MuVo TX SE "pop" sou

Ok, here's my problem (sorry for the long story, but I'm really disappointed):
Today I bought the Creative Muvo TX 52mb, but, when the backlight was activated, it beeped. A really high anoying tone. And when the backlight went off, it was just silent. Nothing weird at all, but thats not what i expected from the product...
So I took it back to the store, I was able to pick another one, but there wasnt a dark colored TX, so it took the Creative MuVo TX SE GB (black).
In the shop I listened, and that anoying beep was gone, so i was happy...
When I came home, and put some music to the player, and turn down the volume to 2 (that is still really loud with those logitech psp in-earphones) and OMG, what was this, a really disturbed frequency tone. i didnt notice it in the shop, coz the volume was too high for it there.And with other earphones the same thing.
So I went to the Creative site, and looked for the firmware, found out TX was the same as TX SE so downloaded the latest driver (which said: Removes "pop" sounds heard during playback >that is what i heard<).
After i double clicked the .exe file, it said that firmware was allready on my player (MuVoTX_PCFW_LB__4_02.exe)!! I decided to do it anyway, but it didnt help at all.
I came to this board, searched for "Muvo firmware" and did all possible things that were mentioned:
Restore the player and put on the newest firmware
Restore the player and put on an older firmware (player didnt start with that, so had to restore it again)*
Restore the player and put on the firmware for the TX FM (player didnt start with that, so had to restore it again)*
Searched all the web for the problem, but it should be repaired with that .4.02 driver. But mine isnt repaired at all, its still broken. And my player only seems to work with that .4 driver, with all other drivers it wont do anything.
I send an email to the costumer service, but I dont have the patience anymore to wait for an answer (and i expect one of the answers i found on this board, coz i emailed before i did the research), so I thought, maybe there's someone here who can help me out.
(I'm from The Netherlands, I also downloaded and installed the US drivers, but they seem the same to me.)
*With those firmwares I was able to copy data to/format etc. the players, but plugged into the playercase (where the battery is attached), it did not want to start. And yeah, I tried different batteriesMessage Edited by NotHappyYet on 0-9-2006 0:03 PMMessage Edited by NotHappyYet on 0-9-2006 0:04 PM

i cant now ebuyer said they will not refund my money. so i cant even purchase from there store either.
i might as well stick with them repairing it. for this year. and use it till it dies again. i think that the muvo tx se has a design fault. which has to be the fact that its removalable and the usb head on the player is prone to damage.

  • MuVo N200 random pops and crack

    Hei!
    Just want to report that the old and known problem with a lot of MuVo N200 units, the random popping sounds, is not completely removed by the new firmware .2.0.! The total amount of these ugly noises decreased, thats right, but a few of them are still there. Have double-checked this by rewinding and re-listening (then the noise is gone), and also back-copying to the harddisk and re-listening from there (the noises are also gone).
    Does this really ugly firmware-bug ever get properly fixed?

    I'm curious as to what exactly are the circumstances that lead to crackling, because it has never been a problem with my unit. Maybe it's just the way I use it, or the luck of the draw.
    My guess is that there's many possible causes for the crackling, and the Creative team is only finding (and fixing) the ones they know about?
    Not trying to be all Creative-loving on anyone, but just trying to figure out what's the difference between my experiences and those of others.

    Here is what you should do:
    - Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 from your product download site. Make sure that you install this first before installing the rest of the MediaSource plugins listed below.
    - For NOMAD MuVo series: Download and install the latest Creative MuVo plugin .0.05 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.

  • MuVo TX popping and crackli

    I've been pretty pleased with my MuVo TX so far, the interface in particular, although the buttons are a bit creaky. I've got a more annoying problem which is occasional popping or cracking during playback of tracks. It'll tend to come at random, at most two or three a track, sometimes only one in fifteen minutes' play, and aren't part of the original file (they don't appear if I rewind and replay the section of the track on the MuVo, as well).
    There are also small noises (like whirrs or whines) when the player starts up or switches off, or skips between tracks, and crackles if I'm changing the volume or adjusting the equaliser during playback, but these are obviously less problematic because they're consistent.
    I'm going to give the player a while and see if it's annoying enough to make me contact customer services themselves (although I'm pretty picky about sound, so it probably will be annoying enough), but I thought I'd ask if anyone with the same player's had the same sort of problem.
    Tom's Hardware Guide's review did mention that they'd had no crackling or popping, so I'm trying to figure out if it's an issue with the player's design combined with some oddity of the tracks I'm playing, or I've simply got a slightly duff one. I play MP3s almost exclusi'vely, 28 to 92 kbps generally, and I just stuff a bunch of files on the root directory. Firmware's been updated, BTW, to .0.05.Message Edited by Sockatume on 06-8-2005 06:30 AM

    Hmmm, as far as I know the SE is just a repackaged version of the MuVo TX, so it should work.

