MuVo trouble...firmw

My new Mu Vo tx fm would not play WMA files, so I attempted a firmware update. Now my unit is dead. It will not turn on. When I attempt to install the firmware EXE. it searches, then says the device has "timed out". When plugged in to a USB 2.0 port, it will be recognized as new hard ware found but that's as far as I get. (btw it DOES have a fresh battery )

Got it up and running, thanks. But am still have issues with it not playing some converted files. It installs but just passes by most ripped (from original cd) tunes. The files are not listed as protected when in media explorer so I'm at a loss to figure why they won't play. I'm new at this game and need some help, obviously.....:robotsad:

• Nomad MuVo trouble with on/off swi

I have two the Nomad MuVo players and love them, but when I try to turn my player on, it immediately turns red and won't play. However, if I plug it into the computer the files play fine. Is my control button malfunctioing? Can it be replaced or fixed?

Thank you! You were correct. I checked the file I had transfered a folder instead of the individual music files so I guess the player couldn't play it. It is working fine now! Thanks for the speedy reply!

• [Expert] Problem with Muvo² 5Go and firmwa

When i turn my mp3 player on, it shows first "Creative", then "Muvo?", and stop here. I can't listen to my mp3, can't connect it to my pc because it's not recognize anymore. Somebody has an idea on how to fix this problem?

A lot of people get the backlight buzz on different MuVo players and it is a hardware "feature" i.e. it can't be fixed by a firmware upgrade.
Different headphones can make the noise appear worse - looks like the HQ-700 fall into this category. Not much to be said apart from:
use different headphones.

turn off the backlight.

• Muvo TX SE Firmw

Hello,
Why aren't there updated firmwares for Muvo TX/TX SE (The latest is .0 5feb2005...) whereas Muvo TX FM's firmwares are often updated ?
It's the same player with/without the radio function, so why updating Muvo TX FM and not Muvo TX ? That shouldn't be difficult to make firmware for these players from the MuvoTXFM firmware...Message Edited by St4rLa on -7-2005 04:4 PM

is any one going to reply to this?
i think that the muvo tx is a fine player i use it when jogging with the arm band, but

• Trouble with MuVo mp3 pla

I downloaded music to my new MuVo mp3 player but the player says there's no music on it. When I plug the mp3 player into the computer, I can see all the songs I downloaded but when I turn on the player - the message is no music. Please help. I can't wait to start enjoying listening to music everywhere I go. Thanks

Are the songs in the right format? I assume the muvo is compatable with mp3/.wma/.wav Are your songs in those formats? I have a muvo tx fm 256mb and those are pretty much the files that I think it supports. Are your songs in those forms?

I have only heard of one person in here who managed to get an earlier firmware back on once they had gone to .5.0 or beyond. They put on .0.02 - get the link to it from this excellent post by dingens.
I have tried to go to .2.0 and couldn't get it to work - haven't tried .0.02 yet - I'm not feeling brave enough!

Hi, just a little question: will MuVo N200 firmware still be developed in the future or is developing regarded as "done"? The latest fw is .2.0 (24.02.2005) and has still some annoying bugs (which were reported here).

No one knows for sure.... guess if they are rebranding the n200 to nano plus then all future firmware update for the nano plus should works for the n200..... so keep those fingers of yours crossed.

• Fixed a frozen zen v plus.... but now trouble Installing firmw

Ok, first of all, I managed to fix the problem I was having earlier with the frozen zen v. If your player is frozen no matter how you try to manage it:?. reset it (by sticking a pin in the hole below the power?switch) if this fixes your frozen player, then you should be set, but if?it is still frozen proceed to the next step. 2. when turning your player on?again,?hold down the power on button while also holding the play button. When you?see the creative logo, press play again. you will now be in recovery mode.3. go down to the "format all"?option. *note: this will delete all contents of your player, but it will no longer be frozen. Everything should now be working. Ok, now I made the mistake of pressing the "reload firmware" option. I downloaded the firmware that was released this past october on my pc, thinking that it would be less buggy and such. So when I deleted the old firmware, the new firmware does not detect my player and cannot be added. My pc sees the zen v though. After reading a few similar threads with other players, it seems I might need to re-install the old firmware somehow. Anyone know where I can get that? or better yet how to install the new firmware??Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike, here's the link to where you can download the latest firmware for the V Plus:
