MuVo TX SE 1GB formatting prob

I've been reading a lot of questions and answers, but I still couldn't find my question, so I post it here... I have a problem with my MP3 Player. I have a <I>MuVo TX SE</I> from <I>Creative</I>. (GB) I can not format my MP3 Player anymore. I can start up the progres, but afterwards it gives a system error or nothing on my computer works anymore. When I plug it out, the computer is functioning normal again. I also tried to format my MP3 Player with the program that goes with this MP3 Player. But again, the same problem. When I want to add music to my MP3 Player, I get the message I have to format it first. Eventhough I have an empty screen when I look at the file list. I hope someone can help me.... And that I made the problem clear for the one that can perhaps solve it. Thank you!

I dont really understand what you mean. I'm not a real expert in these kind of things. Also my MediaSource Organizer isn't working properly. It gives a messages that my PC Music Library is corrupted. And I didn't even have used it yet. I feel the problem lies with my MP3 Player. That something it damaged in it.. I wonder if there a more people with this problem. I've had this MP3 Player for about a year now. And now it's having problems.Kind of a bummer actually...

  • Muvo N200, 1GB installation prob

I made the mistake of connecting the Muvo to my computer before
installing the software. Not a good idea. Even after installing
the software the device manager keeps on indentifying the Muvo
as an "Unknown device". I then tried installing it on my wife's
computer in the proper order and the Muvo was recognized properly.
But I want to install it on my computer. Unfortunately all my
system restore points were overwritten by my many install attempts,
so now I am sunk. I've got to figure out how to fix the damage
manually. Even removing the device using the device manager,
uninstalling the software, reinstalling in the proper order,
and finally connecting the MP3 player doesn't work. When I plug
in the MP3 player itstill recognizes it only as an unknwown
    device.

It did work on other computers, so as you pointed out, it was
clear the problem was not with the Muvo N200. I tried updating
the BIOS and all the MotherBoard related drivers. Then I removed
all USB stuff via the Device Manager and let XP put it all back.
... Plugged the muvo back in ...
Drat. It just says "Unknown Device" and does not show another
    disk dri've.
    > and you could try creating another user account ...
    Tried that too. Same problem
    > Try using other available USB port ...
The four main USB ports on the MBD back panel were all
in use so I had been using one of the four USB ports on
a PCI add-in card I installed to give me more ports.
I tried switching to the USB ports on the front of the
computer (which are cabled to an aux USB connector on
the motherboard). Same deal - unknown device. (This is
    getting old).
Finally I tried unplugging my digital camera base unit
from on the the four main USB ports on the MBD back panel
and I plugged my Muvo N200 into that. Instant Recognition!!!
A new disk dri've appears, and it even knows that it is a
Create Muvo. So then I plugged my digital camera base unit
into the USB add-in card and it works just fine too. (It
also shows up as a disk dri've).
So now all is well except for my fragile understanding.
Here I thought all USB ports were created equal (well except
for the ver verses ver 2 thing). But clearly on my computer
they are not. Perhaps there is someting wrong with my MBD
or its setup that causes this.
Anyway, thanks for all your suggestions, especially since
I don't think I would have figured it out on my own.

  • Muvo TX SE 1GB - Strange Noi

I bought a Muvo TX SE GB yesterday and everything seems to be fine, except some kind of strange beeping and whirring noise (that a cd player sometimes makes). I have read other threads with this problem, but no one has actually told how they got rid of it (that is, IF they got rid of it). I have tried the firmware for the muvo TX: NOMAD MuVo TX Audible Firmware Upgrade .0.05
Is this the correct one for the muvo tx se? If so, it doesn't seem to work. I chose the option to format my mp3-player, and when I turned it on, it was still making the noise, even when it wasn't playing a song.
Please help, I couldn't find the answer elsewhere, and if it is there, I must have skipped it (if so, please redirect me) or it was written vaguely.
So I would appreciate any response, thank you.

If it makes you happy - I think I have the exact same problem with my recently bought MuVo 52 TX. When I turn the player on I hear sort of buzzing/whirring static noise in my headphones. It changes a bit when I press volume buttons, albo it as if "reacts" when I am skipping folders using menu - every time I skip a folder there is a "buzz" (apart from that there is a regular buzz in the background).
My friend who has muvo 52 TX FM has no such problem. I am sure this is not a problem with headphones because I connected them to iPod mini and they played fine.
I wrote creative support about this and they suggested me to do a firmware upgrade.
After I did it the player "died" - I read many people have the same problem:
    http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=dap&message.id=95672#M95672
I will have to return the player to the store I bought it in.

  • NOMAD MuVo not working after formating with Wind

    Hi,
Yesterday, I formated my NOMAD MuVo player with windows (FAT32) and now it only works as a USB key. When I press on the play button the light turns to red and there's no sound.
I have neither the firware nor the drivers and when I try to install the firware it does not work (the software can't find the player that is plugged into the USB port).
    Could someone please help me?
    Thanks.

Have you followed the instructions on reloading the firmware at the download page? Often for MuVos there is a special procedure to follow (click "show details" next to the firmware download link).
Formatting as FAT32 can be a bad idea as some players don't recognise the file system.

  • Firmware upgrading and formatting prob

i've got a problem for formatting my MUVO S200 bye FAT32.
it formats FAT6 greatly, but cannot be formatted by FAT32.
however, when i want to upgrade my firmware, i get a error saying: Unable to write firmware file data!!!
    What can i do?

