Muvo V200 not supported anymo

H to all and Happy Christmas :-),
I've just received a Muvo V200 Gbyte for present. I haven't seen it on the page. I've seen the Muvo N200 which looks similar but with more features. Is the Muvo N200 similar to the V200 or have I received a procuct which is not going to be updated in the future :-/?. If the Muvo V200 is similar to the N200 I presume the firmware will be nearly the same, Am I wrong?

The two products are very similar (they were both launched around the same time), just with a slightly different feature set. More detail here.
Only Creative know what the plans are for each player in terms of updates.

CREATIVE MUVO V200 & Language Support!!! UNACCEPTABLE

Hi there!
This is my first post and it's a complaint one!
Well I just bought MUVO V200 for a local store here in Greece .
After a while with TERROR I REALIZED that it didn't support properly Greek filenames in my songs!!!
I FIND THIS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
Well it is obvious from Creative's side that as a Greek resident I would have many Greek songs.
And they sell me a device that cannot properly show their names!!!Unacceptable!!!!
And I don't think that it is too hard to support them with a new firmware . They already have accomplished too fit so many things in this little device and that's the problem?
I have already sent an email to Creative and I'm waiting for an answer.
And I hope it's a good one!

MuVo V200: subdirectories supported,click on every player

I would like to know if the MuVo V200 supports subdirectories and if it does, how many levels (is it limited?)
My second question concerns the ?click? and ?backlight buzz?problems, which are discussed in other forum threads: does this occur in every player or are there any people who own it and have not experienced this problem?

I have a N200 with the latest FW, I ear 2 pops/clicks in the beginning of each track.
There are also pops/clicks everytime I skip to next/previous track.

Lenovo V200 does not support 1920x1080 resolution

I have a Lenovo V200 (0764-33G) with a LG W2343T external monitor attached which has a native resolution of 1920x1080. For some reason this resolution is not supported by the notebook. It is not a chipset issue as the Intel GM965 chip does support 1920x1080 and I have a number of other notebooks from other vendors with the same chipset that display perfectly on identical external monitors. It cannot be a performance issue becuase the display settings on the V200 allow me to select a resolution higher than 1920x1080.
According to various posts on the internet, this is a BIOS issue. For some reason 1920x1080 is excluded at a BIOS level. Is this indeed the case?
I have updated the BIOS to version 65ET60WW and have installed the latest drivers from Intel without any success...
Is there a fix for this, or has anyone been able to solve the problem?

you might have already seen my other post regarding this issue.
I came to the same conclusion as you did, that this is BIOS related. But as you, I couldn't find an explanation or confirmation.
However, I found a way to circumvent this restriction. See the above mentioned post.

My Muvo V200 Does Not Star

Hi I am a computer developer and an expert Programmer, I Wanted to Upgrade My MP3 Player's firmware but my computer went off in the middle!! then my mp3 player turned off and now it is not getting recognized by the computer and i can not turn it on! if there is any maintainance program which can force my player to freshen it's program tell me so.
AND ABOUT THAT FIRST REPLY:
But, I AM NOT A NORMAL USER!!!! I AM AN EXPERT PROGRAMMER!! and i know a lot about these stuff! just if there is a cure tell me! Somebody else have got this either and he has a note:
"I once had a similar problem with my <FONT color=#cc0000>Creative MuVo V200 Flash MP3 Player. It worked, but I chose to "upgrade" its firmware and due to a bad USB connection it wouldn't boot up later. It didn't even show up as a USB storage device when connected."
Looks like his problem has been fixed! Please help me! i need help instantly, because i need my player now.

If the firmware download was interrupted unfortunately the only way to fix the player is directly reprogramming the ROM, which is beyond what a user can do. You'll most likely have to pay for Creative to repair the player.

The new Ovi Suite not supporting Lotus Notes anymo...

MuVo V200 C

My MuVo V200 just broke and now I see that there the one part is only fixed on _three very little_ points to the other part (I'm talking about the frontside and backside of the player/stick part). Do you have an explanation for this?!