  • Pop up Window before saving remembering the need (forcing) to fill required fields in a form

    Hi!
    I searched the "old" forum and have very good help from UVSAR but unfortunately I'm not able to access my message sent to that forum anymore.
    [I could never thank all the people who answered because I keep receiving "Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted.""]
    I've have never use Java scripts in my life: I started about three days ago.
    1) I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro X (Windows 7)
    2) I've created a form using Microsoft Word and save it as a pdf file.
    3) After I created a form using Acrobat Pro X;
    3.1.) This form it's not going to be submitted over Internet. It will be send by e-mail to some persons. They will receive it, fill in the form and send it back to me via e-mail. Note: I will save it with extended rights in order to allow to be read with acrobat reader (I'm the only one of the group having Professional edition).
    4) In that form I've created some text fields (for now it's just what I need - no radio buttons, dropdown
    menus, and so...)
    5) Choosed Properties and marked 7 fields as "required";
    6) Used a script I found in here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/784322 (thank you for the authors of the thread)
    if (!event.target.valueAsString) {
    app.alert("My text My text", 3);
    7) This script allows me to remember people to fill that 7 specific fields (when using mouse or tab).
    8) So... What I really need? Here are the reasons for my request for help:
    8.1.) When people use the Acrobat Reader Save button (not a button I created inside the form) it will pop up an alert message. Users will receive a pop up window telling them they need to fill those fields before saving the form and send it back to me. Can someone share a script, please? Thanks in advance.
    8.2.) Is there a way to colorize the fileds that need to be filled? Again I only learned where to insert a java script yestaerday sou I'm not able to write one. I'm sorry for my newbie questions.
    8.3.) Last question: In one of the fields there will be an e-mail address. On the end of the form I want to create a button like "Send by e-mail" and When someone press that button the e-mail will be sent to the address that was written in the earlier specific field. How can I do this (link a button to an e-mail address in a specific field)? Can someone help me with a script or ideas? Hope I was clear.
    8.1.) UVSAR sent me the following code that works fine untill I save the document for the first time. Affter that he never shows me pop up window again.
    var isFilled = true;
    for (var i=0;i < this.numFields;i++){
    var f = this.getNthFieldName(i);
    if (this.getField(f).required && !this.getField(f).valueAsString) isFilled = false;
    if (!isFilled) app.alert("You must complete all the required fields");
    8.3.) With the help of UVSAR I used:
    var mailto = this.getField('emaddr').valueAsString;
    if (mailto!='') this.mailForm({ bUI:true, cTo:mailto, cSubject:"This is the subject", cMsg: "This is the body of
    the mail." });
    else app.alert("Cannot submit form until the email address field is completed");
    but gives me an error (Note: I named the filed with e-mail "emaddr")
    Once again Thank you so very very much to all the kind people who take their time to share knowledge...
    I'm not a native speaker, sorry for some errors
    Best regards
    AC

    Hi ACI wonder if you can share any responses on to your question above?I too have never used a script but, I have the same problems as you in regards to building a form. And wants to have the same 'protection' and message reminders for the end users. Any information, including a script and/or a contact email of experts you can share with me will help tremendously. • Problem with MuVo Micro N200...please help

    Hey there,
    I recently purchased a Creative MuVo Micro N200 Mp3 Player with 52 memory. It was working perfectly until yesterday when i tried transfering a few mp3s into the player. I was prompted with a dialog box that read 'cannot create file'. Thinking that it had something to do with my computer and tried my player again on a friends laptop and the same error message popped up.After that,i went to www.creative.com where i downloaded another driver and a new firmware. The driver was installed successfully onto my PC.However, when i tried intalling the firmware into the player the following message appeared 'cannot write into device.device timeout' even though i followed every step that was on the site. I know that it has nothing to do with my player memory as there is about 80mb of memory storage left.
    What is wrong with my player?What can i do?
    Any help is deeply DEEPLY appreciated.
    Denis

    What state has it left your player in? Can you switch it on? Can you connect to it from your PC?
    When you couldn't get any more files onto your player where were the files on it's Were they all in the root folder? There is a limitation to the FAT filesystem where you cannot put too many files or folders into the root folder. Create sub-folders and put your files in them.
    Let us know answers to the above questions. If you can't connect to your player there are a few things we can try to get you back up and running.

