take away that functionality?  I'm keeping my Touch at the current OS since that still works, but a shame the larger iPad won't shuffle music videos.  Why make it harder on end users to enjoy their content they purchased?

Your observations are all correct. The ipod touch cannot shuffle music videos. You can shuffle songs and etc but not music videos. It would be a great feature i recommend you leave feedback at the link below. I happen to have 22 music videos that i enjoy watching and a shuffle feature would be nice.

yahoo music videos do not play with v4 - rolled back to v3.6 and had no problems.

DustinMedlam, I have the same exact problem. I started using my Iphone 4S for shooting video about 2 months ago and tranferred them to my Windows machine with Windows 7. I use the clips in Sony Vegas pro 11 and make short movies. I upgraded to ios 6 last week and every video that I shoot with my iphone 4S now is not usable in Quictime or Sony Vegas???? My old videos from before ios 6 play just fine and I can use them in Sony Vegas with no problems. The only way to play the files is with Windows media player. this does me no good as I just began making short films and now I can not use any of the video I have shot since ios 6. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I shoot video with it and use the clips in Sony Vegas with no issues!?? I can not believe this is not BLOWING up on the internet like the WIFI issue is..... What do we do? All my video gear is for my Iphone not my galaxy S2. This is very annoying. I also notice that no one from Apple response to these support forums. So why are they available?? What a JOKE!

  • Trouble with loading videos - Manually manage music and videos not supported now with iOS5 and a 1st gen iPad?

Since updating my iPad 1st gen to iOS5.0.1 videos don't get loaded properly into the Videos app.
On the Summary page in iTunes of my docked iPad, I have always checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos".
I have my reasons for doing it this way, but that's for another thread perhaps.
The problem is that when I load a video to my iPad this way - by simply just dragging it from the desktop and onto the iPad, under Devices in iTunes - it copies/updates, and shows up on the iPad like it always has before iOS5. But now, with iOS5, when I undock, it can't be found anywhere within the Videos app on the iPad. The only way I can find it is to do a Search, which seems to find it, but when I click it, a different video plays - the first video in the Movies list in the Video app. Dock the iPad again, yes the video is there, according to iTunes, but no way to play it once iPad is undocked.
My suspicion is that with iOS5 you are no longer able to use the "Manually manage music and videos (Mmm&v)" that you will be forced to run everything through iTunes - and probably iCloud. I've unchecked the Mmm&v box, and get prompted with "Are you sure? - All existing content on the iPad will be replaced with content from your iTunes library". READ - "Rebuild your entire video and music collection, and this time run it all through iTunes. Welcome to iOS5. Have a nice day or two wasting your time rebuilding your entire video and music collection. Don't fight it. Use iTunes for everything! Until we finally make iTunes a decent piece of digital media management software, then you'll have to do it all again."
Okay, rant over - Anyone out there with running iOS5 on a 1st gen iPad with the Mmm&v option checked and able to load a video manually (not through iTunes)? Any other thoughts?
    Thanks

Yea, i managed to fix my issue in a wild fashion way But I DONT suggest it to anyone.
I like to hear why it happened after upgrading iTunes and if there is any peaceful solution.
Bythe way, here is how i fixed it :
1-i checked "manually manage music and videos" checkbox and clicked on "Sync" button
2-It showed a threating message that it will erase my music and videos ,......
3-I clicked on OK button and let iTunes do any thing she said , but the second it started to delete my treasures from my iphone, i disconnected my phone by pulling USB cable.
Now i have my musics and videos untouched and got that Option enabled again and i can manage my Music/Videos and Books manually.

  • Editing my cover music video in this fashion with about four/five shots on screen?

Type of editing I am wanting to do with my cover videos (multiple shots start @0:46): http://youtu.be/CBrBnmT8zWI
Hi everyone, I am a musician using Premiere Pro CS5.5 wanting to edit my cover music video in a fashion like the video posted above. The entire video has a white border, and each shot has its own border as well. Also, the shots change very often, and so does the structure of the borders and shots. I have been trying to figure out how to edit in this way, and I can't really figure out a way to do it all, yet alone efficiently since every shot must sync with the recorded audio.
Could someone help describe to me the process of doing this in an efficient manner in CS 5.5? Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks again.
sorta off topic, but i just saw Red Giant acquired SIngular? wow. thats cool for them to be connected with such a big company. i would imagine Pluraleyes 3 will be slightly more expensive now?   and will it be included in like magic bullet? or effects next year? hmmmm...

  • My question is how do I watch and play music videos in my car with mybipad2? I have a new cd player, andbit takes the USB cord supplied by apple. When hooked up all I get Is sound, no video. Just says "assoriy connected" any tips

My question is how do I watch music videos while my iPad is connected to the cd player in my car? I haveva new cd player. I get sound but screen just says accessory connected and I canted anything to the touch screen. Any tips?

1 a cd player only plays audio, no video
2 iPad does not tether to players other than to SEND data to an HDMI or VGA with the proper adapters.
The camera adapter will allow you to import camera data (pictures)

Actually for Windows I recommend Videora iPod Converter. It's easy to use and frequently updated. Give it a try: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/

  • Black screen after music videos shuffle ends

    1. After playing music videos that have been synced, the screen went black. (Videos were purchased via iTunes.) Since no menus were visible, had to reboot to get menu back. 2. How do you turn off the music sound after moving out of "my music" menu?

