MuVo N200 1gb turns off....

I recently bought a Muvo N200 gb and when I try changing folder it turns off.....
When I want do skip folder, i click on the scroll, i select from the menu " Skip Folder" and then I confirm the folder clicking on the scroll again, and then it turns off!!!!
I have already tried to format, but the problem is still there...
excuse for my not perfect english, i'm italian!

Oh, i have the same problem, my MuVo turns off. Now I'm really happy to hear that i can solve it! But there is another problem. A week ago I've had already brought it back to the store, in order it would be checked. And i'm still waitining for an answer what is really happened to my muvo. What should i do now? They (technical support) will be looking for the problem inside of my player, when i could solve this problem simply with the installing of ware. Help me! Schould i call them? Or the repair service should know about this ware and installs it without me?

Hello, I love that player but that thing it's getting me crazy, it's not working, and I don't know why. I set 2 minuts or 30 - it doesn't matter, it's still playing. Any ideas? Thanks a lot, blunt from Poland.

    Hi Blunt,
Are you trying to get the MuVo T200 to turn off on it's own?
Please take note that the Idle Shutdown will only come into effect when the player is not doing anything.

  • My Muvo TX SE turns off it

hello, i'm italian and i can't speak english well.
I bought in June a Muvo TX SE 52MB, and now it turns off itself, every times i turn on it... Sometimes it turns off itsefl immediately after the ignition, sometimes after or 2 songs... I tried to use a lot of different batteries but the situation doesn't change.
    can you help me?
sorry for my bad enghlish. if is possible answer me in italian. thanks very much

Go to the download page for your player, download the firmware, and read the instructions at the page.
For the TX I believe it's pretty simple. Just download the file, connect the PC, and run it. Double check at the page though.

  • Zen Nano Plus 1gb turns off .

    Hi
I've had my player since September 2005 and have NEVER had any trouble out of it until 2 days ago. The problem...When I am listening to a track and use the wheel to back it up and listen to it again or the track before it, the player shuts off. I've been reading the posts here and realize I probably need some new firmware but which one do I need. Also my daughter has a 52 mb player that started doing the same thing.
    thanks in advance
    August22

    August22,
The new firmware for the Zen Nano Plus is available on the Downloads page, it was released on the 25th of August. It includes this fix:
Resolves the issue of your player (battery level full) turning off, while playing a 28 kbps DRM-protected WMA file. </LI>
Please note that (as it states in the details fiel) this firmware does remove your player's FM recording feature.

  • Muvo N200, 1GB installation prob

I made the mistake of connecting the Muvo to my computer before
installing the software. Not a good idea. Even after installing
the software the device manager keeps on indentifying the Muvo
as an "Unknown device". I then tried installing it on my wife's
computer in the proper order and the Muvo was recognized properly.
But I want to install it on my computer. Unfortunately all my
system restore points were overwritten by my many install attempts,
so now I am sunk. I've got to figure out how to fix the damage
manually. Even removing the device using the device manager,
uninstalling the software, reinstalling in the proper order,
and finally connecting the MP3 player doesn't work. When I plug
in the MP3 player itstill recognizes it only as an unknwown
    device.

It did work on other computers, so as you pointed out, it was
clear the problem was not with the Muvo N200. I tried updating
the BIOS and all the MotherBoard related drivers. Then I removed
all USB stuff via the Device Manager and let XP put it all back.
... Plugged the muvo back in ...
Drat. It just says "Unknown Device" and does not show another
    disk dri've.
    > and you could try creating another user account ...
    Tried that too. Same problem
    > Try using other available USB port ...
The four main USB ports on the MBD back panel were all
in use so I had been using one of the four USB ports on
a PCI add-in card I installed to give me more ports.
I tried switching to the USB ports on the front of the
computer (which are cabled to an aux USB connector on
the motherboard). Same deal - unknown device. (This is
    getting old).
Finally I tried unplugging my digital camera base unit
from on the the four main USB ports on the MBD back panel
and I plugged my Muvo N200 into that. Instant Recognition!!!
A new disk dri've appears, and it even knows that it is a
Create Muvo. So then I plugged my digital camera base unit
into the USB add-in card and it works just fine too. (It
also shows up as a disk dri've).
So now all is well except for my fragile understanding.
Here I thought all USB ports were created equal (well except
for the ver verses ver 2 thing). But clearly on my computer
they are not. Perhaps there is someting wrong with my MBD
or its setup that causes this.
Anyway, thanks for all your suggestions, especially since
I don't think I would have figured it out on my own.

  • Muvo n200 1gb probl

I have a new, less than two week old, Muvo 200n gb player that just started giving me problems today.
I was running with it this morning and it just died halfway through my run. I assumed that the battery had run out so I put a new one in when I got home. That wasn't the problem as it powers up and then shuts down after about 3 seconds.
So far I have tried reformatting it- which didn't work.
I put one folder's worth of music back on and it still shuts down as soon as it powers up. The funny thing is that if I hook it up to my computer I can access those music files and play them back. If try to play the music through my player it just goes right to it's auto shut-down mode and doesn't even give me the chance to access any other parts of the player- like the radio.
    Any suggestions?
    Jon

I am having the same problem with my player. It started the second day I had it. I seem to be able to get it working by reinstalling the firmware each time. When it stops working it will turn on temporarily and then shut down. I can access it as a removable dri've but it will not run under it's own power. After I reinstall the firmware it runs for a few hours and then the problem starts all over again. This is a serious problem for me as I intend to use this on a three week vacation traveling without a computer to reinstall the firmware each day. I had hoped there would be a solution on Creative's website but all I've seen mentioned about this problem is in these forums with no reply from Creative. Come on Creative..what's the deal?