    HiI had this MuVo TX for a while i have used in the early days as a mp3 player and later mostly as storage for files, now when i try to use it as MP3 it doesn't play or switch on, but works perfectly well as storage device. I have tried formatting. I have even tried the MP3 recovery tool still it doesn't turn on or play music (but able to copy file for storage)?Hope someone can someone rescue my poor MP3 player back. Have you tried reloading the Firmware?
    Top of page on Creative banner, click Support-> Downloads-> MP3 Players-> MuVo-> MuVo TX FM, chose your language and Operating System and select the software that you need.
    Be sure to read and follow the instructions on the Show Details... pop-u

    2. Make sure your player is connected to your computer.
    3. Double-click the downloaded file.

  • Muvo v100 playback w

    hello,i recently purchased a muvo v00i used to have an older version of this mp3 player a loved it dearly before it stopped workingi use the muvo as a flash dri've sometimes in my car's usb portit used to work flawlessly on my older version of this mp3 playerbut now with this newer model, when i plug it in i hear the music allright but its accompanied by a very annoying popping sound that occurs very very frequentlythis saddened me greatly, since it was one of the defining factors in my purchasei've reformatted the dri've using the firmware installer, and the problem still occursany help would be much appreciated, i've already ditched the box so im not sure if i can return this anymorethank you-Seth

    Hi,
    Have you tried different pair of earphones on the player?
    If it's still popping, you might want to get in touch with support. You don't have to worry about the box if you are contacting Creative for warranty claim but be sure to have the proof of purchase with you.

  • Zen MuVo V200 problem

    My sister has the GB Zen MuVo V200 and hasn't filled the capacity yet, but the player won't allow her to put any more songs onto it.
    It pops up a message saying that: "Your Music Library is corrupted and cannot be recovered. MediaSource will now revert to your most recent back-up available. Would you like to continue? Yes/No."
    Even if I click Yes or No, I need to download some Microsoft jet pack software, I haven't a clue what it is!
    I checked the properties of the player, and it says that 604MB is used space, and the free space is 389MB, so I should be able to put more songs on there. I am confused as to where the space has disappeared to. When trying to transfer songs, an error message pops up and says there is a transfer error has occured while transferring this file, and so it cancels the transfer. I think it has something to do with the amount of space, but I am not sure.
    Sorry to be of a nuisance again, but is there anything that I can do?
    Thanks again,
    Vanessa.

    As SSR has said, the PC Music Library error is a MediaSource problem.
    The reason that you haven't managed to fill up your player is covered in SSR's FAQ post. Look for a section titled "I can't seem to fit any more files on my flash player yet I have free space, why?".

  • So is this MuVo V100 (2GB) de

    I bought two of my boys each a MuVo stick just after Christmas last year (in January 2007), the older boy a 2GB model and the younger a GB). I'm referring not to the MuVo2, but to the little jobs that are basically USB dri'ves with a AAA battery.
    They've been terrific players for them, but the older boy's 2GB model seems to be dead. He replaced the battery, and I've tried replacing it again ... to no avail. Device will not power on. When I plug the device into a computer's USB port, nothing happens, even though it used to work like a charm.
    Don't know why it died so suddenly, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any advice on what I might be able to do with it before I rush right out and grab another one. According to what I'm reading here, these little buggers don't seem to have recovery mode.
    Thanks in advance,?-abs

    Well, I tried the advice in the thread, and it *almost* works. The first time I plugged in the player, holding the button, I got the tell-tale "guh-GLUNK" sound XP plays when you plug in a USB device. It then installed and even gave me the pop-up: "STMP3500 installed and ready to use," (or whatever).
    But it doesn't seem to want to *stay* installed. Nothing shows up in Device Manager or as a dri've in Explorer. Upon trying again, I can sometimes get it to recognize (with a "guh-GLUNK"), but it almost immediately UN-attaches itself (with the tell-tale reverse "GUH-glunk" sound).
    I hate it, but I can't think of much else to do. I've tried a dozen times.

  • Muvo tx h

    Ok, um , i got this muvo tx, and i pop in a new battery right, (enigizer the pink bunny kind), and it works for like maybe most probly an hour not continuesly though, and then it shuts off, i had cheaper brand of batteries before, and it would like freeze or something, so ya i looked on the forum for y it was doing this so i found out i had to download firmware, i downloaded, and it still did the same thing. But the battery meter is full, so i decided to put in fresh battery it works, and stays on but eventualy goes out within 30 min, and starts turnin off, and on, so i leave it off for a few minutes, then turn it back on, the metter is full, and it plays maybe one song, or the middle of the second and then shuts off. I know the battery is supposed to last for like 5 hours, so i donno wut's up? If anyone knows about this or wut i could do to fix this, i would highly appreciate it, thank you.

    Downloading is just taking a copy of the file from the website onto your PC. Reloading is when you actually run the file you downloaded so that it reloads the firmware onto your player.
