MuVo TX FM Quest

I just bought the player today. The player works fine and all but something bothers me.
My USB ports are on the back of the computer and i have to plug the thing into there. Everytime i finishing transfering something into the player and i remove it, the lcd screen has this black stuff on it. It goes away but i dunno if this is a problem. Some feed back would be cool. Thnx ahead of time.

Turning off USB plug sign on your Windows will do.

  • 1GB sd card for Creative Muvo Sport C100 questi

I want to get a GB sd card for a Creative Muvo Sport C00. I was thinking of getting it from amazon. Can anyone tell me
)the name of ones that will works with the Creative Muvo Sport C00.
2)the best one I should get (or should I just get the cheapest).
    Thanks

It sounds like something got corrupted in the memory. I would reformat and transfer the music again. Won't take long ... 256MB with 50-ish tracks at USB2 speeds is quick.

  • The Creative MuVo 2 FM quest

I was considering buying a The Creative MuVo 2 FM and I had a couple of questions. Can you create on the fly playlists on this unit, and will this unit ever be upgradable to subscription services or is it too old to upgrade.
Also, is there any headphone jack issue like the Micro.
    Thnaks all.

. I know you can save playlists to it, but I'm not sure it has a queue in a similar sense to the Zen hard disk based players. My feeling is you won't be able to save playlists, but I can't say 00% for sure.
    2. I doubt very much it will be upgraded for subscription.
    3. I've seen the odd issue with the headphone socket, but it's very rare. All portable players suffer from this to some degree.

  • MuVo Micro n200 quest

This might sound like a stupid question because it's probably really easy, but how do you create new folders on the n200? I want to separate songs by genre, but I just cannot figure out how.
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Qwety23,
Here is how you create new folders and transfer files.
First off make sure you have the right hand panel showing by checking it like this:
    <IMG src="http://temp.oddigytitanium.com/MS-transfer%20%23.JPG">
Next you will want to select the MuVo NX in the right hand window and then press the new button to make a new folder like this:
    <IMG src="http://temp.oddigytitanium.com/MS-transfer%20%232%20new%20folder.JPG">
Then double click on your new folder on the right hand panel. It will then go in it. Select the songs you wish to transfer and press the right facing arrow. Like this:
    <IMG src="http://temp.oddigytitanium.com/MS-transfer%20%233%20transfer.JPG">
    This should get it transferred.

  • Audio Book in MuVo TX FM Quest

I just purchased my first MP3 player, the Creative MuVo TX FM 256MB. I'm very happy with it so far. My main reason for choosing this player was its ability to play Audible format files. However, it doesn't seem to remember where I left off in a book. I have to remember the time spot where I left off. I've checked the documentation but can find no reference to a bookmark feature. I do recall reading on the Audible.com site that they certify only players that have this feature. This player is certified by them.
Is this player capable of remembering where you left off? IF so, how do I access this feature?
    Thanks,
    3rdof8

I have the Muvo N200 and I used to listen the audio books a lot, for my player I just pause it before I turn off then when I turn it on it will play at where is was.

  • MuVo Micro Subfolder quest

On the MuVo Micro N200(and I assume the Zen Nano Plus), you can create subfolders. If you have, say folders in this arrangement:
    <DIV align=center>root
    <DIV align=center>root/a
    <DIV align=center>root/a/b
    <DIV align=center>root/a/c
    <DIV align=center>root/d
can you set it so that the Micro will play not only folder a, but folders b and c as well, but no other folders(such as d)?
I've tried finding it on the forums, but can't. Help greatly appreciated. Thanks

It will play each folder that has music files directly in it - if a, b and c actually have music files in they will play.

