MUVO TX SE CRASH

After turning on the power, the display said: no music. Strange because there were over 300 songs on it. I connected it to my pc (windows XP) and the software showed all the songs. Again I turned on the power. Same message. I decided to format but I couldn't. The software didn't react. My PC went crazy.
My MP3 is useless now and I cannot restore it. Who knows what to do?

MuVo V100 crashes my

New in this forum.
It's been almost a year since I got my MuVo V00 (2Gb), it's been working great until today. It just stopped working, I thought it was the battery so I tried a fresh one but when I turned it on it just hangs in the "CREATIVE" window and doesn't go from there. I tried plug in it in my PC to reformat but when I try to open it from the dri've letter it crashes my PC, any action I tried gives the same result, even the safe hardware removal feature.
Any ideas, thanks for any help.
UPDATE: FIXED, I updated to firmware version .05.0 and that solved the problem. I guess the original firmware got corrupted somehow when the rechargable battery went dead.

I also have a problem with my Mp3 player Muvo V00 months old, It happened that the mp3 player lost some music files by itself and when I turned it on I could only listen to few songs on it. Afterward, I connected it to my PC but it wasnt responding and the computer system told me that the windows was unable to save all the data for the player ( File H: ), and it showed?" Delayed write faillde, the data has been lost. Save the file somewhere else" on the computer. What is the solution to this ? Can someone help me out

My MuVo Micro Crashes My Computer and Locks Up - HELP

I just got a Creative 52MB MuVo? Micro N200 for christmas. I just learned how to rip tracks from a CD and transfer it into the player. However, I tried this twice and both times it totally crashed my computer (total lock up in blue screen saying it couldn't write to the dri've for my player - had to turn off the power to turn off the computer) and locked up the player. Both times, I was transferring several (about 5) songs at one time. It it said that all the songs were complete except the last one. Then it kind of hung up. It wouldn't even let me eject the dri've because it said it was still transferring files. Then the computer crashed. Afterward, the player wouldn't even turn on. I had to take the battery out and put it back it in. The songs I had transferred made it into the player okay.
My computer is about 3-4 years old. It is an HP Pavilion with a celeron processor and I upgraded the RAM to 320 MBs. I am connecting to the player through a USB hub. I run the ZoneAlarm firewall and the AVG anti-virus program and I keep both up to date. Another weird thing that happens is that every time I connect the player to the computer, my webshots (a free screensaver and wallpaper picture program) program organizer starts up.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to fix this?

ME is the worst!
With installing my zen xtra software it completely deleted my registry..... I install it on my xp comp, it works fine..... the only problem is that all my music is on my ME comp..... im not going to split the files and put all of them on floppys..... i have AVG too..... I wonder if it causes it!
I hate Windows ME..... it was even deemed the worst OS ever by tech tv!
It could be the firmware, even the media player drivers..... I cant test the media player idea, as soon as i install it it kills my computer..... but i installed new firmware and it stopped freezing ( The zen xtra )

Help, crash during Muvo TX FM firmware upgr

Hi,
While upgrading (have upgraded with no issue twice in the past) my muvo to the latest firmware, the installation was interrupted.
Now my Muvo is neither recognized by my PC (Win2K) nor does it boot (the LCD stays dark) in its sleeve even with a brand new battery. Is there a way I can recover my device

MUVO^2 crash when trasferring fi

I have a muvo^2 4GB. When i transfer file, defrag, scandisk, in usb2.0 my muvo hang up. I have also problem with my external hdd (delayed write error). In my old pc (usb.) works great.

Order of tracks in MuVo V100

My MuVo V00 currently plays the tracks of an album in alphabetical order, not in the order of the album. How do I change this? The tracks have been ripped by using MuVos own program.

I have a Zen NanoPlus, which I think uses the same folder format as a Muvo. You have to have your files labled with a track number, such as "0-Crush.wma". Again, I'm assuming the Muvo is similar to the Nano (it used to be pretty much identical). To fake a playlist, you do the same thing in appending the filename with an additional number, such as "0-04-Born in the USA.wma" . Creative used to have a utility that did this for you but I lost it long ago. You could drag the files around in a "playlist" and it would rename them for you, thereby keeping the order you wanted. Jump in here anybody on this one---my memory is failing. It was about 3 years ago I used that.
UPDATE---this was bugging me so I did a search. Apparently, the included Zen Media Explorer software contains this feature (although I use a version of that now and no longer recall this feature being available. I DID, however, find an old post and link by SSR about "Reorganize", a freeware application that looks as though it should solve this issue. The screenshot looks similar to an old Rio manager program I used to use for playlists on that device (before I gave that old Rio to my son as a mobile replacement for his Zen Micro---his HD crashed once and was repaired under extended warranty but he is now afraid of a hard-dri've based player---me too---my Zen Touch died last week for no apparent reason).
I now have my older NanoPlus and a brand-new Zen. I have to say I still like that little Nano, as you can't beat the convenience of a AAA battery when not home. I had a flight attendent comment on how small it was once. The biggest drawback, though, is the playlist issue. Maybe this "Reorganise" will solve that. Any firmware for Muvo Sport c1

I've just got a new Creative muvo sport c00..i used to have creativ rhomba which crashed after displaying some msgs about downloading firmware. Is it necessary to download any firmware for this new muvo or is it ok if i dont? I purchased it in Russia where i'm living now. Thanks for ur help

You don't need to update, but if you want to, there is an update available on the site, under Support> Downloads. The file is called MuVoC00_PCFW_LB__0_0.exe

Muvo^2 5.0GB with Windows Vi

I'm having trouble with the down- and uploading of music on my Muvo^2 5.0GB. Everything works perfect on my old desktop with windows XP and the muvo firmware is as up to date as possible. Though for some reason I cant maintain connection with the mp3 player on my laptop, which is running on Vista.
When I plug it in, it makes the proper connection. Then I can open the browser of the mp3 player, but as soon as I try to down or upload, the explorer windows crash. When I listen to the dri've in the mp3 player I can hear it just suddenly sto

On the website I noticed there aren't any Vista software updates for my muvo, so I was wondering if anybody else has the same problem of if anybody can help me with it.

