MUST CONSTANTLY RESTART THE EXPRESS

On a daily basis, my MacBook Pro or iPhone go to sleep.  When I wake them up, they are often (but not always) on the 3G network and do not revert to wi-fi.  When this is the case and I try to join my network, one of two things happens.  1)  I immediately get a "cannot join" error message, or 2) I am prompted to enter my network password to join, and the result is the inevitable "cannot join" error message.  Why?  Why?  Why?

Another detail that I forgot to mention:
When I try to turn my ipod on normally, by holding on the menu or center button, the apple logo flashes briefly, but then it seems to tweak out and displays half the logo before fading away and freezing again. ***?

    I've had my iPod since December 2005. Just this last March or so, around the time when a new iTunes update came out, my ipod would have this problem: every time it would go to sleep mode, it refused to turn back on no matter what i did, except for resetting it. It's quite an annoying problem, as now I can never let it go into sleep mode. I have to reset my ipod every time I want to use it. What is causing this problem?? I now have the latest version of itunes and the latest ipod software, and I have formatted my ipod countless times.
    Also: my battery life has plummeted. It takes my computer a long time to recognize my ipod, followed by an error message on my ipod saying "very low battery life". However, I have read a few of the posts on the message boards saying that the front port of the Dell computers are unreliable, but it hasn't been an issue before these last few months. Any input on this issue would also be appreciated.

    This error occurs just after bootup, no programs started except windows..
    Running Windows 2000 latest version on a brand new computer.
    (pent 4 3.0 ghz 500MB ram).
    Can anyone help me with this problem? Happened after install Labview 7.0
    express. Installed twice and same problem occured with both installs.
    Labview 7.0 is the only thing installed right now. Also selected "Visual
    Basic Support" install from driver cd's.
    One other thing I just noticed. System info reports 2 processors and I
    think I only have one.

    After ignoring this problem for awhile and installing some NI DAQ boards,
    this problem is not happening anymore.
    Would urge NI to investigate further though. Messed me up for a couple of
    days, and still don't know why it happened.

    If I click a link on my desktop or in any other program (while Firefox is open and running), I get this message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. There's about a billion links for this if you Google it, but they all say that Firefox wasn't shut down properly. (OK, maybe not ALL of them, but if the needle is in that haystack, I haven't yet found it.) That's not the issue in my case since I haven't shut FF down at all.

    Update firefox, it asked me to update flash, I tried to update flash but it said I had to close firefox. A box came up and said the Flash install would continue when I closed firefox.     somehow i couldn't get rid of one website called www.searchqu.com/405 set as my homepage... I tried all solutions given to change the homepage but whenever i restarted firefox that homepage used to come automatically..     Assuming it's Windows, right click a blank part of the Windows Taskbar and go to Task Manager. Then click the ''Processes ''tab, find '''firefox.exe''' and then right click it and choose '''End Process'''.

    A friend said she downloaded an update to Firefox (a version of 6, I believe) but didn't install the update, but the desktop icon was gone. The only way to launch Firefox was from the Programs folder. When clicking on the Firefox file, a "Setup" pop up window appeared stating "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?" Clicking "No" does not launch Firefox and clicking "Yes" reboots the computer, but nothing changes after restart and the same series of events keeps re-occurring. When clicking on the safe mode file, Firefox was launched. I went to "Add/Remove Programs" and found Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3. When attempting to remove the program, the same reboot "Setup" pop up appears, and the same non-results as previously described, persisted. I deleted all Firefox files and deleted the update set up .exe files. I again tried to remove the Firefox 3.6.3 program, with the same outcome as the previous attempt(s). I went to the Firefox website and downloaded the updated Firefox 7.0.1 set up .exe file, saved and ran it. When I reached the Setup Wizard page that prompts a "Standard" or "Custom" installation, I clicked on Standard and the same reboot pop up window appeared, again with no change after the reboot. So I have a Program installed (Firefox 3.6.3) with no files, and which can not be removed, an executed update/download .exe for Firefox 7.0.1 that can not be completely installed due to the failure to update by reboot problem. I'm out of ideas on how to try to resolve these problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

    Firefox will be hanging for some reason. The quick solutions to kill the process and try again. The next step is to try to see if it will start and exit normally a couple of times, if so the problem is solved. If not the reason needs further investigation.