  • MUVO TX SE imoprtant questi

Hi, i would like to ask...
.Why isn't a MuvoTX SE firmware available on creative webpage. Is MuvoTX(or TX FM) firmware suitable for MuvoTX SE?
2.Are there any other differences between MuvoTX and MuvoTX SE?(I just know that accessories in the package are slightly different and i think that MuvoTX SE has longer playtime than MuvoTX)
3.Can somebody tell me, why is then MuvoTX SE cheaper than MuvoTX? :0)

. I'm pretty sure the SE is just a different packaged version of the MuVo TX original, hence MuVo TX firmware updates should work.
    2. I believe it's just accessories... perhaps it has a different colour scheme? Maybe a Mod knows more...
    3. Prices are often illogical

  • MUVO^2: Media Library setup & Playlist questi

I just purchased and received a MUVO^2 which is my first MP3 player. I have been using Windows Media Player to manage my music collection. The Creative Mediasource software that came with the MUVO^2 had no instructions besides the online ones. I dragged and dropped the folders of music that I wanted on my player and that worked fine. Now I'm trying to manage the playlist function and I don't think I'm doing it right. I created a playlist in the organizer from files already on the player. When I moved the playlist to the player, it seemed to copy all the songs to the playlist folder as well. Doesn't it just need to point to the location of each song in the playlist and not duplicate the file? 4GB is good size but it isn't limitless and I will be out of room very shortly if each custom playlist duplicates files already on the player. Is there a better way I could've set my player up? Easer way to create playlists and not duplicate files?
    Thanks.

    Gerrit,
The playlist feature on the MuVo 2 works like this:
) If you create the playlist in MediaSource and transfer it, the songs on it will be transferred with it. This can duplicate tracks.
    2) You can create playlists on the player by selecting it as the source and creating them on the player. This allows you to make them with songs that are on the player.

  • Zen Sleek Docking Station (Also Muvo V200 Battery Pack) Quest

Does anybody know when the Zen Sleek docking station will be back in stock, or is it in stock anywhere else? I was hoping to get it before christmas. Is there a new one coming out becuase of the Zen Sleek Photo release?
Also I have a Muvo V200, is the Creative? MuVo? NX / MuVo? TX Battery sold in the creative store compatible with this product?
    Thanks for the help

The battery pack for the V200 is a different size/shape to the one for the TX, NX, TX FM etc. More important I suppose is whether the actual MP3 module is the same size or not; whether the V200 module will fit in the TX battery compartment or not.
Creative's official answer will probably be that they are different. On first looks they appear different but someone with both players might be able to give you a better answer.

  • Muvo Slim Quest

    Hello
I have a Muvo Slim and I wanted to know if it's possible with somekind of software to have it connected to the computer with the usb and still have it playing a song? thx

Hmmm. I know with the Zen players they will play from the player themselves (that is from the headphone jack) when you use USB, and from the PC when you use USB2.
The MuVos are a different kettle of fish though, and I assume are just mass storage hence play on the PC. Unless MediaSource is able to control them in some way, but it sounds like it can't...

  • Quick MuVo V100 Quest

Just a couple of quick questions about the MuVo V00 (the new 2gb one).
On the CNET review page it says this:
"Digital player playback modes: Repeat shuffle"
This player DOES use menus and stuff right? It's like an ipod shuffle that just plays things out of order, etc?
Also does anyone know if this player ONLY uses id3 tags? It says they're supported but personally I prefer folder browsing and I'm wondering if this player offers it.
Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated, I assure you.
Thanks!Message Edited by snaithbert on --200606:34 PM

It has a number of play modes including shuffle/random modes. If it is like the rest of the MuVo players then browsing is by folder using the Skip Folder function from the menu. ID3 tags are used for track title display. PB

  • MuVo Analog-to-MP3 encoding quest

Starting out with the MuVO N200. One reason I like it is I can use it to transfer my back collection of cassettes and LP's to digital format. However, my first experiments have run into a problem. I find that when I record from a cassette at a hign enough volume for the "SYNC" feature to work, the MP3 plays back with static at peak volumes - apparently there is no level control. Happened at different bit rate levels, so that's not it either.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this effecti'vely?
Also, does anyone know a reliable shareware MP3 editor? I thought if I transferred whole album sides, then cut and pasted the individual tracks out, and maybe tweaked the volume level, it might be a possible solution.
    Thanks.

I hear that Audacity is supposed to be reasonable, and it's free.
It should help you spot if the volume is too loud at least, and to edit the tracks.
