Muvo sport 100 and iPod - common file form

Now that santa has brought both, is there a best suggestion for ripping CDs in one format that will accomodate both players? Is MP3 the obvious choice and does that provide reasonable quality? Or I guess the only other common format is WMA?

iPods won't play WMA. MP3 is the common format.
For quality I would suggest LAME encoded MP3s, at a minimum bit-rate of 92 kbit/s.

DDTS-100 and Divx/Xvid files

Does the DDTS-100 have problems with DivX/Xvid files that are encoded with AC3?
Power DVD will pick up a true DD signal for a DVD, but if i convert to avi (divx) with the ac3 sound, it only uses Pro Logic II/Neo6. There isn't even the option in Power DVD to use spdif when playing an ac3 divx file.
Who here has the DDTS-100 and can play AC3 divx files fine with TRUE DOLBY DIGITAL?

Well this went down like a lead balloon.
If anyone else finds this, a solution is to convert the divx file to dvd vob files. The DDTS-100 will pick up the true digital signal if they are vob files, converted from divx with AC3 sound.
I use 'VSO divxtodvd', you can google a link.

Old computer and ipod play files but new computer and iphone4 will not! why

Well I just found out I have a problem. About a year or so ago I converted an audio tape to AAC by running a line into my iMac G5 and recording the files. Now on my new mac mini snow leopard server I cannot get the files to play, but when trying to play it on my old iMac G5 there is no problem. I have it set as an audiobook since it's some tapes that go along with a textbook I use for teaching.
If I sync the files on my iPhone 4, they will not play. If I sync them on my old ipod with clickwheel (40GB) they play fine (synced from my new computer), and they play fine on a Windows 7 machine running iTunes. So I cannot figure out what is my problem.
I have tried converting the files a million different ways on the old machine and the new machine without any luck.
Does it have something to do with the new quicktime integration with Snow Leopard?

If I create 3 web applications and have a seperate folder for common jsps
          that the jsps in these 3 web apps include, how can I access the jsps and js
          in this common folder? The JSP compiler was able to compile. The folders I
          created are all under the applications directory, including the common
          folder. I use the inclide file directive with ../common/scripts.js and the
          compiler could not recognize the location.

MuVo Sport C100 and MMC c

I have a new kingston 52mb MMC card.
My pc sees the card 'out of the box', the Muvo indicates that a card is there and when conected via usb card shows, however attempt to access it (write to it) io error.
PC writes no problem, muvo does not see any music copied via pc, shows 'no music'
specs say card should be ok.
any ideas

Search for C00 and MMC in the past threads as I have seen something before where only certain types (not makes) of MMC card worked. Did you know there were different types? Nor did the others till they had problems!

Hi,
I want to create and save a file form flex web application. Is it possible ?
I have done some googling and found that its only possible through file referece, which needs some serverside implementation be called.
Is it not possible with file reference to create and save file directly ?
Can any one suggest how to over come this.

code written with the Flex Builder 3 libraries will certainly run in Flash Player 10. However, what you need is not so much the capabilities of FP10 but the library functionalities of the Flex 4 package. And I think that Flex 4 code will only run in FP10 and not 9 (but haven't tested this as at work we have not yet been permitted to upgrade, so there is not a lot of point going for Flex 4!).

The camera connection kit USB connector can only be used for import of photos & videos. Can't be used for export of any files.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Where do i find form and action java files

I was trying to add a new menuitem to the web console. I have a jsp page like pag1.jsp and has pageForm and pageAction java file. Inside struct.config file I find that form and action files are placed under"com.thortech.xl.webclient.actions.tcAddCommentForm" , but when I search for the tcAddCommentForm, I coundn't find the file. Can u tell me where should I add my form And Action files

Just what to you mean? The Info pane for the iPod in iTunes allows you to sync the iPod contacts and calendar with other calendars and contacts. There is no contacts or calendar in iTunes.

I have to create a external table,the file that is associated with external table is browsed in the form through button,after the file is browsed ,the same file has to be placed in unix directory.
Second button -
This button is to execute a packaged procedure which will be using the data from the file associated with the external table that we placed in the unix directory ( which i explained under button1)

I don't see anything in Help that shows when you already have transfered all the files over. Why would it want to erase and sync when I already have all the music folder copied over? I didn't have an issue when I had another technician copy from one laptop to another. Home sharing is also on but not being recognized.

I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

It's a really nice program that converts not only your HOME MOVIE DVD VOB files, but AVI, MPEG, and others. You can set the CPU usage from high to low with five settings, it has a queue which you can add multiple files to, and it will minimize to the taskbar for compact convenience. There are other Windows programs that do much the same, but I prefer Videora. Oh ... and it's freeware!!

Authorize the new computer. Launch iTunes. Go to the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.
