Muvo2 FM Equaliz

Does the Muvo2 FM have an equalizer like the 4GB muvo2? If it does is it only predefined or are there user made ones available?
Also is there any other difference between the 4GB and 5GB models other than voice recording, FM tuner (neither things i really want) and a different harddri've? The specs pages show nothing else different except the FM doesn't mention an equalizer. Is the FM more robust or have any major upgrade to the 4GB model?

The MuVo? 5GB player comes with 4 preset EQ and custom user define EQ. The 4 preset EQ are Rock, Pop, Jazz and Classical. The custom EQ consists of a 4 band +2 to -2

Setting Equalizer for more than one song at a time

Is there any way to set the equalizer setting for more than one song at a time. For example, if I have a classical music album with 10 songs, can I set the equalizer for "classical" for all 10 songs at once? It's a pain to have to do it for each one individually. I tried using the "shift" key, but to no avail.

highlight all the songs you want then right click and go to get info. in the options tab at the top there is an equalizer preset option.

How do I get a sound equalizer on Windows 7?

I have a MacBook Pro late 2011 running Boot Camp Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Now, when the built in speakers are playing sound, it runs just fine. When I plug in my speakers (Creative with Subwoofer), the bass basically shakes the entire house. I can barely hear anything above the subwoofer. What I want to do is get a graphic equalizer working with the sound card so that I can just turn down the bass. I can't find any graphic equalizer configuration in Windows. I searched for graphic equalizers for Win 7 online and it was extremely complicated. I'm completely at a loss on what to do. If somebody could explain this to me, that would be wonderful.
Specs on the hardware: Cirrus Logic CS4206B (headphones and speakers). AMD HDMI Output (no clue what that is or how to use it). Digital Audio (S/PDIF) - no clue how to use that either.
I'm guessing that the Cirrus Logic is the one I want a graphic equalizer for. That's all I need: just to lower the bass system-wide. If anyone can help me do this, it would be tremendously appreciated.

I was trying to update my iTunes version and my computer prompted me to uninstall Apple Mobile device support and iTunes. I incorrectly uninstalled (in the wrong order) the apple support programs and now it wont let me uninstall iTunes. I tried to download iTunes again and it wont let me do that either. I tried to just delete iTunes by taking the whole file to the recycle bin, and i still have the same problem. I also tried to restore my computer to an earlier setting, but it couldnt reinstall the Apple support programs that i incorrectly uninstalled. HELP!

E63 & E71- Music player's equalizer does not work ...

I would advise to all the owners of the E71 and E63 that Nokia disenable the equalizer of the music player when you put the headphones in appliances. After updating the unit note that the equalizer only works with the sound of the speaker and the equalizer does not work with the headphones anymore.
I ask you to please click the link below and make their complaints about this new firmware that "destroys" the equalizer for the music player that Nokia fix this terrible problem!

Oh my. That is a big problem. Fortunately for me, I don't use the equalizer so it doesn't really affect me all that much. But still, I have no idea how they could just randomly break something like that.

Like i said, it used to be immediately visible. I added a different audio source a while ago, that source stopped working with the last couple updates of iTunes, and suddenly i realize the Equalizer is nowhere to be found when i click on "View". Thanks for any help you can offer. ~Mike

Equalization and Symbol Rate

Despite my number of posts on this board...I swear that I am happy with my NI devices....
I noticed a peculiar thing today. I am using some of the example programs to do some channel characterization. The investigation is meant to be relatively simple. I am using no baseband filtering, and since my transmitter and receiver are static I desire no equalization (in fact, right now, the up and down converters are connected via a short SMA as I do some "sanity checks".)
I am interested in utilizing as much of the 20MHz real time bandwidth as possible...so I went into the transmitter code (for example, the PSK Generate.VI located in the Modulation Toolkit Example folder) and hardwired 20MHz in for the bandwidth. With no baseband filtering, the original code determines BW by scaling the symbols/sec by some number (10 I think) which would limit the symbols/sec to 1MSym/sec.
Anyway...with my 20Mhz BW...I set the symbol rate at 100kHz. Using the PSK Demod VI in the same example directory, I observe the constellation and other measurements. No problems here. 1Mhz symbol rate....OK. Increase to 5Mhz...a little noisier, but OK. Higher than that (say 10MHz symbol rate) and the MER and EVM start going way up. Note that this is independent of the scheme (BPSK, QPSK, 8-PSK...whatever).
I noticed that if I then turn on equalization (on both the Tx and Rx sides of course), that the MER and EVM goes way down....especially at the high symbol rates.
So my question....I thought equalization was only necessary if the channel response changes over time (multi-path,etc.). Why then would equalization improve things when the symbol rate gets higher? Is it possible I'm seeing the frequency/phase offset of the upconverter and downconverter LO's? Or, maybe I'm just approaching the limit of the hardware and the equalization routines actually help clean up non-idealities of the hardware at those rates? For the channel I'm characterizing, I am actually interested in seeing the effect of potential multipath, so I'd rather not use the equalization routines at this time. Maybe I'm looking at having to make a tradeoff here?

Hello Brandon,
The behavior you are seeing is expected. The equalization filter is used to correct the amplitude and phase of the signal so that after it passes though the 5610 you have a flat passband. There is a section of the RFSG help called IF Response and Software Equalization and it can be found under Devices >> NI 5671 Overview >> Advanced Topics >> IF Response and Software Equalization.
I copied the typical magnitude response of the 5610 upconverter with the equalization filter disabled (upper graph) and with it enabled (lower graph) from the manual. You can see it below. I hope this answers your question.