Is this repeatable, or perhaps a one off glitch.
    2. How do you turn off the music sound after moving out of "my music" menu?
Sometimes I find that annoying too, however that's what it's supposed to do. You can either begin to play some other content (excluding photos) or go back to the music selection and stop the track that's playing.

  • IPhoto 9.2 and video import from iPhone with iOS5.

From the moment I have upgraded iPhoto 11 to version 9.2 and iPhone 4 to iOS5 I have this problem.
While importing iPhoto show me in the new photo area all the new photo to import (correct) and all the video in the iPhone, either if they are still in the library!
Looking for the mistake I find that the file in the library and the file on the iPhone have the same movie, the same name, the same size, but date & time different. It seems like the older iOS (or the older iPhoto as well) use the end of the movie for date & time while the new version use the start of the movie.
    Any suggestion?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Ipod Touch Video Out not working with IOS5?

I normally could play video just fine from my Ipod to my TV and Exercise machine via the ipod plug in on the bottom...however since IOS5...video will play for  secs. on the TV then TV goes blank....sound works and the IPOD Touch displays the normal "Vidoe out" screen mode that normally shows when the video is being displayed on the TV.  any ideas?  any way to revert back to the previous OS?

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
What cable are yu using and what is the source of the videos?

  • Apps, some music, videos are gone after the ios5 update

    Hello, mates.
    1. I am wondering how I can get all my apps back. About 30 apps worth about 50 bucks are gone. Some of them can be downloaded back for free (I bought them) on appstore, but some seem to require repurchase (only buy option is available in the appstore for the apps that I bought long time ago).
    2. Some of the songs (the ones that cannot be downloaded on itunes, so I downloaded them from torrents. (folk, russian, kazakh, and etc)) were erased from my iphone 4. They are not present at the itunes (I updated today), neither in my playlists, nor in the general music folder. How can I get them back?
    3. I bought a couple movies a long time ago for my ipad. I then gave it to my little brother as a present (he blackmailed me, lol), and started using his own apple id. Is there a way I could download the same movies for my new macbook or iphone 4 without having to pay again?
    4. I have a second apple id that has a lot of shows. How can I download these shows on my macbook without having to erase my current itunes lib?

Siri isn't supported on the iPad 2.

  • ITunes music video's on iPad3

I bought some Music Video's from iTunes with my new iPad. Now, when I click on them I can hear the music, but NO MUSIC VIDEO PLAYS! Why? Also relevant, is that Podcasts play, but Video Podcasts are just like the music video's ... The sound plays but the video is missing.

BOY DO I FEEL SILLY! Thanks! It was as simple as that. I have moved the 'music' app and the 'video' app into the same folder now. Sheeze. I just can't believe I missed that. I do, "Thank you very kindly".

  • ITunes 7.4 won't play music videos

When I doubleclick on a music video, iTunes 7.4 won't play the video, only the music. Music videos where playing fine with prior versions of iTunes. No matter which option I choose in the Video Playback preferences, iTunes won't launch the video. Restarting iTunes didn't bring back music video playback either. Podcasts and Movies are playing just fine though.
    Any help ?
    Thanks

I had the same problem and I landed here - OS10.7, had iTunes 10.5.2 *thinking* it was playing - acts like it was?, shows pause icon - no audio, no actual playback.  ...Scrubber dot didn't move onPlay click. (And, dam, I was hungry for music!), but..  That's where I discovered it.  Of course, I had browser audio probs, too - YouTube, Hulu - and Skype - any app output audio was affected...
I struggled with this for at least a day!  Frustrated, I took out my other OS10 boot drives and tried troubleshooting...  No dice.  I halted CoreAudioD (whew) out of desperation...  I checked my audio lines..  Then I remembered I installed a trial of ProTools with an Avid audio driver (maybe looking for Digi-approved devices) at around the time of trouble.
My SysPref audio panel was showing only Avid's device - no line in, no ext spkr..  So, I ran the ProTools uninstaller to try that. That's where EVERYTHING went back to absolutely normal! (After the restart).  SysPref Audio panel shows all!  I selected LineOut (for me), and I got it.
iTunes and other audio-service-consuming apps suddenly didn't take 4 minutes to launch!, and my Lion install was like I first had it.  ProTools has a dedicated uninstaller - install that clean.  If you have a PT install that works, check the iLok config - my iLok is active and attached, but not for PT 10.  Maybe it's avid device->CoreAudio, may it's due to the PT trial???... Whatever it was, for me, the problem lied there.
Hope that helps any of you guys.  Good luck and thanks for the direction, bros..

  • Music video didn't work on the iPod

First of all, I apologize for my mistakes, my English is not so good.
I downloaded a music video on iTunes and I transfered to my iPod nano 4th gen., but the music video didn't play, the iPod plays just the sound, as the video were a music, it doesn't shows like a video, the iPod show just a single image, like a picture from the video.
What can I do to run the music video normaly on the iPod?

    Hello edu_h,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
How are you accessing this music video? Via *Music -> Songs* or through the Videos menu? If you haven't tried *Videos -> Music Videos* I would start with that.

  • Music Videos for Ze

Where can I purchase music videos that are compatible with the Zen V

    Hi Derrick!
Have you tried transferring the video to your library again (it could have been accidentally not selected right)?
Check to see if the file has been moved to a diffferent location on your computer.
Also, are you sure that the video is in the right format? Find the file on your computer, right click it, and click on "Properties".
Are you getting any error messages?
Also, if you're trying to transfer the video to your iPod (as opposed to just adding it to your iTunes library) and its not transferring, then be sure that the video is in either .M4V, .MP4, or .MOV format.