I am having a similar experience in nature... my daughter realised that her v200 had a 'Crocodile Mouth" at one side, upon curious which I am glad relected from a "Teen', she realised that the mouth can easily be stretched quite wide, afraid that it may conveniently allows water entry, she had called Tech Support, replied is to bring the device to them for review.
I believe she "WAS' glad when they said so, but all is changed now as she had came to understand that nothing bought can be returned easily... they first conveniently claim that she might had dropped (as she honestly admitted she did dropped it once) and blamed the splitting mouth to the droppage... I had later phoned in to clarify that the incident occurred in my carpetted office location...
Then they suggested that they are willing to let her purchase a brand new set after taking back her ex v200 @ $45.00.. I later called them to explain my mathematical understanding that to take my device and topped up $45.00 means to say they are taking my device back, recondition it and sell it brand new while still making another $45.00 from me (The Sucker).. They then say that it is for documentation fees instead.. I then suggest looking at their warrantee obligation to us which was published publicly.. they argue that there are small prints that they are unable to show to public with regards to qualification to an exchange for faulty equipment, I requested but Creative had conveniently declined...
Anyway, I do not wish to create an issue over a PEANUT matter.. I would like to suggest that Creative at least publish clauses accordingly in order to educate users on the gray area of your warrantees... Service center was busy when my daughter visited in the afternoon... your staff should be more professional as my matter took 4 hours to conclude...
Very interestingly, Creative had took my device in for "FORENSIC" investigation, this is to prove that the device had came to this state under abnormal usage... this of cos will not be immediate as expected...
I will await patiently as I think the Technical Support had lost total cool in handling the matter when she starts leaving behind her name "Huitin" and Serial Number "05xxxx" and telling me to file official complaint if I am not happy with the handling methods.. maybe good professional staffs are really difiicult to come by...

Muvo V200, it's broken

Hi all,
I have a Muvo V200 buyed in December 2005. One day it was doing its work...the day after, when i plugged it in my laptop USB port it started to go crazy!
The OS find my muvo V2oo but after second a message say it has been removed. Then a new message says the muvo is plugged in, and a second after the same message says the muvo v200 is removed....so long.
What can i do?

Have you try updating the firmware? If not, give it a try first. If all else fail, you need to get in touch with Customer Support.

MuVo V200 FAT32 vs. FAT/FAT16 (and VFA

I have just bought the MuVo V200 and it has firmware version .0.03e which I believe supports
FAT32 even thought the manual (out of date?) says it does not support FAT32.
Anyhow, are there any advantages of using FAT32 over FAT, since GB is not a massi've storage
space and I think therefore that FAT is probably better suited to the MuVo V200?
Also, by FAT does Creative mean FAT6? And furthermore, do they mean VFAT(?), (virtual FAT6)
which does support long filenames etc
Finally, I see some people have had their MuVos *freeze* on them; this is the worst news ever
and I do not want that to happen to me ever! So, is formatting to FAT32 more likely to cause
the unit to freeze? (or less likely? or no difference?)

If you've already tried a format (several times) and a firmware reload, then it's likely there is a hardware problem with the player. It would be best to contact Customer Support for assistance.

I wanted to know the cost in order to change display from a MUVO V200 GB . This is in Warranty. The horrible creative technical support support does not answer me to the email that I have sent. You say to me to know like proceeding for knowing a cost and in order to send it.

Have you tried phoning Support?
Why not just take it back to where you bought it from and get a new one? Let the shop deal with Creative.

Petition: Programable play mode for MuVo V200 (and posibly othe

I would like to suggest ti include a programable play mode for MuVo V200 (and N200), I mean, a a play mode wich the user could select one-by-one songs on the MuVo and then the MuVo play those songs in the given order.
Creative may implement this by introducing virtual folders, folders that only contains references to the stored songs, so user could use the existing diferent play modes over those folders.
I think there's no technical reason that avoids this feature, but I know it may be not simple.

PD: Oh, of course I suggest Ogg Vorbis support, I don't care if my battery stands half time (WMV do it also, but no so hard), but I know Creative don't like Ogg Vorbis

MuVo V200 and the M-P

Hi,
I just bought the V200 a few days back. Since i have the Creative T7700 speakers, I was wondering if could connect the V200 to the M-Port connector on the T7700 remote.
Well, actually I already tried to do it - the player powers on, seems to play normally (there is sound coming from the earphones), but there is no sound coming from the speakers.
Does anyone have any idea how I could get it to play on the speakers? It would be really nice if it was possible to play Mp3s without turning on the PC.
The T7700 quick start guide states, that the M-Port is compatible with such players as Muvo NX (which is not much different from the V200), but there is no word in the V200 manual about the M-Port. Thanks in advance!

V200 does not support M-Port. What I can suggest is have the player connected through the line in of the speaker volume control pod.

Muvo V200 battery cover's tab l

Hi from Spain,
I've lost the battery cover's tab of my Muvo V200. I've read that Creative has a service in USA were they can supply some spare parts. Anyone knows which is the situation in Europe?. I can't use my Muvo without the this part and is frustrating, 30 euros to the bin, and a wonderful player, for a piece of white plastic.

First of all many, many thanks for your help :-D. I will call the phone number today and I hope I get a positi've response. I plan to buy some items from the creative shop for my lovely Zen Micro (I like Creative products, you know, Sound Blaster, EMU, Creative cam... :-)). I was held by this incident though. Why? no one wants a product that is difficult to get spare parts for, at least not me. I trust Creative and I hope their customer support is as good as their products or as their comunity :-D.
