Mutiple sides side by side, receiving incorrect management point

Hi,
We are currently setting up a new configmgr 2012 R2 enviroment, we already have a 2K12 SP1 enviroment and planning to replace this system by the new system. They are both in the same subnet.
Recently clients are receiving the managementpoint from the new server but they are still assigned to the old site code.
Is this normal behaviour, and can I "lock" the relation Site code <-> Mp's

They have the same boundaries configured.
So you have overlapping boundaries and that is bad for site assignment. You need to fix your boundaries so they don't overlap.

3702i AP's not Joining WLC - Layer 3 discovery request not received on management VLAN

This is a follow up post to this thread: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12400481/3702i-not-joint-2504
Have been playing around with my AP's and made sure the time is correct on all the devices ( WLC and Switch). I have also moved the AP's to the same Vlan as the management IP of the WLC.
if I move the AP's to the same Vlan as the WLC they join and are happy, as soon as I move them to a different Vlan they cant join and there time goes back to the default plus they do not seem to save the WLC details to flash but still remember the test names I give them.
it appears that option 43 is working fine as I can see it look for the WLC IP and I have done some trouble shooting on the WLC and it looks like it see's the AP but doesn't except it.

I have also placed a Device in Vlan 20 and it is able to ping the WLC and the WLC can ping it s routing is working.

Error while Running Receiving Transaction Manager

We have 11..5.10.2 on AIX 5.3 intermeditley we are getting the below error for Receiving Transaction Manager. for temporary sloution we will restart the Receiving Transaction Manager is there any permanent solution for this.....?
we have two Receiving Transaction Manager process.

O/S:AIX 64 bits 5.3 L
We are unable to create any receipts due to following error.Checked Receiving Transaction Manager and that is running fine.
Error Message
Your receipt could not be created successfully because your receiving transaction manager timed out.
Please contact your System Administrator for further assistance.
Steps To Reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In Iprocurement select requisition to receive
2. Enter required data and press submit
3. on screen receive Items: review and submit get above error message
Profile RCV: Processing Mode is currently set to 'online'
Could anyone please share resolution to such an issue faced before.

Receiving Transaction Manager concurrent program errors out with INACTIVE, NO Manager

Hi,
We have an R12.1.3, 2-node (1 node Apps, 1 node DB) ERP system on Sparc 64, Solaris 10 Machines.
All the concurrent managers including Standard Manager and Receiving Transaction Manager are running fine.
When we are running the concurrent program Receiving Transaction Manager(RCVTPO), it errors out with Inactive No Manager error.
I am not being able to find any errors in the log files of CM or DB.
Could someone help me resolve this error. Its kinda urgent

Hi Gurus,
I need your help on a concurrent request ( Receiving Transaction Manager ) showing as Inactive/No Manager.
EBS: R12.1.2 on Linux
Database: 11.2.0.3 on HP UX Itanium
A user is submitting the concurrent request - "Receiving Transaction Manager" (It is a concurrent program not a concurrent manager). The request ends up as Inactive/No Manager. When I click on the diagnostics button this is what it shows -
"No concurrent manager is defined to process this request, so it cannot be processed.
Contact your system administrator to define a concurrent manager to process this request or to verify that existing concurrent managers have the correct specialization rules."
I ran analyzereq.sql and the analysis is
Analysis:
Request 1427025 is in phase "Pending" with status " Normal".
                           (phase_code = P)   (status_code = I)
This request is an unconstrained request. (queue_method_code = I)
It is in a "Pending/Normal" status, ready
to be run by the next available manager.
Checking managers available to run this request...
There is no manager defined that can run this request
This should show on the form as Inactive/No Manager
Check the specialization rules for each
manager to make sure they are defined correctly.
Additional information (from apps.FND_CONC.DIAGNOSE):
No concurrent manager is defined to process this request, so it cannot be processed.
Contact your system administrator to define a concurrent manager to process this request or to verify that existing concurrent managers have the correct specialization rules.
I ran another SQL to find out which manager runs the program :

It returned blank (or) NULL for controlling Manager.

I thought that for a concurrent program when no specific manager is defined, Standard Manager is the default. Is my understanding wrong ?? Have anyone of you faced this issue? How did you fix it ?
I did check the profile - Concurrent: Conflict Domain for the responsibility and it is blank.

Your understanding is correct, unless this concurrent program is excluded from being processed by standard manager.
If the request was not processed then the no rows output is an expected behavior -- (Doc ID 344011.1)

I would check the line items.
There will be missing line items, I would check them.
Have you got any noted items, special GL items, items that were cleared in the future?
Also have you activated Head Office display as per Enhancement Package 4 - that could be a reason as well.

Management Point did not install during deployment

I found the 2007 client installed on this server prior to the install. I removed the client with /uninstall... however after the installation of CM 2012 the managment point did not install. It pointed me to the mpmsi.log. Below is that log. Has anyone run

This normally means there is another install process in progress. So please restart the computer and try again. If no avail, check whether there is a process name msiexec running.

SCCM 2012 R2 - Management Point deployment to untrusted domain

Hi all,
we've got two domains in our environment which have no trust relationship. I have sccm 2012 r2 installed on a Windows 2012 R2 server in the larger domain
and have just installed a DP and MP on a Windows 2008 R2 server in the second, smaller domain. The Management Point installed ok according to mpmsi.log but the problem i'm having is that the mpcontrol.log is now repeatedly throwing up the following message:
Call to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 80 with status code 500, text:Internal Server Error
On the dp/mp server in the smaller domain i can browse to http://sccm-dp1/ ok. I can also browse to http://sccm-dp1/sms_mp/.sms_aut?MPCert ok. I cannot
browse to http://sccm-dp1/sms_mp/.sms_aut?MPList (receive a HTTP 500 error).
In additon to this, every now and again the MP tries to connect to the SQL DB in the other domain. This fails with the following errors:

had a Management Point Connection Account which could access the SQL DB in the larger domain. I'm wondering if the two error messages i'm receiving are related or whether i have two separate issues here?

thanks for taking the time to help. I registered asp.net v4 with IIS as per your suggestion, unfortunately it hasn't made much difference and i'm still seeing the "Call
to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 80 with status code 500, text:Internal Server Error"
message repeating in mpcontrol.log. Have you got any further suggestions of things
to try? Seems like an error message i really need to fix!
As far as the MP to SQL issue goes, the network team assured me the connection is allowed
but i might get them to double check this just in case.

Managment Point Error 5400

We installed a Primary Site (PS1) and installed a the roles "Distribution Point" and an additional "Management Point" on a another Server (SiteSystem1).
Now we receive a Component Error (SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER, Error 5400):
MP File Dispatch Manager running on the management point "SiteSystem1" cannot connect to site server "PS1". The operating system reported error 64: The specified network name is no longer available.
Possible cause: The site server is turned off, not connected to the network, or not functioning properly.
Solution: Verify that the site server is turned on, connected to the network, and functioning properly.
Possible cause: Network problems are preventing MP File Dispatch Manager from properly accessing the site server.
Solution: Investigate and correct any problems with your network.
Refer to Configuration Manager documentation for more information.
All other Services and Components are running without any errors. We already added the Compter "SiteSystem1" into the local "administrators"-Group on the PS1 and the PS1 into the local "administrators"-Group on the SiteSystem1
and restarted both systems. But still the same error.
The mpfdm.log does popup any errors.
System: System Center Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 CU4
Any ideas?

SiteSystem1 member
of the local group 'SMS_SiteSystemToSiteServerConnection_MP_<your-site-code>'?
also, check the log files on SiteSystem1.

