Must refresh to correctly display page

Using Safari 3 beta, when I go to sites that I made using iWeb or Dreamweaver CS3, perhaps other sites as well, sometimes they come up as a page of html rather than the website. To get the actual site, I must refresh the page once or twice. My suitemate also has this problem.
It only happens in Safari. Firefox works fine.
Thoughts?

I'm having the same issue. When I start up my browser the home page (I'm using iGoogle) will not display. I have to hit the refresh button to make the page appear. I also have to do this with the majority of the pages that I visit. I was hoping that I wouldn't run into this issue again once I reinstalled the browser, since installing it after it was announced.
The browser looks like it is loading the entire html file, but it doesn't appear to always load all the images, css, or js files associated with it. There are times that it loads all the images and the html but doesn't display them.
I have also cleared my cache folder. But that doesn't seem to have solved anything. This is extremely frustrating!

Firefox does not display page information correctly

On the form on http://ppbm5.com/submission.html select a raid level of Raid 0 for the OS disk and select the Number of OS disk next. The only choices you see are 3, 4, 5 and 6. The same applies to the project disk question and the output disk question.
Using Chrome or Internet Explorer the number of disks shown to choose from are 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Firefox hides or forgets the option for 2 disks.
The form used shows up correctly in the Form Maker site, it shows up correctly in Dreamweaver, it shows up correctly in both Chrome and Internet Explorer.
My only conclusion is that this is a Firefox issue. What can be done to resolve this?
As it currently is, one can only tell visitors to only use the form with Chrome or IE.
PS. I tried with FF 4.0 beta 10 and the problem persists.
BUT, the strange thing is on two other machines, with FF 3.6.13 the problem does not occur, so something must have messed up my regular system to prevent the correct display of the page.
I tried disabling add-ons, extensions and plug-ins, but that did not help.

Did you use the same [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] for the test with 3.6.x and 4.0 ?
Looks like a problem with JavaScript (Ajax).
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If you the Firefox 4 beta version with the same profile then you should create a new profile exclusively for the 4.0 beta version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

Firefox 3.6 does not display pages correctly

I recently upgraded to 3.5 beta 4 and it worked ok. 2 weeks ago it stopped displaying pages correctly. Uninsalling and reinstalling did not cure problem. I unistalled and installed v3.6. Same problem.
I could provide a screenshot of Mozilla home page. Backgrounds, table borders and some inages to not display. I have disabled all plugins and "load images automatically" is checked.
The images and background of this page do not display. I checked with K-meleon and IE.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.

Safari doesn't display page correctly

As of recently Safari has not correctly displayed a rather important webpage, I can still use it, but it becomes rather annoying. The site is http://studentloan.citibank.com/slcsite/index.htm
If I go the site in Firefox, everything is fine. In Safari there are these boxes with a smaller blue square in the lower left hand corner of the box. I've tried changing the encoding, emptying the cache, and so on and so forth.

I also get the error message "Certificate Not Verified - code will be treated as unsigned". Please see thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1359057&stqc=true I just started (as it is a slightly different topic).

Refreshing ALV output display

Hi,
I have a report with ALV .In the output success or error message gets displayed in a column based on certain conditions.The errors can be manually corrected.I
f the errors are corrected and 'Refresh' button is pressed in my output,the error message displayed in the output should disappear.
As of now,this happens if the report is run again but i want this to happen just by clicking of refresh button.i.e. the entire report should be run again with the existing inputs entered in selection screen.
If i try to call the same program using 'submit' spool gets created,but i want the output in the same page.
Can you please tell me how this can be achieved.

The following method call is used to refresh the data displayed within an ALV object grid:

How to display page no for different master pages in one adobe form application

Hi All,
we have requirement where we need to display page nos in different master pages in one single adobe form.
For the First form the page nos should be displayed pgno of total pages and for 2nd form the page no shuld be displayed as pgno of total pg.
so please help me with any script or suggestions for displaying the page no accordingly in different master pages. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We have 2 different Master pages and 2 Body pages. For the seccond Master page the page no are comming correct like 1 of 3 ,2 of 3 and 3 of 3 but for First master page the page no are comming 0 of 3 in all of the page its not displaying the current page no in 1st master page.
Screen shots are attached for first master page and Hierarchy Node.Pls see the highlighted section in 2nd image.

How do I display "Page $$ of $$" in a Captivate 4 project?

Okay, I know that I can use a transparent text caption with "Page $$rdinfoCurrentSlide$$ of $$rdinfoSlideCount$$".
The problems are:
- I want this to be displayed in a very small font in the far right corner. Unfortunately, the variables are so big that I cannot place the text caption on the far right. Although using center justification and some spaces before this text, I can approximate the location I want this to display in.Unfortunately, even though the x/y coordinates are precise on every slide, the text moves around a bit from slide to slide.
Is there a better way to FIX this text into a specific spot? i.e. a fixed x/y location placehold for each of these variables?
- Oddly, it only begins counting on the first page it is displayed. In my lesson, this caption is placed on the second slide... but it displays Page 1 of 26. I suppose I could subtract 1 from $$rdinfoCurrentSlide$$.
- What is the best way to copy this text caption to each page of my project?
Must I really copy page to each individual page?
If I select "Display for rest of Project" I cannot remove it from a few slides where it is not appropriate. It cannot be covered up either - because it will flash there for a very short moment... doesn't look good.

