Muvo v100 playlist/explorer prob

hello all, I've recently purchased a MuVo v00 MP3 player and am currently trying to add playlists to the device to get around the lack of preset playlists. My first problem is that I cannot open the player with media explorer! It doesnt seem to recognize the player. Any suggestions?

Your main problem seemed to be that you couldn't get it recognized by Media Explorer and my answer was to guide you on that problem. The strange thing about using the non-Admin accounts is that Windows and WMP see the player but only Creative apps don't. The only way to use playlists on the V00 is to create a folder for each playlist and put the songs in the folders. You can then use the Media Explorer Custom Sort function to put them in playlist order. On your last issue, there is a limit of 500 songs and 50-60 folders. On the older players this was a total but on the V00 these limits apply to each of the root, Lib A, B & C folders so you get a total of 2000 songs and 200-240 folders. Go into your player in Windows and move the tracks into less folders - put all the same album tracks into one folder under a Various artist folder. PBMessage Edited by PeeBee on 0-08-200709:0 PM

  • Muvo V100 - "Fill Up With Music" is

Using that "Fill Up With Music" option in the Muvo V00 Media Explorer app, I point it to my "iTunes Music" folder and let it rip. Unfortunately, what it does is take random songs and drop them into the player WITH THE FOLDER. So, for example, instead of it just dropping "soulmeetsbody.mp3" into the player it drops a folder "Death Cab for Cutie", then a subfolder in that "Plans" then finally the mp3 file. As you can imagine, the V00 freaks out when you turn it on and there is a gig of music, each with it's own artist folder and album subfolder. Is there any way to tell the software to JUST get the MP3 file instead of pulling this? It's a great way to get a completely random selection of music on the player, but it's utterly worthless the way it works now as it just freezes the player on startup. Before this, I was just using iTunes "Party Shuffle", making it generate random playlists, then dragging them from iTunes to the Muvo via Windows Explorer. It was ok, but takes a lot of time with the Muvo's slow transfer rates.

    Hi,
Check the country specific documentation for where this is a legal requirement.
The standard does not use seperate Stock accounts in the G/L, so such a function is probably only found there.
I suspect that the actual legal requirement is not to have a seperate G/L account, but to be able to report these seperately (covered by standard MM Reports).
    Kind regards

  • Problems with my MuVo V100

Heyho, i bought a Creative V00 on ebay and have some problems with it. I hope you can help me solving them.
. I also own a Creatvie Zen Micro Photo and tried to transfer songs from this player to the V00 via Creative Media Source but it doesnt work.
    2. The Display shows everything unstraigt, right deeper than left.
So please let me her you suggestions how to solve that problem.
    Thank you

Re: Problems with my MuVo V00? You can organize the MuVo with Windows Explorer (press the Windows key and the E at the same time), navigate to your MuVo (it will probably be Dri've E or F, depending on your computer) and then drag & drop music from your Music Library to various folders in your MuVo.
You can create new folders in the MuVo (right click-> create New Folder and then re-name them as you like) and then organize your music by Artist, Album, Genre or whatever your preference is.
If you want to transfer tracks from your Zen MicroPhoto to the MuVo, it's probably best to back up your tracks from the ZMP to your Music Library and then connect the MuVo and transfer the tracks you want from your Music Library to the MuVo. I've never tried to do it from one .mp3 player to another.

  • MuVo N200 Media Explorer still there after uninstall

Heres a picture of it http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/228/creativefc0.jpg

Usually applications like these have their own uninstallers, either build into the installer ( ! ) itself or as a separate uninstaller app. Check the site of the software provider for instructions.

  • MuVo V100 Prob

Hello,?I have had the Creative MuVo V00 for quite a few months now. Up till very recently, I have been having no problems with it until now.
I added some new songs to?a folder?and when I play the folder on the Mp3?it skips?the songs completely and I am not able to find them!?However, it'sworks perfectly fine on the computer. At first I put?them in a folder?(which already had songs in it before)?under 'Root' and then?I moved all of them under 'Library B'. It still skips the same songs in both folders when I try playing it. Another problem is that sometimes, the order of the folders under 'Root' change. If anyone has solutions to these problems, I would be very grateful!

I don't think that the MuVo series can address sub folders [folders within other folders].
I save albums in separate folders on my computer and then drag an entire album folder to my MuVo, so I'll usually have 6 or more folders at a time in my 52 Mb MuVo.
You could do it as playlists too- a group of songs in each folder, but I don't think that the MuVo can access a folder inside another folder, because of file structure limitations.

  • Order of tracks in MuVo V100

My MuVo V00 currently plays the tracks of an album in alphabetical order, not in the order of the album. How do I change this? The tracks have been ripped by using MuVos own program.

