MVC: Multiple Gridviews/Webgrids on a single screen

Hi Gurus, 
I am new to MVC and trying to learn development here.
I want to add multiple webgrids on a single web page. for example
I have a got an entity Order. I need to show three different lists of orders on the dashboard. Open, Submitted & Finalized orders. 
Also, need to show a list of Order Templates that would come from a separate entity.
How is that possible? I know how to do it in ASP.Net but could get started with this in MVC Razor.

  • How to show multiple dynamic tables on a single screen?

    right now im displaying alv for singlr attribute of dimension.
    eg for dimension PRODUCT attribute PROFITCENTER im displaying in alv when user executes it.
    but the requirement is that multiple attributes can be there so multiple tables is to be displayed on a single screen.
    User basically wants to see data of all attributes. if there are 10 attributes hee wants to see 10 tables as every attribute has a different table.
    what i have achieved is below in snapshots. only one attribute table PRODUCT im able to display. since i believe multiple headers cant be displyed in alv so even if i display multiple dynamically populated tables on a single screen then it will be fine.

    Yes you can, although you need to do it slightly differently, depending on what your 'original' form is doing.
    You end up having to do two things:
    1. In your second tabular form, you need to explicitly identify the relevant form fields using calls to the relevant APEX_ITEM functions - as well as this, you need to 'manually' specify the array number in the arguments for the function call, ensuring it doesn't overlap with your original form. Normally, this aspect is done for you.
    2. Create your own custom CRUD processes, referencing the above elements. There are a few threads floating around the forum relating to how to deal with this. Do a search for "APEX_APPLICATION.G_F" or "HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F" for pointers.

  • Setting up multiple event videos on a single screen

    I love the concept of multiple short video presentations being selected an playing off a single screen, but I've run into a seemingly simple issue that I can't figure out. My procedure has been as follows:
    create a basic three second slide
    add multiple F4Vs to the screen and hide them. (none of the available skins have a "close" or "exit" button on them)
    set up each video to display for the rest of the slide and check the "pause slide until end of video" box
    create buttons for each video using the "Show" action.
    At this point, the videos all operate perfectly and the playbar attached (currently haloSkin3) are tabbing very nicely - but when a selected video ends, I can't close it - there's no button on the playbar to re-hide it/close it and stay on the same slide.
    I know I can develop seperate mini-projects containing individual sychronized videos and pile them all in my SCO, but I'm hoping for a more elegant solution than having multiple pop-up windows.
    Probably not seeing the forest for the trees, but that's why I am reaching out here!

    Please try this:
    1) Add a button or a smart shape (use it as a button) on the video.
    2) Click on the video and press CTRL key from keypad and click on the button or the smart shape (which was added on the video).
    3) Right click on them and create a Group. (This will create a group of video and the button which was added on it)
    4) Click on the button which you are using to show the video and change the action to show the group.
    5) Click on the button which was added on the video and select the action to hide the group.
    This may help you in showing the video with the exit button and you can exit the video also. You can change the name of the button accordingly.

    You can do this by creating 2 custom controls on the layout of the screen, and then you will also need to create 2 custom containers in your ABAP program, 1 for each ALV.

  • How do I view multiple desktops/Spaces in a single screen?

    I'm used to viewing a large TV with multiple desktops simultaneously in an operating room. I'm wondering if it's possible to separate a TV I have connected to my early 2011 MacBook Pro into four separate desktops (e.g. dividing the TV into 4 quadrants)? I'm assuming there's no legitimate workup using OS X Yosemite but it'd be great to know if anyone has done this before. Thanks.

    I'd like to run several /.mov/mp4 files simultaneously on a single screen to simulate a 360deg view.
    If I start 5 cameras filming simultaneously (front, back, left, right,  rover), I'd like to sync the files, then combine the video on a single screen in large crossed  thumbnails/2"X2" format.   For example; Top, Bottom, Left, Right, Center images...
    How can this be done in Premier...?...and then exported to a standard format...?

