Music will not synch in iOS 8

I upgraded to OS X 10.9.5 on my MacBookPro (late 2013) and then downloaded iOS 8 to my iPone 5. iTunes (v 11.4) has an odd behavior that doe not synch music to either completely. With the iPhone, I can specify synching all my music from the MacBookPro; the bar-graph display at the bottom of iTunes shows a healthy long blue music bar and about 1 Gb of free space. Hitting synch button does nothing. If I unplug the phone and and plug it back in the synch begins, but when it hist the "synch music" step, the blue bar shifts to the left leaving a tiny blue streak and only a couple of files transfer. No error message of any sort. Instead of showing 1 Gb free, 14 Gb are show as free.
I've tried setting to just transfer a few songs, but it produces exactly the same result.
Suggestions?

This isn't a Music app issue, per se, but it is related, so I'll put it here.
On my iPhone 5s, the volume control on the lock screen is now very close to the transport control buttons, so much so that it can be almost impossible to adjust the volume without activating one of the transport buttons instead. This is especially frustrating when listening to iTunes Radio as I will frequently activate the Skip button, which not only skips the song, of course, but inadvertently reduces my skip count. Since nothing else seems to have changed in the lock screen's layout, this repositioning makes no sense.

After updating to iOS6 my iCloud music will not synch to any device. I have looked at all possible "switches" and I've even wiped (full delete and reload via iCloud) of my iPad & iPhone. I've reloaded all music to iCloud, but still not downloading to iPad or iPhone. Some album info such as # of songs is displayed, but it cannot transfer the actual files. Can't even download iTunes purchases much less my 20K+ songs! It sees them, knows they are there, but will not download. No other internet/network problems with other devices in home. FLABERGASTED! Also some of my iPad apps refuse to reistal.

Do you have the settings to sync the ringtones automtically or manually? If manual, then you have to drag them from your ringtones list in iTunes onto your iPhone icon.

Are you syncing the music manually, automatically or over-the-air?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

I am using iOS 8.1 on the iPhone 6 and my music will not shuffle. It will play one or two songs then go to the home screen and stop playing music.

Then back it up and do a restore. If that does not work and if you are still under warranty, call Apple tech support or take the iPod to your local Apple Store or an AASP.

Delete it and redownload from here:

Some other things to verify:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings check "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library check all the songs you want to sync to your phone
Make sure there are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
Be sure to authorize your computer for all Apple IDs used for any purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)
Then make sure you have checked Sync Music on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your device.

Have Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. I noticed that my music will not play alphabetically anymore. Don't know exactly when this occured. I checked all my settings so doesn't seem to be that.Apple no longer is upgrading this unit..Thank u for your help.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

My iPod will not synch photo now that I have upgraded to iTunes 10

I recently upgraded to iTunes 10. Ever since, my 80GB iPod classic will no longer synch with my Photo Library. It synches everthing else fine, but it will not synch photos. Does anybody know a fix for this?

Change your itunes settinng from automatic mange music to manually manage music.
1. Go to your photo tab in itunes
2. Tick on sync photo from specified pth from your computer
3. press the sync button

Yes, my iPhone 5 running ios 7 will not sync in *any* way with itunes now. I can neither add nor remove content via itunes. I just tried to delete 100% of my music from my iphone, it hung forever on "Waiting for changes to be applied" and then when it was finally done... no changes had been applied.
I can't add, remove, change, delete or in any way of any kind sync my iphone with itunes any longer.

My iPod Touch will not synch properly or restore at all.

When I connect it to my i-Tunes library, it will not synch properly. I receive an error message saying: "ITunes was unable to load provider data from Synch Services. Reconnect or try again later." I do reconnect and I still eceive the same error message. When I attempt to restore the iPod Touch, I receive an error message saying that I don't have enough access permissions. When my son connected the iPod Touch to his i-Tunes library on his side of the computer (I have a PC with multiple accounts for me and my family), he did not receive any error messages. Moreover, he was able to synch the iPod Touch properly and even restore it to its factory settings without any trouble. I think that this may be a problem with my i-Tunes library, but I have tried several times to update my i-Tunes version and I still receive error messages. For some reason, my son does not have any problems. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finished, you will be asked if you wish the contents of iTunes to be copied to the iPad.

I am not sure if you really understand the issue at hand. Possibly that you are just scanning, not reading the whole text, or simply that you just want to close a thread with your last words or derail it for whatever strange reason. So far you have been more destructive than helpful, but again this could be ignorance at best.
If you would have had the decency to read the entire thread you would have come to the conclusion that every manufacturer, I came across, has posted FAQ's to this issue but Apple. Find a short excerpt below:
