Mutlithreading without Db environments and transactions

Question

Hi!
1) Is it possible to write data to the same table from the several threads simultaneously without using Db environment and without user level syncronization (for example, mutexes)?
2) Is it safe to use Db table in that way: one thread is used for writing to the table and the several other threads are used for reading from the table in the same time with no user level syncronization (like mutexes and other)?
3) If no. Do I need user level syncronization to make 1) and 2) safe without using environment.

This means that BDB will be configured as Data Store. You'll have to synchronize the readers and the writer, because only a single thread of control may be using the database when updates are required.

You can do that only if you are using CDS (use DB_INIT_CDB and DB_INIT_MPOOL when opening the environment).

Yes, without using an environment you'll have to synchronize them. I suggest you to use an environment and configure it as a Concurrent Data Store.