    When I did this type of shot before I had to do some tricky stuff....and the hardest part for me was keeping me from shooting the other cameras and those other camera operators, not to mention trying not to see all those reflections of cameras and everything in the car, especially when I flew over the roof on wire !  Eventually I got it done but I had to basiscally use space lights with skirts and diffusion and then tent the car off with silk ( this was in a large football field sized stage )...and then put little holes in the silk for the "lenses"...and then hire a lot of people to walk that silk around as the cameras all dollied on track with the movement of the silk...  took forever to get the shot but it was beautiful if you squinted.

    ps...I when I edited this just like you want to do, with a lot of simutaneous screens within the frame, it looked so 3 dimensional people actually lost their balance watching it !

  • Multiple pages that edit a single row

    I have searched on tabs and editing a single row using multiple pages and I am confused. I don't want to use java as I am trying to not learn that too...
    What I am trying to do sounds like it has been explained before but let me do this again...
    I have a record that is too large to fit on a single screen. This makes for a cumbersome entry process. The record is actually broken into four "logical" chunks. Main, Sub1, Sub2 and Sub3.
    I have made a list that will allow the record to be selected and call the first logical page... L1.
    I have made tabs that show all the pages and allow me to navigate between them quickly.
    When I get to L1 all the data is there. I may not change any data on that page and go directly to L2 through L4. However the record is not brought forward onto those pages. So the pages are not related (and I don't have the terminology right I know :) and I could "link" the pages. So here is what I would like the application to do;
    1. Display a list and allow the user to select the record to edit.
    2. Upon edit go to the first page (tab).. this works
    3. Allow the user to select a tab and the page displays the data for the record selected
    4. Allow the user to complete the edits and save the record. Upon save the user is returned to the list in step 1.
    I was thinking there are several ways to do it... but I was hoping someone could save me a bunch of trial and error (emphasis on the error) ...
    1. When navigating off the page save the record, pass the key and re-read the record... ugly huh?
    2. Pass all the session data for the record over to the next screen. Is that possible? e.g pxx_field1 = pyy_field1
    The the question was does a template with two level tabs keep the record data between tabs?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I think this works... kinda
    1. I have a "list" that allows the selection of the item to edit.
    2. That list opens a page that is the "header" page for a tab set.
    3. Each page in the tab set uses the same "ID" to read the record and display the columns. That is how it would work if the list called each individual page.
    4. I modified the "slave" tabs to have the "ID" of the "header" page.
    This displays the correct data on each page. And it looks like the "apply changes" button saves the changes on the page.
    Caveats inlclude (I think as I haven't done exhaustive testing"
    1. "apply changes" must be done at each page where there were changes or they would be lost.
    2. The first dispaly of the page is blank. Clicking on the tab a second time displays the data. This is true if it is the first time a user selects a record in a session (the "slave" tabs are blank) or if it is a subsequent record update (the "slave" tabs have the last records data.
    Thoughts... is this really boring to everyone but me?

    The common features of report are column alignment, sorting, filtering, subtotals, totals etc. To implement these, a lot of coding and logic is to be put. To avoid that we can use a concept called ABAP List Viewer (ALV).
    This helps us to implement all the features mentioned very effectively.
    Using ALV, We can have three types of reports:
    1. Simple Report
    2. Block Report
    3. Hierarchical Sequential Report
    There are some function modules which will enable to produce the above reports without much effort.
    All the definitions of internal tables, structures and constants are declared in a type-pool called SLIS.
    1. SIMPLE REPORT.

    for the specified list type (column 'NAME'). For events to be processed by Callback, their 'FORM' field must be filled. If the field is initialized, the event is ignored. The entry can be read from the event table, the field 'FORM' filled and the entry modified using constants from the type pool SALV.

  • How do I get beyond the single screen of recent content in this forum?  There's no option for older pages.

    Adobe, your forum software is terrible.  And it differs from time to time and from product to product.  Until recently, I could scroll through multiple screens of new/newly modified posts by clicking on a "more" bar.  Now it's gone.  How do I go beyond a single screen?

    Nothing like requiring two clicks where one worked before.  And multiple clicks to back out, as well.  Plus, the discussion tab shows only highly compressed icons of each discussion, instead of a nice list.

