MuVo flash is

Hello all,
I flashed my birthday present 28M MuVo TX FM with the latest firmware update (MuVoTXFM_PCFW_LB__3_03.exe), and I can load music files and listen, but I have lost all menu functions. I can't get the radio tuner, voice etc. etc.
Deleting any music, and then trying the scroller gives me no options at all either.
Has anybody come across this and knows of a fix?
von_Stalhein

That's weird. I would say to reflash the firmware again. Remember to use the 'Format Data Area' option. This will format the whole player so make sure you backup all the files in the player first.

  • M3u on muvo (flash) play

i'm thinking of buying a creative mp3 player.
probably from their muvo line. most likely the tx fm.
i want a flash player with fm and the other features. but i'd really like to get one that supports m3u playlists.
does anyone know if any of the muvo/flash players support m3u playlists?
i read that the micro n200 does not. plus the issue with buzz while the backlight is on seems kinda lame.
    any response would be appreciated

  • Nomad iic - No specific driver on site anymo

Under Portable Audio, Digital MP3 Players, I don't see the Nomad iic anymore. This may be causing my problem which is I get a blue/aqua scree over the list of songs in my Nomad iic. So If I choose a C dri've or something, I see the list. But when I pick my Nomad memory, I get the light blue/aqua background hiding my list.
I installed the Nomad II 32 mb driver and Microsoft 2000 said it found a better driver and insists on installing an USB Oem driver. Maybe I have the wrong driver, but I do not see one for the iiC, specifically.
Any idea what the hell is going on?

The driver for Nomad IIc is still available for download at our driver download website.

  • Muvo slim just flash

Muvo slim is recognized as a dri've with all files visible, but won't play properly. Blue light and Creative logo flashing and battery reading full. Stays on when disconnected from charging USB and won't go off. Is this a firmware issue or hardware problem - before everything is erased! Have tried disconnecting and reconnecting battery.
Thanks for any help, I cannot see a similar issue here, it is just one month old.

try going into the rescue mode
here's the link on how to do it

do a firmware upgrade or a disk scan (if there is an option)

  • Muvo NX Flash Drive Bent...how do you fix

So my Muvo NX is plugged into the USB port and
my little sisters friend runs by, falls, and bends the
metal insertion for the USB port way off to the side.
It wont read on my computer, does anyone know how
    I can fix this?

As the player is physically damaged you are looking at having it repaired by Creative, or buying a new player.

  • Which 256 flash player would you buy-Muvo tx fm or muvo sl

Except for their appearance these players seem so similar. I already own a zen xtra but want a light flash player for outside activities to carry with me.some user opinions would be greatly appreciated thanks matt

Jk why would you go with a triple a battery player? Is it because you can just take battery out when not using it. I was having second thoughts about the slim battery and wondered if it had same peculiarity as my zen xtra battery that i need to keep charged or it might nor recharge after a period of idle time. I only need a 256 since taking a few cds of music with me is all that i need this flash player for. I might not use it every day. Im thinking of permanently putting my zen xtra in a play dock that I heard this weekend and loved the sound from it.My flash player would be just for on the go activities and i would change the contents as needed..

  • Creative Nomad Muvo stopped working - I think I tried everything... any ide

    Hello,
I received a Creative Labs MuVo 28MB MP3 player as a gift in May of last year. I used it once or twice and it worked fine, then put it aside. I picked it up again the other day, formatted it clean using the formatting software (old drivers) and started using it again. It worked fine until at one point it froze. I could not turn it off with the power button so I pulled the memory stick out of the battery pack. The MP3 player would not turn on again after that. I took it to my computer at work (different computer) to fix the dri've and was able to get the data off first, by installing it as a flash dri've, but after I transferred the data I installed the drivers and attempted to format the flash dri've. After this the dri've would not respond. I can plug in the dri've, either in standard or recovery mode and the computer will find it, but I cannot access the dri've through any means. I don't think the dri've itself is broken, I think that there is something corrupted on it that needs to be cleaned out. Unfortunately I have found no way to reset the dri've.
I have tried each of the methods outlined below on (3) different computers, both with USB . and 2.0 slots. I have tried:-The original drivers, the newest drivers, and the creative removable mass storage drivers-Formatting under windows with the newest drivers (dri've does not respond at all)-Formatting using the old drivers and the formatting utility (the program opens under the media recovery tab and the only thing not greyed out is "cancel")-Repartitioning the dri've under Control Panel/Administrati've Tools/Computer Management (the dri've does not show up, even though it appears up in My Computer)-Formatting the dri've using the Killdisk utility (it finds the dri've but says dri've not ready)-Installing the original firmware (this is interesting - I can plug the dri've in, holding down the play button, and nothing happens. When I run the firmware utility the computer finds the dri've, installs it as a player recovery device, but then the firmware utility tells me that the dri've is not in player recovery mode and to try again. If I try again it gives me the same message.)-Installing the updated firmware (It begins scanning, suddenly windows installs the dri've as a mass storage device [with Creative Muvo as a component] but after 3 minutes of scanning the utility says that there are no USB devices connected.)-Using a 3rd party flash dri've software tool (it finds the dri've, but when I go to format it it says that the dri've contains no media).
I am not sure what to do at this point, but I still believe this thing can be salvaged, if only there was a way to access it. Please tell me any tricks you know.
    thank you,-Aaron

I am having the EXACT same problem as you are!? It is SOOO frustrating!? I wish I could help you, but I wanted you to know that you're not the only one with the same problem.

