Mute Button and Volume Slider

Hey guys, ever since updating to Windows 7, if I have the mute button enabled and I accidently hit the volume slider it unmutes. Is there any way to disable this feature and disable volume changes unless it is unmuted? Thanks for any help. I have a Satellite L505-S6959.

You have a couple of options as I see it please find the steps given below.
First try system restore on the unit to the date where unit was working fine if this does not work
Then go to HP website dowload the latest driver for the Finger print and check.
Update the Bios on the unit.
If all these steps does not resolve then last option to is to run a recovery please back up all the data on the unit as it will be lost.

Hi, sill no joy with my sound on my iPad .the sound only works on one app ( Annie ) and the ring volume and it works for about 5 seconds after I switch it on . Was talking to apple and they said the reset my iPad and this will fix it .done this and it is still not working only with earphone and Annie. What next ?As they said this is unheard of as it was the upgrade to iso6 that caused this problem . Help

I'm having same problem with my 3G. When I adjust my ringer volume it says headphone in parentheses. I can still hear thru headphones. Until u get it fixed maybe u could try this as a temp solution. Good luck.

T500 mute button and OSD not working

Hi. I'm having a problem after upgrading my t500 to windows 7 ultimate 64bit.
The volume buttons work fine (even without the hotkey software installed), but the mute button and the on screen display doen't work.
While I can live without the OSD, the lack of a mute button is really bothering me.
I have the power manager installed as well as the hotkey software. not sure if this has anything to do with it but UltraNav is also installed.
No idea where to go from here so I'd appreciate any help the community can provide.

I was having similar problems with some R500's and so I did some research, and came across the following, as mentioned in:

To test if this is your issue, run C:\DRIVERS\HOTKEY\OSD\tposdsvc.exe and see if it complains that msvcr100.dll is missing. If it does, install Visual C++ and it should work after that.”
What is not said, but what is critical, is that you have to install the 32 bit version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, even on a 64 bit version of Windows 7 Professional.
You then have to reboot the computer after the install for the change to take effect.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Camera Unlock Button and Volume Rocker Unresponsiv...

I have experienced multiple issues with the Lumia 900 Camera Button and Volume Rocker.
The Camera button should unlock the phone when held down but is often unresponsive even after the update. If you can't unlock the phone from the camera button it pretty much defeats the purpose of having a dedicated camera button. I made sure that the "Prevent Accidental Camera Unlock" feature was turned off and still had issues.
The volume rocker is also often unresponsive when the phone is locked. This causes the user to have to unlock the phone to adjust the volume while listening to music or podcasts which is very annoying.
Nokia, please fix these bugs and end the Smartphone Beta Test.

I'm having the exact same issue. I have also confirmed that the demo units on display at the ATT stores suffer from this problem as well. In addition the ATT rep helping me could also reproduce this intermittent problem with her camera button.
Hopefully this gets addressed. My Samsung Focus was very reliable in this regard.

For no apparent reason, the on/off button and volume buttons stopped working. iPod touch 4th gen with 4.3.3 installed.

You can try a couple of things.
First a hard reboot: hold the sleep/wake and home button down until the unit shuts off and boots back up to the Apple screen.
Second restore the device py plugging it into iTunes and under the device summary screen click restore. You want to restore from backup to make sure all your info is synced back to the iPod at the end. Depending on how much stuff is on there this can take a while.
Thrid, take it to the Apple Store and have a Genius look at it. Depending you how bussy your local Apple store is you probably want to make a reservation first.

iPhone 3GS.. The sleep/wake button and volume buttons aren't working.. Can't shut my phone off, can't put it in sleep mode, can't higher or lower volume or can't put phone on vibrate. Does anyone know how to fix this? It just stop working out of the blue.. I tried to reset my phone to network setting but that doesn't do anything for my problem and I am not able to restart phone by hold sleep/wake button and home button.. if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
You can also turn on Assistive Touch in Settings>General>Accessibility to add those buttons to the iPods screen.
