MuVo N200 problem with playba

I have an older MuVo N200. I have transferred some of my class notes to it and it had done just fine so I transferred some musice to it as well. It played back very well for about 2 days and now it is just a high pitch squelling:angry:. I have lost some of the songs that my daughter has sung because it has garbled and destroyed them ? Any way I would just like to know what is going on. I have deleted the music and?transferred it again and it works just like it is supposed to and the play back will be fine the first time around then... sounds that remind me of really, really bad radio station static. Any ideas? Help is appreciated.

I suggest reloading the firmware. This will also reformat the player, so everything stored on the player will be lost. Make sure you have copies on your pc first. Search the forum for detailed instructions about how to reload the firmware.

  • Muvo N200 -problems with so

    I have tried switching headphones, reformatting, burning files directly form disk onto it, but I keep hearing a very fuzzy and distorted sound quality. I can hear noise and a bit of the music but there is a loud buzzing sound which ruins the quality. Any suggestions?

    Backlight buzz, or something other?
    If its not the backlight buzz (dont thinks so), try reflashing the firmware, and try reformatting. What files if it happening with? (.mp3 , .wma ?)

    I have just purchased a N200 this last month, and today i noticed that some of the songs a periodically stopping. The player has been fine up until now. I initially thought it might be the battery so i changed it, but the problem still persists. Can anyone offer any advice.

    Creative is selling millions of MP3 players. If you visit a city with millions of people, you will see many sick people in their largest hospital. A firmware upgrade is a simple matter. When I first got my n200 a number of months ago there were some noises on playback. Loading the .2 firmware solved those completely. Recently I loaded the .5 firmware. I wasn't having a problem with the player recently, but just wanted the latest firmware. Think of a firmware update as being like an update for Windows.
    Since you are thinking about getting an ipod Nano, I suggest that you follow Apple's support forums and see all the problems that people start having with their ipod Nanos. Keep in mind that there are aren't so many ipod Nanos out already, so it will take some time for large numbers of support postings for the ipod Nano to appear. MP3 players are complex devices. Think of them as being like computers. Keep in mind all the computer glitches people have even when doing simple things on their pc. Don't expect an MP3 player to be like a tape player or portable radio in term of operating simplicity.

  • MuVo N200 Problem - High Rattling Ec

    Hello,
    I recently started experiencing a playback problem with my MuVo, in which the songs have a high, rattling echo to them. At first i thought it was the headphones, but it's the player. I've tried erasing the dri've (I'm running Mac OSX), cleaning, etc. It still persists. I'm away for the summer and am unable to get the original receipt, so I can't take it in for repairs. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Lenovo 3000 n200 problem with usb tv-stick

    hi guys,
    i have a problem with my lenovo 3000 and the hvr-900 usb tv-stick from hauppauge. driver installation and software installation from wintv is no problem. finding the channels ist also no problem. sound is good but i have no pictures... the display ist black.
    my grafik chip is the intel GMA X3100 onboard. i thought it was a problem with the overlay function. the wintv software shows me "surface vmr" on my old desktop with the old wintv pci card it shows me "surface overlay".
    internet tv (tvu, tv ants...) works without any difficulties. but i can`t find a function to activate "overlay".
    has anyone an idea? thanks for helping.

    i try an older usb machine from hauppauge which supports analog only (the new stick supports analog/digital) and... it works... the wintv software shows me "surface overlay"... crazy...
    now i use this until i find a solution for the stick ;-)

    I've been spending the last hour or so trying to put new songs onto my MuVo N200 (GB), and after a while this error message started showing up when I tried to put a new song on.

    Sorry, thought I had gone through all of them. I'll try doing a more thourough search next time.
    I did find the answer to why I couldn't load any more music onto my player, and it was the same reason I couldn't record anything.

  • Muvo NX problem with Bluetooth don

    Hi all,
    I recently bought a Logitech MX5000 bluetooth keyboard and mouse and I found out that the computer doesn't recognise my Muvu NX while Logitech bluetooth dongle is attached to the computer. Whenever I remove the dongle from the USB port the Muvo NX works correctly. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

    could be that installing the logitech thingie messed up the muvos settings, download this driver and reinstall it.

  • Muvo N200 FM Radio - no stereo so

    I have a Muvo N200 52GB with latest firmware (.2.0).
    The only problem I have with it is that the FM Radio sound output is mono even if the display indicates stereo reception.
    I can achieve stereo sound if I pull out the headphone jack a little way but the connection is not secure if I do this and I don't have to do this to listen to WMA/MP3 music.
    This could be down to firmware but I have only seen one other post with this problem.
    I will try to reflash just in case but would appreciate any other suggestions.
    In my opinion, even if FM reception is mono, sound output should still be directed to both right and left channels and not just one (left channel in my case).

    Obviously the player is faulty as even if it's in mono you will get output from both channel. You can try reinstalling the firmware on the player and see if that helps just in case. If not, you should return to creative and get it repair.

