I have a Muvo2 MP3 Player .5GB,
Model No DAP-CS000
It's showing Only [999Mb] I have many Mp3 Tracks!

Help_me,
) When charging the player it is best if you let it charge and then transfer with it plugged in after the battery is full.
2) To fix the current problem I would suggest downloading the updated firmware for the MuVo 2 and install it on the player. Then try charging it again.

My 4 gig MuVo will only let me use 224 megabyt

I have a Nomad MuVo2 4.0 gig and I can put music on it but it will only let me use 224 mb. I updated the firmware, drivers, and I reformatted it more than once. I've also tried using different programs to load music but none can put on more than like 50 because of the memory issue.... Please help, i dont want to have to buy another one. -matt

Other MuVo players have a problem if too many files are placed in the root folder of the device. I'm not sure if this applies to your MuVo2 as it has a HDD but if you do access it using folders (does it appear as a dri've letter in Windows Explorer?) then the solution is to create sub-folders beneath the root folder and put your files there. You don't have to go as far as creating separate folders for each album - a single Music folder with everything else inside it will work.
Apologies if I have got it wrong about the way the MuVo2 works.

Installed new 3Tb hard drive ,WD3003FZEX -00Z4SAO Black .BIOS only showing as 801Gb.

The simple solution is to install a 2TB drive. Otherwise please the following articles.
1) Beyond 2.1 GB and the UEFI BIOS
2) The GPT format and using 3TB as data drives only
3) How to know if my computer is using EFI/UEFI or BIOS firmware interface

Thumbnails only showin in some sizes

Hi,
I've been in i-Photo and I-Tunes this evening, moving photo and music files into the Shared folder and (when I couldn't get that to work properly) back into my own user directory.
Now, even though all of my photos are still there:
1. when I try to resize them for anything between very small and very large, there is a blank box with a dotted outline (and still with the filename under it) and I can't view the photo .... however, when I resize to either very small or very large, I CAN view the photo;
2. when I try to play a slideshow (which had previously been set to a particular playlist in i-tunes), I get a message saying that the music I have chosen is not available. This is despite the fact that when I go back to the music selections and click on that playlist, it is still there and I can hear it.
Any useful tips from anybody would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks TD .... that has solved the first of my questions (greatly appreciated).
However, I still have the issue that when starting to play a slideshow, a dialogue box comes up saying that the music I have selected can't b found or can't be opened.
I know that the playlists are still there, and I can even click on them in the Music setting of i-photo and hear them .... is this something you've seen before?

File names are only showin 2-3 letters

on my desk top and on my tool bar my options are not copmlete names for example: Secure Empty Trash reads " e Em r h"

Try setting up a new user account and logging in as that user. If all is well then your account settings are messed up. If nothing works there either, reinstall the OS. This problem isn't specific to the G4 though so you might want to re-ask this question in Discussions -> Mac OS X and Related Software.

If song title not identified muvo tx fm usele

I have my files id with cd title,artist and gnere but not track titles. Is it true muvo tx only identifies the song title in its window thus without song title i would not know what was playing and this player not a good choice?

The MuVo uses the title field from the tag, and failing this the filename. All Creative's MuVo range are organised by file and folder essentially.

Maximum number of songs for muvo tx

I thought it would be impossible, but i managed to fit probably close to 2 hours of music on my muvo tx fm 52 mb. However, My muvo tx fm will only play a certain number of songs... it just won't see the rest. (for example, i have 7 folders full of music. my muvo tx fm only sees 6 of them.. even then in the sixth folder the muvo tx fm will only play one song.) Because of this i rule out a maximum number of folders. Will the muvo tx fm only play a certain number of songs or only play so many hours of music? I am currently converting about 20 mb of my songs to wma, as all my songs save one are in the mp3 format, and i am seeing if having maybe half of my songs in another format would help. I'll also try upgrading the firmware to see if this may fix it. But if someone has an answer now, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I too am experiencing the same problem. I have a gig tx fm and the player will only recognize 50 folders. Anything beyond that is lost; however I can play the files thru WMP0 when the player is plugged in via usb. Furthermore, 3 or 4 of the 50 folders that are visible on the player just get skipped; the files contained in them won't play. These files aren't corrupt or anything, they too will play thru WMP0. I have tried the firmware update .3.03 which lists--[*]Displays recorded tracks accurately when the player contains more than 50 folders.</LI>
as one of the included fixes. This problem is really bugging me as I have maybe a handful of songs by a variety of different artists and would prefer to keep them in separate folders by artist. If, in fact, it is true that the MuVo will only support 50 folders my whole plan for music organization is out the window. Any ideas out there since last post?

Muvo V200, question about the play m

Hello,I have a question about the play mode on my V200. I want to play the songs in a specific order (like in a playlist) but I don't find the way to do this. Can you help me please ?