  • FM Radio stopped working on my Muvo N

This is so strange, I went to use my FM radio today on my Muvo N200 and when I selected it from the menu, the mp3 player automatically turns off! Any ideas why this might happen? Everything else is working fine, but I can't get to the radio at all...

  • A Problem With Muvo V200 !!

Hi everybody, I've bought a Muvo V200 GB, and it works well , less one thing:
When the blue light is activated I feel a very "high-pitched" sound, and it's very unpleasant.
Can somebody tell me if there is a firmware that fix that problem ?
I've tried to format the usb flash but I still have this problem. And I've also seen some posts in other forums that complain about that.

No, the problem is with the V200 hardware itself, not the headphones. But using a higher impedance phone results in this high frequency noise being greatly attenuated. Being a hardware issue, there is no possible firmware fix for this. The only option is to go to a higher impedance phone (the Koss KSC-75 sounds great and is available for $5 from amazon.com) or li've with the problem. You can of course set the player to have the backlight always off - this will also eliminate the problem except at startup but will make adjustments more difficult in the dark.

  • MuVo² Buttons Problem - Completely Block

Hello all,i have a major problem...and i wish to know if i can solve it without going to any service centre. Here's the problem:
Some days ago, my player went batt empty,so I charged it,and when I pushed play button to start it, it all went ok, it loaded music and appeared the normal screen (the song title, song timer, etc)...but when I went to push play to begin listening...nothing happened. I pushed Menu and it was also blocked. I tried to shut down the muvo...but play button didnt response.
I've tried a firmware update with 2 versions, i've formatted and also i've entered recovery mode but there also buttons do not response...
If there's something i could do myself and someone knows...please post it. If not im afraid ill have to send to repair...
    Thanks a lot.p3los

That's what i thought but when it's on normal screen or PC-Connected screen, and i push play or menu ,blue light flashes for 2 secs. It's only first time...if i push them again, nothing happens.
    I mean, buttons do something...

  • MuVo TX Sudden loss in sound quality -irrecoverab

My MuVo Tx simply stopped working as usual. I was listening to it, put it away on the shelf i keep it decided to go out for a walk later on picked it up turned it on and nowit sounds as though it's only playing higher pitched notes and background vocals - almost like a recording error - for example like i was recording one channel on a 2 channel program, so only hearing half the original.
Yet using the same program Creative Media Source and even Windows Media Player 0 and on different computers incase it was my USB ports acting up.
Change of batteries doesn't resolve anything, a format via Windows in the FAT format resolves nothing. I even flashed the players bios to see if i could just everything.
    No dice.
Has anyone else had this problem at all? I guess my last resort is to RMA it (if i can find my purchase receipt - why o why do i not keep better track of them).
I'm at a total loss to explain it. Oh btw the headphones work fine on my cd walkman, tape walkman and other headphones give me the same result. No physical damge noticeable, i can't recall even ever knocking it about other than to slide it in and out of a USB slot.
    Any ideas appreciated.
    Thanks

Problem fixed... I downloaded iTunes and reinstalled it... Alls well again

  • Muvo TX/File Error Sys

    Hey people,
I have a problem with my Muvo TX USB 2.0 :
when i try to switch on my mp3, "File Error System" appears on the screen and the player switches off on its own.
When I plug it in my laptop, i'm unable to access the hard dri've but I can see the player's supposed not to have any free space (O octets) !! But I have no file into it...
    I can't do a single thing with it !
    Please help !
I'd really like to solve this problem !

    Trifina wrote:
I tried that already and got an error message telling to put the device in recovery mode (which i can't while I can't access the harddri've...)
Thank you anyway for your help...
You get into Recovery Mode by connecting the player to your PC while pressing and holding the Play button - it's not like the Hard Dri've players where you start the player in a certain way to access Rescue Mode on the player. The TX doesn't have a hard dri've only flash memory.
You need to install the drivers onto your PC first as they contain the Recovery Mode drivers.

  • [MuVo Slim] Charging from USB p

    Hi
Over on the Nomadness MuVo forum someone asked about how to charge a MuVo Slim when away from their PC as it charges via the USB port.
I answered that if all they needed was a powered USB hub then they could buy an external, self-powered hub and then connect the player to it, without it being connected to a PC.
Would this work or does the player need to be connected to the PC for the charging cycle to begin? Or does it just need the power that the port supplies?
    PB

Yes, I also tried this with a CyberPower 420 MP USB hub that is battery powered with an on/off switch http://www.cyberpowersystems.com/CPH420MP.asp But even with that hub turned on, it would not charge the Slim unless I connected the hub to a PC.
I use the Zen Micro charger to charge my Slim when I'm not near a PC. I had read an SSR post on this board where he recalled that someone had said that combo (Slim and Micro charger) would work. The Zen Micro charger provides 000mA, which is high for a flash MP3 device (higher is good) from 5V. So I tried it and it has worked fine. (I had a Zen Micro as well as the Slim, so it cost me nothing extra.)