  • Muvo n200 microphone and echo probl

    hi, can anyone help me to slove my muvo n200 problem? My mp3 player is in .0.2 version, I bought it for 5 months till now, the microphone recording function suddenly don't work and whenever I press it it shut down the whole system.
    The second problem is just started the day before yesterday. The sound (not because of the headphone) was not right. It sound metalic and have heavy metal econ.   • MuVo N200 wont play please help !

    Two days ago my player was working just fine, but as of yester day it wasn't.
    as i turn it on, the creative screen comes on then it seems to freeze on the MuVo N200 screen with no Music at all !
    I have taken out the battery more times than i care to count but it still wont work. I haven't droped it or damaged it in any kind if way so why wont it work.

    The first thing to try with a misbehaving MuVo is to update the firmware. Get the latest version from Nomadworld.com downloads and make sure to follow the instructions exactly that are accessed from <EM>show details </EM>at the download page.

    i got my MuVo N200 mp3 player for chirtmas of last year, and it stopped working in 3 months. it used to shut off every few minutes and the mic doesnt work any more and i cant record music from the radio. right now it doesnt even work for a minute, it shuts off as soon as i try and turn it on. i emailed creative when it first started happening and they sent me a email saying what to do on there website, something about downloading something. i tryed it and it didnt work, im not sure if i didnt do it right. And right now i have no idea what to do. and creative won't help me unless i pay them money to fix it for me which im not about to do. has anyone have the same problem with the MuVo N200 mp3 player? what am i suppose to do to fix it's I still have there email telling me what to do, but i just dont get how to do it and if it will work. It only worked for me 3 months, and now im mad and thinking about buying a new one thats not from creative but i really want to try fixing it again to see if it will work. please help me.

    Good question, unfortunately I have absolutely no idea. Reflashing/-formatting generally takes care of the usual cases of wonkyness this player develops, and there isn't anything more drastic you as a user could do.
    Do you have a directory named "Recorded Tracks" on your player? Should be created automatically, but if it isn't you could try creating it manually...

  • Music Balance Problem -MuVo N200 Micro

    I've had my MuVo N200 Micro (GB) for about a year now and its been fine all this time. But recently is had a problem where certain tracks will only play in the right earphone. I've change earphones, unloaded and reloaded all my music and its still the same. Some tracks are OK, but most of them play on right phone at reduced sound level. I don't think anything is physically wrong with it. Can anyone help me out here?

    To put the player in recovery mode, you first need to have the driver installed on your pc. Use the link I gave to download the driver. Next you need to remove the battery from the player, and hold down the start button while connecting the player to the pc. Don't let go of the start button until the player is recognized by the pc.

    This is an update on the problem that I described below:
    Windows Media Player
    One problem I had was that Windows Media Player would not recognize my muvo players. It turned out that because I was using a USB hub for the players to connect WMP was not recognizing the players. When I used a direct line to the USB port on the computer, WMP has no problem recognizing the player.
    Digital License.
    As a test, I bought a WMA song file from WalMart to see if its Digital Rights Management was compatible with Muvo. There was no problem with the correct elapsed time showing. I will also test a file from Napster and add its license details here.
    Here is something else I noticed - the differences in
    the license for the two types of WMA files:
    The one from WalMart - which works fine with the
    elapsed time on the MuVo:
    This file can be played an unlimited number of times
    Collaborati've play for this file is not allowed

    I have been able to copy WMA with DRM audiobook files to my TX FM, but the elapsed time doesn't change with either play or fast forward. The file is from Netlibrary.com which supplies audiobooks to public libraries. The file plays, but the display stays all zeroes.
    I have been sending information and getting replies and suggestions from both Netlibrary support and Creative technical support with no solution. I have the latest firmware and everything else. I have the problem on both Windows XP and Windows 2000 computers. I have downloaded several files, but none of them show elapsed time. I suspect it is something to do with the DRM, because I can play a preview file from Netlibrary - without DRM - with no problem.     I'm primarily using my TX FM for netlibrary.com audiobooks and also get all zeros on the display.
    I've been steadily complaining to netlibrary and my local library about problems/inconveniences, itcertainly is experiencing growing pains; we're the ones getting the pain, though!
    I'll post here if I find a (legal) resolution to this.
    What firmware version do you have? I have .2.04 and I see that .3.03 is available for download. I've read here that there are problems with .3 with volume limiting and I'm hesitant to change. I do notice that one of the listed fixes is:
    Updates the elapsed time displayed during navigation within a long recorded track
    so, maybe this is the answer?

    i bought month ago a muvo slim 52mb.
    in the start everything was alright but now i have 2 problems:
    ) i cant open the mp3, when i am pushing the on/off, the muvo doesnt opend. but if it is already on i can switch it off, and when i connect the machine to my pc/leptop and disconnect it, it will be opended. may-be it's problem with my battry?
