Muvo (512/usb 2.00) - how to change a fold

hi all,
I spent some time looking into this forum, but I could not find an answer on following:
I have a new MuVo player - basic one, without display and so on. I uploaded two folders but I can not find a way how to change quickly to another folder. The only way is to skip all tracks in the folder and then it will start to play another folder.
It looks odd to me as 52 MB is capable to hold lot of folders and skipping all songs between first and last folder is somehow.. unfriendly.
Player was shipped with the latest firmware - .2.03 which is nice, but useless in this situation:
Added Features or Enhancements
* Supports up to three subfolder levels in the root directory.
* Supports up to 500 playable tracks and 60 folders containing playable tracks.

I've got the same problem! Anyone know a way around this? If this isn't possible, it would be nice to see a firmware upgrade that allowed you to hold the "play" button down, and press the forward/backward button at the same time. My unit is the Muvo Mix 52.

One way to address this is to use the Virtual Web Host feature.
I've uploaded a simple application note to help guide you through the steps.
An alternative would be to create an html at /Web/ which forwards to /Web/Joomla. Not a great solution, I know.
I'm sure there is a way to change the setting in a linux configuration file, but I don't know which file that is in. Maybe some other linux savy community members could help out with that?

When I plug in my e6 into USB slot in my car and choose Mass Storage in E6 USB settings, my phone connect using phone memory...
I place music on memory card (micro SD) and don't know how to change the memory in use via mass storage USB connect.
On the other way, when I plug in E6 into LCD-TV, after hundred of reconnect, it plug in as Mass Storage SD card... And still don't know how it works :X

Yes as Tom stated this post belongs in the FCP forum.
This can be configured in the System Settings.
Go to Final Cut Pro > System Settings... and click the memory tab, you can configure your RAM settings there.

I have a situation, I have created the workbook in existing folder (ORDER) in TEST business Area, now I have to move this report to another Business area (Custom) which has folder (Custom Order Folder), how can I change workbook folder name and item name, because my custom folder has different name.

Hi,
If you are able to export and delete the original folder, then you can rename the identifiers of the new folder to be the same as the original folderand then open the workbook so that it uses the new folder. If you save the workbook, then rename the identifiers and re-import the orignial folder then you should find that the workbook continues to use the new folder.

How to change a folder layout set using KM api?

Hello,
I'm developing a program using KM api that creates different folders with properties, permissions, ... I want to use a different layout set depending on the folder that i am browsing, but these folders are created dinamically, so I cant set a different layouts set for each one manually (Details > Display > ...).
Does anybody know how I could do it using KM api? I mean, that every time I create a folder using KM api I should assaing dinamically the default layout set for this folder. I searched in the api and examples and I didn't find anything.

Problem solved... I decompiled standard code and I did what SAP do when they want to change a folder layout set:

       As u have created reports and saved it in BEx portfolio or My portfolio it will be saved in the KM folder which is known as Knowledge management folder for the KM services such as feedback,rating etc.So u cant view them when u open in web analyzer.U can only see them when u save in favourites or the roles folders.

Hi Dharani,
You can change the folder name using "Rename" option from the context menu of the folder. You can also change the name by selecting Folder -> Details->Actions->Rename.

USB disk share - How to change the way disk is protected?

Hallo,
I have connected an USB drive to AE and I have previously formatted it using Mac OS extended journaled.
To have it protected on the network I have enabled document share and I have selected "using password for the disk".
Now I would like to change such option to "using account" but when I try to do that, Airport Utility warns me about the fact that I will lost access to documents on the disk. And this stops me because I have time machine backup on it and some other files.
Is there any way to swith to other protections without lost access to documents stored on it?
Or can I do something different to change permissions?

I didn't have time to work on my software because I had to do experiments in the lab...but I have one question: if you look a the screen shot of the main vi, I want to interact with the event structure. Should I configure a new queue in the configcircubuff in order to obtain my binary data? If yes how can I add a new name in the "unbundle by name" ?

I have a USB HP Personal Media Drive I had used it with Windows XP but now want to use it with my MAC.
I have tryed to right click on with finder and went to Get Info but it does not show me the lock or allow me to unlock it.
Can someone help me with this problem?

I'm not familiar with the HP Personal Media Drive, but if it is a portable hard drive or flash memory drive, and it was previously used with Windows XP, it is probably formatted as NTFS. Mac OS X can read NTFS volumes, but it will not write on them (which includes erasing or renming files or folders).
If the drive contains NOTHING that you care about and you plan to use it ONLY with your Mac in the future, you can use Disk Utility to reformat it as a Mac drive.
If you will want to use this drive on both Mac(s) and Windows computers in the future, you can use third-party software such as Paragon NTFS for Mac on the Mac(s) to allow them to write NTFS.
There are other solutions for other usage patterns. How do you plan to use it?

Just to place the name under the image you can write in the displayed properties of the collection renderer something like that:

However, to create a true thumbnails display you should advance copy ConsumerThumbnailExplorer and play with it a little to achieve your gole.
for example:
In the copy of ConsumerThumbnailAlignRenderer you can change Row Spacing and Column spacing. Also you can set Folders Selection and Links Selection to all, and in the copy of ConsumerThumbnailTaxonomyRenderer change Folders Selection and Links Selection and Files Selection to off that way you get a simple breadcrumb on top and a thumbnails display on the bottom that displays files folders and links all together.

How to change the folder name of saved pictures

A problem I was facing with iPhoto 11.
In the older version of iPhoto everytime I imported photoes from my camera it used to save it in the iPhoto Library under the same exact name as the Event Name. Meaning, if I chose the event name to be "2013 - My Birthday Party" and hit import for the pictures I wanted it to import, the same exact even name I could search for under the iPhoto Library. There under "Orginial" folder I could easily look for "2013 - My Birthday Party" a folder name same as the event name.
Now in teh new version of iPhoto (iPhoto 11) first I've noticed that the folder "Original" now became "Masters" which is fine by me (who cares what teh name is, as long as it stores the pictures and can backup this folder with Time Machine). However, the second thing I realized and this is my problem, is that iPhoto stores all my imported photoes under folder and subfolders which indicates the date I imported the pictures from my camera and not the name of the event.
This is quite annoying, as all my photoes since 2008 are categorized by the event name I gave them and not by the month/day/date etc. as it is now.
My question is whether there is a way to enforce iPhoto to keep the old methodology of storing its photo while keeping the event name under the "Masters" folder?
And please do NOT ask me why I need to go directly to the Finder folder... it doesn't resolve my issue.

You need the latest version of iPhoto for that export option - and you can't run that on 10.6.
Apps like iPhoto2Disk or PhotoShare will help you export to a Folder tree matching your Events.
Exporting does not remove images from the Library, it simply make a new file.
