MUTED BRASS- Does Logic come with them?

I'm looking to orchestrate commercial style stuff, so I need mutes of all kinds for brass, and of course I need good saxes...Does Logic come with those?
If not, can you recommend a library? Fablesounds Broadway Big Band is over $2000, and the Garritan Big Band sounds wonky...any advice?
Also, is it ok to put the sound libraries (new ones, not the apple ones) on an external drive?

It all depends on your set up. The problem I have been having is that I am using an Alesis iO 26 FW400 interface and two large LaCie Big Disk extremes on the FW800. I also capture video from HD cameras. The power to all the FW jacks are shared and the Alesis and most FW interfaces use a lot of bandwidth. Enough so that errors occur like the Alesis doen't get enough juice so it doen't respond and you have to reboot it by un- and re-plugging it. Sometimes you do this and the drives disappear and you need Disk Utility to remount them. Sometime distortion. I have managed to make it work but it certainly is not a good situation.
I had a client come in with his HD camera to capture some footage and when I plugged in the camera the entire FW bus went down. Not good.
A PCI(e) cards does not share its power with the FW bus so you end up with a lot more stable system. Card comes tomorrow and cost $115. Worth every penny not having to worry about my drives.
I wouldn't consider 2 gigs of RAM lots. I am considering adding to my 4.5. Mostly since I tend to run LP8, FCP, Photoshop, Motion, Aperture at the same time with clients or subs in the room.
ALL THAT SAID...if you have two drives, on the boot drive for the app and the other for content, you are fine to start and will know what you need as your needs expand--and they probably will.

Built-in to OS X is the ability to capture an entire screen or selected portions. Snaps are saved to the Desktop by default:

In your Utilities folder is a utility called Grab that provides similar functionality and more.
Then there are dozens of third-party solutions such as SnapNDrag and SnapzProX. You will find them and others at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Most have trial versions or trial times so you can test them out.

High-demand Apple items like iPhones are attractive to unscrupulous resellers because people want them so badly they will take stupid actions to get one. Bad resellers may quote a price tha sounds great but then say it does NOT include the accessories that Apple ships at no cost.

Does iMovie comes with mavericks upgrade?

My hard drive was damage and I wasn't able to upgrade or restore my Mac, the good thing is that I made a backup before the hard drive got damage. I had to purchase a solid state drive (I know they last less than the hard drives), I installed ran the new OS Mavericks, but I find out that it does not come with imovie or iphoto. How can recover these apps without having to purchase the through the Mac AppStore.

If your computer shipped with a disk or you have an iLife 11 DVD, install it from there.
If it originally shipped with 10.7 or newer, log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID used to register the computer and download them from the Purchases tab.

No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.

My Iphone 4 does not come with a SOFTWARE UPDATE option.

My partner bought my iphone 4 version 4.2 about two years ago from a well known store. He got himself one at the same time but i cannot update mine because it does not come with an option in settings, general that allows me to update it. Does iTunes come with 32bit and 64bit install?

I have Windows 7 and it's a 32bit and 64bit Gaming Laptop G73SW.
I've done all the troubleshoot tips, which has just made my computer worse.eg all icons changed, things now missing, so probably have to do a System Retore to get it all back.
Every time i speak to Apple, they're suggestions just make my computer stuffed, iTunes takes over all my programs etc.
Simply put: Does iTunes come with a 32bit and 64bit Install??? If not i won't be using that program.

Yes, Keynote is iWork's PowerPoint equivalent. You can save as a PowerPoint file as well. Very easy to use IMO.

Bridge is a separate install in CC but is of course included.

A Cloud subscription provides for installing working installations on two machines. You can have mixed operating systems (both Windows and Apple's OX).

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)