  • MuVo N200 1GB - he

Hi?Before I send it back I just wanted to check if I've managed to break my MuVo! OK, I have only ever recorded tracks directly from my CDs to my MP3 using the line in. All's been fine until today when I've been listening to my MP3 pretty much constantly all day. Battery?got v.low and it started to whine and make 'tinking' noises in the background. Changed batteries and all seemed fine - but then it started again and won't stop! Display also keeps flicking from one time to another when playing a track and, when I switch it off the display fragments. However, radio is working fine except, again, when I switch it off the display fragments. Has some kind of unrepairable fault occured? Is it possible to 'overheat' these things and it just needs a bit of a rest... !

I'd like to do that, but the only thing I'm capable of finding is a download in .exe format, and that won't work with the OSX on my Mac.
Perhaps I should go bother a friend with a pc to get him to download the fw-update. It disappoints me, though, that the support for the Macintosh platform is so poor.
Anyone who knows if a player will work if formatted in, say, 'Mac OS Journaled'?

  • Creative muvo micron n200 turn off automatica

hi everybody, i m Thomas. i facing a problem wif my mp3 player, that is my n200 will turn off automatically. please help me on solving this problem. thanx everybody.
    from,
    thoams cheah

Backup your data/music to your computer, reflash the player's firmware and also let the updater format the data area. Required software (mass storage drivers and firmware updater) and instructions (for recovery mode) are available on Creative's support website.

  • Muvo n200 HEL

my n200 wont turn on anymore i updated the firmware because i kept getting the error when i turned it on. but now it wont turn on anymore and when i plug it in my computer doesnt even recognise it. i've looked at other threads with the same problem and i've done everything that it says to do but still doesnt work.

I was having the same problem as C-rad after following instructions from a customer support email to update the firmware. I apparently had missed the part in the instructions to "Make sure that format data Area is selected".
Next my MuVo N200 wouldnt turn on. I finally got it to go in Recovery Mode.... Something happened like the computer restarted or shut down or something...and now my computer wont even recognize the player in recovery mode. I deleted the original creative thigns and reinstalled it....and it still doesnt recognize anything.
When I go to Device Manager and Hidden Devices when it is plugged in, I cant find anything that I would think is the player?
What do I do next? I would really appreciate any help I could get.

  • Help, creative muvo N200 turns off automatica

    hi users,
i've just bought the n200 last 2 days. the first problem is given. the player turns off himself, i change the best batteries (4 times), no function. i can't use it more than 5 minutes.
    please help me.

As SSR mentions, you could try the firmware update first to see if that improves things (the update on the site is the N200 Audible Firmware Upgrade .2.0). If that doesn't help, it would be best to speak to Customer Support directly:

  • I can't turn the volume up, change songs or turn off my Muvo N

I have a Muvo N200 and once I turn it on it won't do anything. The display screen just says creative,? I can't turn up the volume, change a song or even turn it off. I have to take the battery out to turn it off. I have tried deleting the songs on there and putting them back on and updating firmware and even did a recovery. Can someone help me with this?thank you

Try going into Recovery Mode and loading an earlier version of firmware - see the link below. If this doesn't work then the player could be beyond repair. PB

  • My MuVo turns off like 1 seg after turned on

Can someone tell me what to do? My MuVo N200 turns off seg after I turn it on, I can't use it. I connected it but everything appears to be normal.

I'm having the same problem. Only had the MuVo about a week -- has been working flawlessly -- but today (even though I've changed the batteries three or four times) -- I'm having severe trouble getting the device to start and *stay on* --- it tries to start -- I get the Creative name and then then MuVo N200 screen -- but then the unit abruptly shuts off. It acts like a low battery but I've installed three new Duracell Copptertop batteries -- same result .... so unless all three batteries were faulty (which is possible, I suppose) -- figure it must be the MuVo. I may try reformating and upgrading the software --- but this soon after getting the device -- I'd hate to think that was necessary. Wouldn't bode well ... as they say.

  • Muvo 256mb turns itself off and can't turn off 'shuff

My muvo 256mb player turned itself off.yes i checked the battery and that i wasn't accidently doing it myself. sometimes it might run for a forthight with no problem at all. other times it would get half way through a song and just 'blink'...turn off. also the shuffle could never be turned off. is this a common problem or did i just buy a 'duffer'? I'm reluctant to buy another mp3 player in case this happens again. I've since smashed it with a hammer in a frustrated temper as i listened on my bike and had to keep stopping

No point in giving you any help in fixing it then! I bet it felt good, though. Well, just for a second......
A firmware reload probably would have helped, though that's a bit late now. :smileysurprised:

  • Muvo V200 turns off when trying to enter the FM Radio opt

My Muvo V200 (52MB) stopped working. I was not able to turn it on: after pressing the power button the CREATIVE text was displayed and that was all. To solve this problem I've reinstalled the firmware (.2.03e version). The player is ali've now, but the FM Radio stopped working. When I try to use the FM Radio option, the player just turns off.
How can I solve this problem? Is there any way to install an older firmware vesrion?

Yes, I did - with no result.
But your advices lead me to one more solution, of which I hadn't thought before. I've tried to install the latest firmware (.2.03) in the recovery mode. And guess what? My V200 is fully functional again.
I'm not quite sure if it was the recovery mode or the slightly different file version which made the trick. This time I've used the MuVoV200_PCFW_LF__2_03.exe file (without the "e" suffix). But I'm almost sure I've also tried it in the normal mode before, which lead me to the broken radio function as in case of the MuVoV200_PCFW_LF__2_03e.exe file.
What are the differences between MuVoV200_PCFW_LF__2_03 and MuVoV200_PCFW_LF__2_03e? After extracting these files I can see that their contents differ.