I have a Zen NanoPlus, which I think uses the same folder format as a Muvo. You have to have your files labled with a track number, such as "0-Crush.wma". Again, I'm assuming the Muvo is similar to the Nano (it used to be pretty much identical). To fake a playlist, you do the same thing in appending the filename with an additional number, such as "0-04-Born in the USA.wma" . Creative used to have a utility that did this for you but I lost it long ago. You could drag the files around in a "playlist" and it would rename them for you, thereby keeping the order you wanted. Jump in here anybody on this one---my memory is failing. It was about 3 years ago I used that.
UPDATE---this was bugging me so I did a search. Apparently, the included Zen Media Explorer software contains this feature (although I use a version of that now and no longer recall this feature being available. I DID, however, find an old post and link by SSR about "Reorganize", a freeware application that looks as though it should solve this issue. The screenshot looks similar to an old Rio manager program I used to use for playlists on that device (before I gave that old Rio to my son as a mobile replacement for his Zen Micro---his HD crashed once and was repaired under extended warranty but he is now afraid of a hard-dri've based player---me too---my Zen Touch died last week for no apparent reason).
I now have my older NanoPlus and a brand-new Zen. I have to say I still like that little Nano, as you can't beat the convenience of a AAA battery when not home. I had a flight attendent comment on how small it was once. The biggest drawback, though, is the playlist issue. Maybe this "Reorganise" will solve that. Haven't tried it yet, but the download link is still there......http://www.oli'ver-frietsch.de/reorganize/index.php?lng=en

  • Muvo V100 "no music&qu

I have downloaded about songs onto my Muvo v00. I can play them on my computer, but when I attempt to play the songs through the Muvo it says "No Music". I can go through all the settings, options, etc the player has , but I can see no music.
The music & a playlist are shown on the PC & in media explorer. Have reloaded the tracks & can play them on my computer, but still get ?"No Music" when I use it as an MP3 player. Can anyone help.

All are MP3 & were transferred from my Zen Sleek to the PC. Bought the Muvo as the Sleek's battery will not last a 20 hour flight so needed a second MP3 player to carry. Even checked the software with Creative's Auto update, it is the latest.

  • Muvo V100 Won't Connect - How do I install the driver alone? Where on the disk is

First of all, I've read through the FAQ, etc., the Creative Knowledge Base, searched the forum, and read the manual, etc. and I cannot find an answer.
In short, all I want to do now is try installing the Muvo V00 driver alone to see if that fixes my problems with the PC not fully recognizing and communicating with the Muvo V00. And then maybe try using it on a friend's PC to see if it works. I'd have done that already except the friend li'ves quite some disctance. If that doesn't work, this thing is going back and I'm not sure I even want to try an exchange.
I'd be very appreciati've of any help you can provide. Thanks!
    My tale of woe:
I have a Windows XP Home PC and I cannot get the PC to fully recognize the existence of the Muvo V00. I've installed and uninstalled the software (Creative Media Explorer and Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer and I guess the driver) several times and the PC doesn't recognize the existence of the Muvu V00. I follow the installation instructions exactly and it just doesn't work.
I have tried using the Muvo V00 after uninstalling the software, and the PC recognizes that a "mass storage device" is attached, but it won't provide a dri've letter until I try to "Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device". And during the Safely remove process, which strangely gives me an hourglass for many minutes, it finally runs the Autoplay routine, but that gives an hourglass and never finishes and I have to cancel it. And then the "Safely remove routine" finally comes back and safes it can't be safely removed, try later, even though no other applications are accessing the Muvo V00. Then, surprisingly, the PC displays a dri've letter for the USB Mass Storage Device (the Muvo V00), but when I try and access it, all I get is an hourglass.
By the way, I'm in Information Technology so I somewhat know what I'm doing. So far, tech support has been less than helpful and has only provided a link to the Knowledge Base!

I have the same problem with my new Muvo V00. Before installing, I tried turning off all antivirus and every program I could think to turn off that I usually have running. My computer refused to recognize the Muvo V00. I called customer service, they sent me directions to do a clean install. This involves editing the things that load with windows so that nothing interferes with the installation. I tried that. (Now I get a nice boot up message asking if I want to load windows or go to the Restore utility.)
I found information in the Creative knowledge base about permissions. So, tried editing the permissions to the USB and USBSTOR. After everything I tried, either my computer would recognize the Muvo for a few seconds and then forget it existed, or my computer acted like I hadn't installed it in the first place. I've gotten the dri've letter after one reboot and lost the whole thing on the next reboot. The Creative software either didn't find the Muvo, or if it did, it froze when I tried to access the device from the menu.
I've used restore points to revert my computer to before installation, and tried reinstalling. I tried updating my bios (which got it to recognize the Muvo for the longest time ... about an hour. Then, my computer froze.
I tried downloading the dri'ves for the NOMAD as was suggested here. But that didn't work either. First, I got the message that I had newer drivers on my machine and the whole installation program closed. (Uninstalling the drivers and using the downloaded ones didn't work either.)
The weirdest thing is that my friend's computer recognized the device immediately. AND my computer fully recognizes her Muvo TX--even the creative software recognizes it perfectly!!
I'm at a loss. If my friend wanted to trade devices, all would be well. But she loves her TX.
Before I realized that my friend's Muvo TX works perfectly, I was convinced that my Windows XP was corrupted or something. Apparently, it's not.
If anyone can give me any advice or help (there might be something out there that I haven't tried), I'd appreciate it. The thing is that the V00 was a gift. I'd hate to have to ask for the receipt to return it, but that's what I may end up having to do.
Good luck to all with similar problems.