Hi Shawn
On the slide where you inserted the caption, make note of its name. You find this in the Options tab.
On the slide where you wish to hide the caption, edit the Slide Properties and configure an On slide enter event to Hide the caption.
As for the brief display of the variable, you may be able to mask it out briefly. I say *may* here, as I'm not 100% certain it will work with the caption displaying for the rest of the project. But it's certainly worth a try! Just insert a Highlight Box in the position to obscure it briefly. If you want the appearance of the Caption fading into view, configure the Highlight Box to fade out.
Give that a go and see how you fare... Rick

Your changes are driving me back to IE now I can no longer attach a photo I cannot open using my bookmark and now you have screwed up my ebay display page I have to use IE to do these things why ? ?

1) since an earlier update I can no longer make an attachment using Firefox, must use IE
2) I can no longer click on Firefox using a bookmark, must go to Icon on bottom of page
3) Now - my ebay display page is screwed up, if I go to IE is perfect

Data Integrator: Arabic characters are not correctly displayed

Hi,
I'm trying to load Arabic text via an UTF8 flat file into an Oracle database.
I've read several topics and set the correct code page settings (also during install) for the datastore and flat file.
Already in flat file preview (see attached screenshot), the wrong characters are displayed. The characters as they are displayed, are inserted in the database. So I think that if I get the flat file preview correctly, the text is inserted correctly into the database.
On the other hand: When i copy the contents of the flat file, via a bodi job, to another flat file, the target flat file does contain the correct characters (when opened in a utf8 file reader).
I tried several solutions and also went through the Code Page help topic on the BODI site.
Does anyone know a solution to my problem or know this is a BODI bug or something?
I'm using Designer version 11.5.3.9 (I went through fix notes of versions after 11.5.3.9, but saw nothing mentioned about my problem). The Oracle database does support arabic characters as I can insert them via e.g. SQL Developer.

I indeed saw a kind of this solution somewhere else. What I did not is restarting the computer, since it is a shared server. Maybe that was why it didn't solve my problem.
Before I restart an additional question: I need to convert some files with Turkish characters as well.
Have you got a value which I can put in NLS_LANG, which supports these characters and Arabic characters both at the same time?

Safari will not display pages

I recently updated to Mountain Lion on my late 2010 MacBook Air. Today, I attempted to use Safari and I can get no page to display. Safari itself loads, but no pages will load. I use Chrome as my default browser and only pull up Safari occasionally, so I can't say for sure that I have used Safari since the upgrade, however, I probably have.
Today, I was invited to a Go To Meeting online meeting. I opened the page in Chrome and it downloaded the GTM app. I clicked on that and it tried unsuccessfully to download required files from it's server via it's own app. I tried this several times without success and then thought to try the entire process using Safari. That is when I discovered that Safari would not display pages. It acts as if it has no connection to the internet. Safari loads and the progress bar moves a little across the top then it just stops. It never times out or complains; just nothing.
Given that the GTM app looks also like it cannot connect to the internet, I went looking at some of the suspects. My firewall is turned off. My network status comes up clean when I test it. ...and more oddly, Chrome seems to have no problems with any and all pages.
I searched for similar problems with solutions and one recommendation was to boot into safe mode to see if that made a difference. I did that and there was no difference. Since I don't use Safari routinely, it is stock, as delivered.
Any ideas for how to troubleshoot this?

Select  ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network ▹ Advanced ▹ Proxies. If any proxies are selected, deselect them, apply your changes, and try again. You must apply the changes before they take effect. You don’t need to change the other settings.

Auto Query in Before Display Page Section

To display the Body Page based on the condition then we must write the code in the FormCalc or JavaScript under the event :initialization or Form Ready or Layout Ready event for the Root Node in the Heirarchy Palette of the Layout Designer.
For Example:
Consider JavaScript under the Initialization event for root node "Data"

Personalization Error: Cannot Display Page

i've attached a stack layout region to a OA standard page via personalization.
It contains an extension of the standard AM (and its substitution) and table with some messagestyledtext and Lovs.
The table is displayed and also the values contained in the lovs are correct, but when I click on the torch I get the seguent error:
"Error: Cannot Display Page
You cannot complete this task because one of the following events caused a loss of page data:
* Your login session has expired.
* A system failure has occurred.
To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Then, access this page again using the application's navigation controls (menu, links, and so on) instead of using the browser's navigation controls like Back and Forward."
This Lov takes value from a VO associated with a new AM, but I get the same error trying to use a VO already included in the base AM..... but everything still works on the page, just the pop-up doesn't works!....how can I solve it?

It seems you are trying to extend the root AM and hence getting this error. Extension/substitution of root AM is not allowed in OAF.

Whole Page Refreshes while Navigating between Pages

I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6 and I tried to implement a custom template with custom navigation in the template. Below are the details :
1) Created a Template with navigation links on the left side .
2) Added the Default Navgation links as follows :

3) I was able to display the content and the links and all the links are displaying the corresponding data in the content facet .
But when I click on any of the links the whole page is refreshing. Could you please let me know how can i make only the facet to refresh instead of whole page .

It's normal that when you are using an af:goLink the entire page is refreshing. An af:goLink is just a normal hyperlink.
That is normally the recommended case for a portal where you want robots to index your portal properly.
If you really want to use PPR you have to use a commandButton instead. There is an example of that code in the normal portal template when you create a new webcenter portal application. Just copy that part and you should be fine.