Mediasource now crashes with new version. CTCMS err

I have been using Mediasource for months with my Zen Xtra 40gb. No problems.
I just got a Muvo TX FM and installed the newer version of Mediasource. Now I can't rip CD's.
Whenever I try to rip Mediasource crashes with a "CTCMS" error. It does read disk for CDDB info.
And it does it for Zen or Muvo. It's the Mediasource program, not the devices. I use WIN98SE.

Have you try to uninstall and reinstall MediaSource again?
I would suggest that you uninstall all the MediaSource application and then download the MediaSource from the website for installation.

Go to Zen Xtra product listing and download the driver, MediaSource application and Nomad Pack.
Remember to install in the order as above also.
After you have completed that, test the Zen Xtra and see if it works with the application. If all is well, go to the website again and select MuVo TX FM product listing. This time, you will only need to download the Nomad Pack for the MuVo. Install the Nomad Pack and your MuVo TX FM should work with the MediaSource.

Volume button on Muvo N200 not work

I have a MuVo N200 Gb. A week after getting it the volume button stopped working. Rather than adjusting the volume, the mp3 player crashes and turns itself off immediately. The player can subsequently be turned on, pause/play button works and toggle switch works, in addition to music playing as normal. However, as soon as the volume buttons are pressed the mp3 player crashes again.
Does anyone know how this can be fixed?
I have the latest firmware update, which is "MuVo N200, FW release .".

I tried the new update and it solved the problem. Someone had posted a similar problem on this site; in their case the player crashed each time the radio option was selected on the player. There must be a bug in the software that is dri'ven by some kind of event.
The thing that concerns me the most is that when I used the "automatically check for new firmare" option on the creative site I was told I had the most up to date firmware, which clearly wasn't the case! Oh well...

New muvo, but old probl

Hello everyone!
Time ago, my MuVo (classic) was suddently dead so I bought a muvo tx fm 256mb. Now, I can't use it because my windows can't install muvo drivers correctly. I've got 2 pc with windows XP and both of them give me the same problem!!!!!
After some clicks on "my computer" It crash until I don't unplug the muvo. I can't write, read or do anything else with the muvo. Pratically it's unusable. It's nice because I had the same problems with my old Muvo!!!!!
I tryed everything's possible. I also formatted my pc, but the problem's the same

There was no need to download any drivers for Windows XP, it should ust be able to recognize the MUVO as a removable dri've, just like a memory stick. You can use "my computer" to install music files but you will probably have better luck with Windows Media Player or the Creative software.
Try to rollback your computer to before you installed the drivers or uninstall the drivers.

I am experiencing the same problem, i still have the installation cd but i cant find the drivers on it. When i run the installation program for the drivers it wont work because iKernel causes to crash the installation program "Faulty page". So the only option is to insert the MuVo TX and install the drivers manually with Win98SE, anyone that can help to find the right drivers email me please at [email][email protected]][email protected][/url]

Muvo TX doesn't work with FW:1.21

I've got a big problem with my Muvo TX 52MB (SE package):
Since I've installed the newest Firmware .2.02 in the US or the European version the player doesn't work anymore.
-the player stops audio output after a few seconds in a song (but the timer goes on)
-after some time the player shuts off and forgets every setting made prior to the crash
-the contrast settings don't have any effect on the display
is there an old FW out there, which I can use?
did I make a mistake during the upgrade process? (the FW program told me, that it was successfull)
does anybody else experience this or similar problems and what was the best solution?

After reading a lot of the boards and stuff I finally was able to revert to .9.0, but not before trying everything under the sun.
Starting with a player that had nothing on it I did the following:
- reinstalled .22.03 so I had something that my PC could copy files on to, etc...
- using Windows Explorer, formatted the device to FAT, instead of FAT32
- Attached device in Recovery mode (holding play button long enough while connecting to USB port, that the device came up listed as in recovery in the device manager dialog.
- launched .9.0 install (MuVoTXFM_PCFW_LF__9_0.exe)
This time I didn't semaphore timeout and it got past allocating tables and completed the install. My tests of the device seem to indicate things are working again.
Hope these steps help others!

Problems running creative zen nano plus and nomad muvo on same compu

We have 2 nomad muvo mp3 players and now a zen nano plus .Have had constant problems with the media organiser .
Installed zen nano plus and selected enable smart fit to get maximum amount of songs and it worked fine but as soon as we tried to install software for the 2 nomad players it would not work smart fit for any of them.
Uninstalled everything and got the zen software in and it was running ok but then seemed to have problems and although smart fit was enabled it just copied files as the original mp3.
It then fatally crashed yesterday and I am awaiting a replacement as I had only had it for 2 days.
Is it possible to run all 3 and to be able to use smart fit on all 3 players or am I better off having just one working and using the file converter for the other 2.

Make sure that you have installed the MediaSource plugin for MuVo in order to get SmartFit You have to access SmartFit via the MuVo node of the Sources window in MediaSource. You won't see SmartFit if you access your MuVo via the My Computer node of the Sources window in MediaSource..
Here is what you should do to get the latest MediaSource software:
- Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 from your product download site.
- (Depending on your firmware)
Download and install the latest Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.9 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.
or:
Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8) from your product download site.
- Download and install the latest Creative MuVo plugin .0.05 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.