  • Problem with MuVo V100 "No Music&qu

My son got a Creative MuVo V00 GB as a gift a month ago. It was easy to put music on it. I loaded about 50 songs for him and he enjoyed listening to them. Then I tried to add another few songs for him and all seemed to be fine. Then he said all of the sudden he had "no music". When powering on the player it says "No Music". I can't for the life of me to get anything to work on it now. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help. My little boy is antsy for his player to work again.

Do you have the music still on your pc If so, then reconnect the player to the pc and see if the music shows up on the player in Windows Explorer. The best idea to get music on the player is to create some folders on the hard dri've, copy music into them, then drag and drop the folders into the player.

  • MuVo TX FM memory prob

HELP! I just bought a Muvo 52mb TX FM. I converted my mp3's to WMA format to reduce the size so it can play more songs. When I tried to load 480mb worth of WMA music I was only able to move 228mb worth. Properties show I still have 267mb of free space but I get an error when adding even more file. Since then I loaded the lastest firmware and still no luck. Any suggestions?

Hi, Did you just transfer them straight in as files, not in folders or anything? - if it works in the same way as my Muvo N200, (from the product specs I think it does) there's a limit to how many files you put in the root directory like that. You have to put them in folders first and then transfer the folders onto the player as if they were files. This can either be done just by copy and paste of folders into your 'muvo tx fm media explorer' directory in 'my computer' (just like the media explorer window was for a floppy disc), or folders can be created in media source. There's a step by step explanation of how to do this (with pictures) here.
Folders are really useful for organization too, as you call name them things like 'rock' or 'classical' etc. and then sort your tracks, or give them album names!
Of course if you've already done this, or your muvo works differently to mine, this will be no use to you, but just in case...

  • Lost CD of creative MuVo V100 2GB

I lost my CD of my MuVo V00 2GB. I need the Creative Media Explorer where you can transfer songs to the player and set the order of the songs. Is there a download for it's My firmware is .05.0e. I already looked here http://support.creative.com/Products...ame=MP3+Player but the software I need is not listed there.
    Thanks in advance

Re: Lost CD of creative MuVo V00 2GB8 The software is at FileSavr file hosting.
This is the creative labs software for the Muvo mp3 player. This version will work for Windows XP. I did not upload these to infringe on any copyrights, I uploaded them so that people who have lost their Muvo software for XP can reclaim it. The version of the software on this site is for Vista only.
    Here are the files:
    http://www.filefactory.com/file/a0456f/n/muvo_exe
    another version:
    http://www.filefactory.com/file/a045...o_software_nbi
The first is a winraw file. Put it on your hard dri've, extract, and it should install. The second version is for folks who have nero. Download it, burn it onto a CD, then instal it from the CD. Either way, if anyone finds this useful, I strongly suggest you burn a copy and save it for yourself. The files will only stay on the site as long as people keep downloading them. Once the files are gone from the site, that's it. I will not upload them again.

  • So is this MuVo V100 (2GB) de

I bought two of my boys each a MuVo stick just after Christmas last year (in January 2007), the older boy a 2GB model and the younger a GB). I'm referring not to the MuVo2, but to the little jobs that are basically USB dri'ves with a AAA battery.
They've been terrific players for them, but the older boy's 2GB model seems to be dead. He replaced the battery, and I've tried replacing it again ... to no avail. Device will not power on. When I plug the device into a computer's USB port, nothing happens, even though it used to work like a charm.
Don't know why it died so suddenly, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any advice on what I might be able to do with it before I rush right out and grab another one. According to what I'm reading here, these little buggers don't seem to have recovery mode.
    Thanks in advance,?-abs

Well, I tried the advice in the thread, and it *almost* works. The first time I plugged in the player, holding the button, I got the tell-tale "guh-GLUNK" sound XP plays when you plug in a USB device. It then installed and even gave me the pop-up: "STMP3500 installed and ready to use," (or whatever).
But it doesn't seem to want to *stay* installed. Nothing shows up in Device Manager or as a dri've in Explorer. Upon trying again, I can sometimes get it to recognize (with a "guh-GLUNK"), but it almost immediately UN-attaches itself (with the tell-tale reverse "GUH-glunk" sound).
I hate it, but I can't think of much else to do. I've tried a dozen times.

  • Muvo v100 and wmp

I have a problem, went to use wmp to transfer some more songs onto my Muvo and it would up taking 20 songs off. What do I need to do to keep this from happening again? I got mad and used my creative thing to transfer, but I like using wmp for it being easier to use.

Why not just use Windows Explorer to transfer/manage your MuVo?
Hold the Windows key and tap the E key, drag & drop the files you want to your MuVo.
Be sure that you have more than [the Root] Folder too, as there is a filename limitation of about 30 tracks on many Flash dri've players.