  • Multiple Form Regions with a single Save button

    Hello,
    Is it possible to have multiple form regions on a single page, with a single Save button that commits changes in all form regions? If so, would the forms have to be manual forms?
    If that is not possible, or a bad way to go with APEX, what are my alternatives?
    I am trying to avoid the user having to click through many screens to input the data. Logically each section should be in a different table, but I would like to group some of the sections together to reduce the number of pages the users need to navigate to.

    Hi Johnnie,
    I assume that the tables are related somehow?
    If so, you can create a SQL View on the joined tables (making sure that you have a unique ID for each record in the view that can act as the Primary Key), base the form on that view and then use an INSTEAD OF trigger on the view to populate the individual tables.

    I was excited when I read the following:
    I fiddled with Apple's X11, which I'd installed on my Desktop, to no avail. Nowhere could I disable the screen-spanning behavior. On a hunch, I decided to try out XDarwin, however, and lo and behold --- a checkbox for enabling/disabling Xinerama! In addition, XDarwin seems to be better behaved than Apple's X11 when it comes to correctly sourcing some of my $HOME/.X* configuration files (e.g., I always had to run xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap manually under X11, even after putting the command in my .xinitrc).
    I only ever use Xquartz(currently XQuartz 2.6.0 (xorg-server 1.9.3)) which is Xdarwin now. But I do not see the mentioned checkbox for enabling/disabling Xinerama.
    Which sounds exactly like what I want to do. I want to have my macbook air(mba) to display full screen Xquartz on external 27" Dell monitor only. On the macbook screen I want to show the OSX desktop with open applications not blacked out by X11.
    Any pointers to this checkbox's location would be great. Or any other way to configure this setup would also be good.
    I'm not looking for solutions that keep the laptop monitor off in any way as I have seen suggested many times. This is because I want to use it to view state of other OS X apps on the macbook screen while working in full screen X session on the external monitor.
    The xnest solution sounds inferior for the same reasons pointed out by Michael C. Lee in the post I mentioned above.

    I believe you're correct in that I wouldn't be able to start the X server and have it only produce output on one of my monitors, as they are necessarily part of a single "display" (in OS X, at least). Barring that, however, I wanted to be able to at least keep X11 from creating a single screen that spanned both my monitors (the problem with this is that it doesn't recognize the separate monitor geometries, so large chunks of the virtual spanning screen were inaccessible, and it also made dealing with X apps that are none dual-head friendly a pain). On my linux machine, I was able to get this behavior by default (i.e., separate screens named '.0 and .1' under a single X display), and could get monitor spanning only after enabling the Xinerama extension.

                     I have one requirement to be completed , i need to send the out put of the report via mail in pdf format. for that what i did was, iam executing report in background and creating spool request and converting it to pdf and sending the file.
    now the problem is, its a customer ledger report, for each customer i need to create a new spool request and send mail to that particular customer, now my dought is how to create multiple spool requests for a single pro and how i need to go about it.
    And one more question is can we create a spool request for a report which is running in online.

    As per my knowledge for creating new spool id you will have to set
    output_options-tdnewid = 'X'.
    and then using
    job_output_info-spoolids
    create a pdf using
    call function 'CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF'

  • How can I combine multiple icloud calendars into a single published calendar?

    I have several calendars in Ical where I map my activities and schedules. Like many I need several calendars to categorise events.
    Now, I'd like others to see when I'm free and when I'm unavailable. For this, I'd need to find a way to copy multiple Icloud calendars into a single one for publishing - and the published calendar would also have to sync to any update I make in the original calendar.
    Any way to make this happen? Any third party app? Tried a couple - they were outdated and / or cumbersome.

    It worked - up to the crucial point: after combining icloud calendars into one "on the machine" calendar, the latter is ready for going public. But of course - this public calendar will only contain the .ics files and will not sync for updates from the icloud calendars.
    And that's what I want.
    If this problem is not possible to solve with the software available in the Mac - is there any known third party solution for this?
    (Apple: "smart calendars" please!)