You can format use FAT or FAT6 don't use FAT32 because you can't play your Mp3 with FAT32 .
I very like Creative MUVO TX FM . Thanks Creative company for new support Muvo TX FM .

  • MuVo TX FM Adding song prob

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I reci'ved an MuVo TX FM for Christmas and i can't figure out how to add songs to it. I have look all over this site and can not find anything on how to add them. My computer is a Dell Windows Xp, also. Please help me out!
    --Michael

It should be in the manual... but basically you connect the player to the PC and it should appear as a dri've letter in Windows Explorer. You then copy supported audio files e.g. WMA, MP3, to the player as the dri've letter. Once copied you disconnect the player and the songs should be there and available to play.

  • Muvo^2 FM (5gb) scandisk prob

I saw an earlier post that had the same problem as me, but there was no follow up answer.
Anyway, my problem is that when I start my Muvo up, it says that smartscan failed, and that I should press the menu button to go into recovery mode.
I then select PC scandisk, and it tells me to attach the USB cord.
Afterwards, the computer detects the Muvo, but nothing more happens. The screen on the Muvo is simply the icon that indicates that it is connected, but scandisk is not run at all.
I'm sure I am just skipping something really simple.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

    eneleon,
You need to run Scandisk from Windows manually. Open Windows Explorer and right click at the removable disk dri've letter of the player. Select Properties -> Tools tab -> Error checking column. Select the option 'Automatically fix file system errors' and start the process. Be sure to disconnect the player properly using the Safely remove hardware icon at the taskbar.

  • Muvo TX FM battery drain prob

I've had this thing for about 6 months i guess. Bought it to use on a motorcycle but that didn't work out so now i use it as a personal recorder. In this context it will sometimes not be used for a couple weeks or more. The problem is every time i put it down i have to remove the battery and re-install it when i want to use it. If i let it sit with the battery in it for any length of time over several days or so the battery drains completely. And this is with the unit TURNED OFF. And yes, i have thought about the fact that the battery is used to retain settings i've stored, but how can that drain a battery in as little as a few days or a week? In fact, only a few settings are not set to default. i do have it filled with songs too, but that can't use battery power because if they are stored on a chip that requires power to retian them why don't they disappear when i remove the main part from the battery p[art? Is this thing defecti've or just junk? I doubt i have the reciept so sending it in for repair isn't an option.

Well, that doesn't tell you how to access recovery mode, so i had to do a support search for how to do that. As per my last post those instructions are not clear for the reasons i stated already. And as i also said, nothing i tried that could be interpreted as what it means worked. Plug it into the USB holding the menu button and you do not get recovery mode, nor do you get it after trying other buttons. Heres the instructions....
. Press and hold the Play/Pause button on the player until it powers off, and remove the battery.
    2. Press and hold the MENU button, while doing so, connect the player to power supply/adapter
    3. Release the MENU when the message 'Recovery Mode' appears on your player's LCD ( as illustrated below):
Note: If the message 'Recovery Mode' does not appear, repeat steps above.
    4. Press the forward and back buttons (>>| and |<<) on the player to browse and select the desired recovery option. The Recovery Mode offers six options:
    * Run PC ScanDisk In order for PC scandisk to run, the unit must be connected to the PC via the USB cable
    * Clean Up (the player organizes files on the hard dri've and fixes any file problems which may have developed)
    * Format all ( this will erase all data on the unit )
    * Reload Firmware (Caution: Do not select this option until a firmware update has been downloaded onto the PC)
    * Connect to PC (If your PC is having difficulty recognizing the player, we recommend this option)
    * Reboot
Note number 2. I assume "power supply/adapter" means the USB port, but why don't they say that ?! It certainly cannot mean the battery housing because )- that doesn't make sense, and 2)- i tried it anyway and nothing happens when holding down the button as described. In USB as i said before, recovery mode never comes up no matter how long you hold the menu button.

  • Muvo TX FM weird connection prob

Hy everybody! Im from Germany, but bought my MUVO 256 TX FM over the internet about a year ago, and it worked quite well all this time, untill last week!
The weird thing is that the player works just fine, I can listen to the music already stored inside, but when I connect it to any computer (I tried about 5 different now), there is no response at all!! It is not even recognized as 'new hardware' or 'other hardware' in the device manager!!
However, the player shows the tipical "connected" screen when I plug it in!
    Someone Help me!! XD
And Thanks for at least trying

  • Date format prob

    Dear All
I am trying to write this date format in trigger

    Pls ans
    Regards

"Are there any overloaded functions for to_date that takes an argument of date?"
No. Why would there be? In Oracle, a date is stored in a defined internal format There is no need to convert it to a different kind of date. You only need to convert when you have a string that you want to turn into a date, or a date that you want to turn into a string.
Doing TO_DATE on a date is equivalent to doing:
    TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(date, nls_date_format)).

  • MuVo Micro N200 1GB Disturbing noise when backlight

I have a very disturbing noise when the backlight is lit on my MuVo Micro N200? Is this normal?

    Hi,
Very recently a noise, a very loud hissing sound is produced by my MuVo Micro N200 GB. I have this player since early in the beginning of the 4th quarter last year. Few weeks after a bought it, it will just flash "creative" and wont turn on. I returned it the vendor and they were able to fix it after 3 weeks. (Sorry for the long introduction)
Now after more than 6 mos. a very loud hissing sound is heard from it, you won't even hear the music, the recording is okay, the radio is okay only when you play MP3, you'll hear nothing but noise.
Sometimes when I turn it off and then on, it will disappear but then only after a few songs, it will start to hiss again. It's quite frustrating.