To get the tracks to play in a specific order, put numbers at the beginning of each file name. E.g.: file 'examplesong.mp3' would become '0_ examplesong.mp3' Don't spend years doing that manually though; the computer will do it for you! Click on 'my computer', then click on 'Muvo V200 media explorer'.. This shows the contents of your player. Choose the folder that you want to reorder the songs in...
( it's best to put the songs in folders, like you would in a floppy disk, as the muvo can only hold a certain amount in the root directory, and folders are great for organisation - eg: you can put one CD in each folder, and then the player will play all of the tracks in that folder before moving on to the next one )
...and click on it to display the songs. In the pictures along the top of the window, 4th from the right is an icon with a downward facing arrow and an A above a Z. Click on this, it's called 'custom sort'. You can then use the arrows at the bottom to change the order of your tracks to how you want them. Click OK, and they'll all be numbered (and so will play) in that order.

Hi for all.
I was looking that other users are noticed that MuVo TX only shows de Title of the ID3 not the Artirst - Title info. So I was searching on forum and see that are no answes about it and I am asking if Creative Tech Support could improve this correction on the new future firmware?

PS: to shows up Artist - Title I am editing the ID3 tag and putting into Title field the Artist name too but it is not convenient because are too many files to edit and just one new firmware can correct the id3 info display.

That's the way the MuVo works, it only shows the title tag. If the title tag isn't present it shows the filename.

MuVo V100 Limitati

Question:? Are there limitations on the number of folders under the "Music Folder". I ask this because I bought a total of 4 MuVo V00 for gifts for my wife, daughters, and niece. After transfering approximately 80 artists to the MuVo V00, only 25 will show up under "Skip Folder/Root/ of 25. I tried breaking up the 80 artists into 4 different folders, but?the MuVo V00?only recognizes the original Music folder. I even renamed the folders, including the default "Music" folder.
?Simply put: How can I fill the MuVo V00 to capacity with music and be able to play all of the music that is installed on the MuVo V00???As a side note to THE CREATIVE COMPANY:? Your menu system for the MuVo V00 sucks. What is the purpose of the "Music Icon" in the menu? It doesn't access any music?!? To find my music I have to go to "Skip Folder", "Root", "Music". So here is what I just tried: On my PC, when looking at the folders under "My computer/Dri've F:" I see the following folders: Library A, Library B, Library C, Music, LRC, Recorded Tracks. When I open the "Music" folder I see 4 folders I created: A-D, E-F, G-L, and M-T. Each of these folders contains 25 artist folders with their corresponding album sub-folders. When I disconnect the MuVo V00 from the computer and turn the MuVo V00 on, the player says "No Music".
If I move the 4 folders I created in the MuVo V00: A-D, E-F, G-L, and M-T so it now looks like this under "My computer/Dri've F:" : Library A, Library B, Library C, A-D, E-F, G-L, and M-T. When I disconnect the MuVo V00 from the computer and turn the MuVo V00 on, the player starts playing the first song from the M-T folder and only shows the M-T folder under the "Skip Folder", "Root Menu".

Troubles with Nomad M

I just got this for Christmas and am really bummed that I haven't been able to get it to work so far! I installed the software on the CD, popped it in... the driver seems fine. BUT -
When I try exploring the removable dri've or dragging and dropping files/songs into it, it says
"E:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I\O device error."
I've tried right-clicking on the dri've and selecting "Format" but nothing happens. I've tried doing it the way the manual says (go to Start, Programs, Creative, Nomad MuVo, Format... but under Nomad MuVo the only option I have is Uninstall, not format. I'm not even sure if formatting is the problem?
Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with my player. I tried pushing down the play button for 0-5 seconds while plugging it in. It just puts the player in recovery mode and the computer does not recognize that the player is there. I tried installing the firmware while it was in recovery mode but again the computer did not recognize the player being plugged in. I really dont want to have to buy a new player, there has to be some way to fix it. Please help, and thanks for the advice so far.

Your website really helped me with my new muvo^2. the message itself was supposed to be asking about a rumor that the muvo^2 only charged for 20 minutes and i was getting worried that something was wrong with my mp3 player. What's the Downside of Not Using Creatve MediaSource (Nuvo 200 1

Hi guys... I found that installing the Creative Media Source leaves a mess on my WinXP. I've left it on but haven't been using it with my 500 MB Creative Muvo 200. I just plop a folder of classical music or 2 and several folders of BBC type spoken word programs into my player and go.
Reason for asking: I just got a GB player so I can load a wee bit more music and spoken word stuff...more choice while I'm out there!
However for this player I did not try to have it recognized by Creative MediaSource and went right to updating the player's firmware.
Then I loaded it with my stuff.
The one thing that's different is that my PC recognizes this new player as Dri've "F" (my old one is recognized as "M"). No problem... I guess
Can I uninstall the Creative Media Source?
What's the downside of not using the 2nd of 2 downloads for MediaSourcebelow)? (Installed & in use apparently with my 500 mb player)

Installing "MuVo_PCAPP_LB__02_6.exeNOMAD MuVo Pack (version .02.6) for Creative MediaSource" is necessary if you want to see your MuVo as a source node in MediaSource. You will get features such as Smart Fit.
If you do not install it, your MuVo will only appear as a dri've letter under MediaSource's My Computer, and features such as Smart Fit is not available.

Weird Headphones For M

I had a Muvo TX FM and the headphones are weird. The left side is way shorter than the right side. I try to pull it to even if but it won't work. If i forcefully pull it,it will break. They glued it or something.Are the headphones like that to all Muvos or only mine?

Yes it's by design and as Mattan mention, the right earbud should get around at the back of the neck.