Management Point fails after installing SCCM 2012 SP1

I'm carrying out an install of SCCM 2012 SP1 with the following hardware (fresh install not an upgrade from 2007)
1. Newly built Windows Server 2012 box
2. Site database located on a remote SQL 2012 cluster, both nodes Windows Server 2012, with CU5
The install went fine but when checking the Site Server Components the Management Point isn't installing. The following both show errors;

I've tried uninstalling MP and reinstalling, triple checked all the right pre-reqs in Roles and Features are enabled, even rebuilt the server from scratch and tried again but same result.
Would really appreciate some help if anyone's fixed this issue

On checking I don't seem to have anything in IIS, no default web site.
I've tried reinstalling IIS and reinstalling SCCM 2012 but what ever I do I still hit the same issue with the Management Point.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cleanup disk space on SCCM Management point server

Hi all
I have a SCCM 2007 infrastructure with 1 primary site and three secondary sites.
The disk data D of a sccm management point of one secondary site is full.
Is it possible cleanup data from a sccm tool??

if you have other drives with enough space,you can create no_sms_on_drive.SMS and place it on the root folder to avoid storing the packages.

Internet based management of SCCM clients and management points ?

We have an SCCM backend infrastructure which is used to manage what is in affect multiple external organizations over the internet. Currently each SCCM client is managed by the primary server directly over the internet.
Am I right that we could place a configmgr management point on the internal networks and for the clients to talk to this server when connected to the company network instead of all clients getting patched across the internet connection ? Meaning that
just the MP would communicate with our backend infrastructure ?

So your internal clients are now connecting over the internet to the local MP? How does this setup look like exactly? How were the clients installed (parameters)?

Uninstall and Reinstall Secondary Site Management Point Role

Dear Brothers,
I have an issue with one of my SCCM 2012 Sp1 with CU3 Secondary Site Server which the client failed to install on the actual server due to a client issue observed in the CCMSetup.log.
Observation Regarding the issue:
Issue Detail No1.
SCCM Client is not installing to my Secondary Site Server with site code (XYZ), after all the site server are also clients in SCCM hierarchy so it self needs SCCM Client as well.
CCMSetup.log:
"Error 25150. Setup was unable to register the CCM_Service_HostingConfiguration endpoint" when you try to install the client agent in Configuration Manager"
According to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2905359
the solution is to :
1. Uninstall the management point role.
2. Reinstall the client agent on the management point computer.
3. Reinstall the management point role.
Issue Detail No 2.
When I am trying to uninstall the Management Point Role via SCCM Console as part of the solution posted on the above KB Article, unfortunately the delete or uninstall option is been greyed out.

However on the last comment of the above thread from"Trana010"
stated a tool or a command

Which I never tried yet, and also cannot find a reliable KB supporting the command "rolesetup.exe".
Questions:
1. What is the best way to uninstall/Reinstall the management point on secondary site considering the above issue details?
2. Should I installed CU4 directly instead? Maybe it will resolved the issue even though it is not related to the current case

Well, it's by design that you can't remove a management point on a secondary site, so I can imagine that that's why there is nothing "official" written on that subject. I think there are three things you can do:
Try to run the command line (which is probably unsupported)
Submit a CSS call
Upgrade to CU4 and assume the problem is gone.

Dear Peter,
I end up shooting a case with CSS, he guided me and share that this issue is very common.
The reason is that it requires CU3 upgrade (Configmgr2012ac-sp1-kb2882125-x64.msp) to be installed with the SCCM Client installation (The same time) via command line in an elevated permission.
Follow the solution provided by Microsoft Support:
CCMSetup.exe /forceinstall SMSSITECODE=XYZ CCMENABLELOGGING=TRUE CCMLOGLEVEL=0 PATCH=C:\Configmgr2012ac-sp1-kb2882125-x64.msp
It seems the Client Push provided by SCCM 2012 Sp1 Infra, that includes your Hotfix under the "Hotfix" folder under the client source folder somehow doesn't work with this issue, that's why the work around is to help the ccmsetup to grab the Hotfix with
by providing the path for the hotfix instead of relying to take the hotfix for the hotfix folder.
Overall peter thanks for your suggestion. And also to Mr. Jason Sandys opening the option for an R2 upgrade, I will look into the KB for this to plan for implementation.