Static at 16k on equalizer?

Alright I use pretty high grade headphones. I have them plugged into my reciever. When I watch a movie and a quiet scene comes up I hear static. It stands out alot. I played around with equalizer and it was at 16k. I turn it down and static goes down. I own a titanium x-fi pci-e and am using the optical port.

You can use the build_static tag supplied with the demo Makefile.

Looking for an app that combines an equalizer with video out.

I'm looking for an app that has video out (like "Upsize" or the iPod built-in photo slideshow) with an equalizer (preferably like "Denon Audio" or "EQ Pro" so that I can listen to equalized music through my TV. Upsize is close, as it allows for album art to be displayed on my TV while the music plays however, it does not control volume and you must use the iTunes equalizer before you start the app. My TV is the type that will not play audio without an accompanying video signal when using a component cable to connect my iPod to the TV inputs.

Looking for an equalizer app

After a few Android phones i still love the iPhone. i have learned that the iPhone has preset EQ and one can "choose" an EQ for a song before uploading them.
In my opinion and basing on articles and reveiws more and more phones have better audio than the iPhone like Dolby Mobile and SRS audio, etc. but is there an equalizer app to actually further improve the audio of the iPhone? i like music and i like my songs to really sound good on my in-ear buds.

If you really like your music to sound good on your buds just leave the EQ alone. The engineer and producer had very expensive equipment at their disposal to get just the mix they wanted to make a really excellent sounding album. A $3 app won't match it.
But, if you insist, try EQu in the app store.

MuVo2 not uploading playli

My new MuVo2 does not seem to upload playlists which have been created in Mediasource. Also, in the'sources' window on media centre software (V2.03.29) there is no player 'icon', and no settings button to go into - thus I can't configure to upload playllists and files within them & create directories - as explained in the Mediasource HELP file.
So far the only way I can get my ripped CD's to play tracks in the correct order is to just drag & drop folders of the album name (with the tracks within) across to the root directory of my MuVo2. Unless I do this, all the tracks just upload in alphabetical order !

I have a MuVo 2 and use Mediasource software.
When creating playlists (in the usual way following instructions), I end up with a separate folder in my actual player lists that duplicates the playlist title and contents - if I delete it off, the playlist content disappears, but having another folder takes up valuable space.
Can anyone tell me if this is a regular feature or if I am doing something wrong when creating playlists?

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Software Issue: Volume Control, Speaker Settings, Equalizer, C

I installed my ZS Platinum back in December, everything worked fine for 2 months, then I started to hit trouble.
First, the driver began hanging when I took my headphones in/out, resulting in no sound from either output. I updated the drivers and this problem went away.
Then, I was gaming and all the sound stopped working. Reboots did nothing, so I tried to reinstall the drivers. This is how the problems began. The first time I uninstalled all my creative stuff, downloaded the newest drivers, and installed that. I didn't realize that I couldn't download all the bells and whistles off the drivers page.
So, I unistalled those drivers, and used my CD to install the drivers and MediaSource. I encountered the PLXcore.plx error during install and every time I booted Windows. Also, none of the extra applications (Volume Control, Speaker Settings, Graphic Equalizer, CMSS) would run. I uninstalled, reinstalled and tried again.
This is where I am now. I chose not to install MediaSource this time. Again, I encountered the PLXcore.plx error during install, but I'm not receiving the error when Windows boots (because I didn't install MediaSource?). But still, most of the little applications don't run. I see the Volume Control icon in my task bar, and if I press the mute button on the keyboard the symbol changes, but when I click on the icon, nothing happens. "Creative Volume Con..." flashes on the taskbar, and a 0px by 0px white box appears above the task bar. If I click anywhere else, they disappear. The Graphic Equalizer, Speaker Settings, and CMSS dialog do the same thing when opened. THX Console does not.
Also, the on screen display for volume no longer pops up. Is this part of MediaSource? Should I install MediaSource even if I don't plan to use it's

EDIT: Thought I'd add in another problem I have:
I usally run my DISH reciever's sound through my computer through the Auxillary 2 RCA connections on my front panel. When I boot World of Warcraft or Warcraft III (Both Blizzard games), the sound through this connection becomes very tinny and reverby. If I alt+tab out of the game, adjust the speaker setting (5. -> Headphones -> 5.) the issue goes away. But each time I start one of these games, the problem returns. Any ideas? I'm sorry I can't help but I have the exact same problem. I have no Speaker, EAX or graphic eq settings. No telling what else don't work. I have tryied 0 different ways of removing and loading it back with any and all updats and without and no success. I hope someone here can help us.

Equalizer button no longer available after upgrade to iTunes 7

With iTunes 6, there was always a button at the bottom of the iTunes window to toggle on & off the Equalizer. With iTunes 7, the button is gone. Now, the only way to activate it is to choose "Show Equalizer" from the View menu. There isn't even a shortcut key to toggle it.
Am I missing something, or was this an oversight that slipped in during the UI redesign?

When I got this new PC I did a complete audit. I found that this was kenotify.exe at startup.
Different info I found on the internet say it is essential to the functioning of FN.
I also noticed that when I press the FN apuie it generates no code. I have a small java script code returns me all the keys pressed on the keyboard.
I am surprised that the FN will work for you while you do not have this executable.
