How does one customise the MVMapDecoration title bar ---?
One can specificy your own html string for the title, but that does not seem to have an affect on the Titlebar's background color , height of the Title Bar etc.

There shouldn't be a title bar visible in full screen mode.
You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

New Modern UI app titlebars misbehaving when using stylus (pen) on tablet

When switching from the desktop to a Modern UI app by tapping the corresponding taskbar button the new titlebar of Modern UI apps behaves differently depending on input method:
1. Finger: the titlebar is not shown at all (correct behaviour)
2. Mouse: the titlebar appears and stays for a few seconds (correct behavior)
3. Stylus: the titlebar will only appear for a second. In fact, as soon as tapping the taskbar button, the titlebar will be displayed at the top of the screen but instantly starts fading/moving out of the screen. Shortly after disappearing, the titlebar
is displayed again for a split second without any animation. This is visually contradicting with the fade out animation just before and creates a very irritating flickering of the titlebar.
Additionally, I'm not able to summon the titlebar again by moving the stylus to the top of the screen.
I don't think this behavior is correct. Either the titlebar should not be displayed at all (like with finger input) or it should stay there for a short duration to make the user aware of itself (like mouse input). Since the titlebar is in fact not usable with
a stylus (you can't get it to show again), going with the finger input way would be the quickest fix.
I'm using the built-in Wacom powered digitizer on an ASUS VivoTab Note 8.

Application switching/windows and titlebar problem

Apologies if this isn't the best place to post this, but it's a problem that relates to switching between applications in OS X, and I haven't yet found an answer through Director forums.
So... I am working on a (cross-platform) Director project that has to link to and open Word DOCs. I have a problem in OS X whereby when a DOC is opened, the Mac does not seem to be switching properly into Word. What happens is: click thumbnail (running handler to open DOC, using Buddy API xtra); Word starts to open the DOC; DOC window appears in front of projector Window, but the Mac titlebar seems to 'stick' in the projector. I can edit the DOC, use keyboard commands to save etc., but no menus are visible due to the 'ProjectorName.osx' title bar. I can switch to Word with Apple-tab, but not by clicking in the Word window(s).
A few extra notes:
• The projector resizes the screen to 800x600, but even with this feature disabled the problem persists.
• There appears to be a very strong link between creating a Full Screen projector and whether the problem manifests itself or not. All projectors created with Full Screen checked now have the problem (along with a few non-Full Screen). Unfortunately I need to lose any title/menu bar, therefore need to use Full Screen projectors.
• The problem has just arisen; essentially identical projectors (ie. differences are only in graphics) have run OK.
• We have used a couple of different xtras to open the files, for reasons unconnected with this issue. However we have been using BuddyAPI for a while, so I am reasonably sure that the problem is not related to this.
• Ensuring that unnecessary apps are closed, to ensure plenty of free memory, makes no difference.

That service is not important for a SAP system.

it is not supported to make changes to a domain structure after you installed the system (see the given note). That's why your SAP system is not coming up, all filesystem-, registry and user permissions are invalid.
The only way to resurrect your system is to reinstall it.
Configure first the operating system (as standalone or in a domain) - and then install the SAP system, not vice versa.

Is it possible to show the sequence name in Premiere Pro's window titlebar?

Currently the Premiere Pro titlebar displays "Adobe Premiere Pro" and the project file (ie. D:\Videos\2014-04-30 - PPK\_Project Files\PPK.prproj)
I was wondering if anybody knows a way to also display the name of the current sequence you're editing?
I use time tracking software to monitor my Premiere editing times and uses the tilebar name... so if the Premiere titlebar included the sequence name, I would know how long I spent editing a specific sequence in that project.

ITunes 7.4.3.1 skinned titlebar

Hey there
i just got a new Computer which is with Windows Vista....i installed the newest iTunes version.
Now when I'm starting iTunes the Titelbar is skinned like on MACs, I ricghclick there, choose Options nad reset the function "Skin your Titlebar". ok...after a few minutes, iTunes is like i know it.
But on new starting the Computer and starting iTunes, the titlebar is skinned....i hate it so =)....it's horrible...do you know the reason for it?
and...my Sound isn't as good as earlier....i have no bass....can you also help me?

Do you have an older version of multiplugin (for iTunes) installed on that PC? That can sometimes cause problems with skins after upgrading to a newer version of iTunes.

Cinnamon remove fullscreen titlebar

With various addons, settings and themes I cannot get rid of the damn titlebar in fullscreen applications like wine and some games (enemy territory).
Along with VLC fullscreen, Firefox YouTube fullscreen etc. are working fine.
On linuxmint etc. either noone seems to have these issues or doesn't care or there's a trick or workaround for this I don't know.
Am I the only one? Missing a setting or two?

Reproducable f.e. with (winetricks) 3DMark06
Some games work in (maybe real) fullscreen, some maximize a borderless window, but let a grey bar on top of the screen. Depending on game resolution even bigger/smaller.
Native (non-wine) Enemy Territory does the same btw. same issue with titlebar not hidden.
Currently using latest Cinnamon from official repos and nvidia 325.

Right-clicking titlebar halts Ethernet

I have an application that is receiving a stream of 19B messages over Ethernet at 12.8kHz. Within the 19B, I have a counter used to check integrity of the message ensuring I do not miss any messages. The stream works, and my application can process the information, but it is not robust. If any titlebar (from within my running application) is right-clicked, it causes the Ethernet traffic to stop for the duration of the click; ie. holding the right-button, the LEDs on my switch go solid instead of blinking. Because of the higher frequency, several messages are not received by my computer and the integrity counter is off, which sends a 'kill stream' message to the other device. There were occassional issues with moving the panels around, but I've turned off ATTR_MOVABLE and ATTR_CAN_MINIMIZE with SetPanelAttribute() for the panel that initiates the stream, and I hide all other panels, thus the only interactions that can be done to panel is click a command button to send a 'kill stream' message, or X (close) the panel, which also sends a 'kill stream' message.
I was hoping there was a simple SetPanelAttribute() call to remove the right-click pop-up menu from the titlebar, but I didn't see anything. I wonder if it's even possible because it seems to be Windows functionality.
After some searching, I wonder if using SetPriorityClass from WinBase.h is what I want to deal with, but I am not familiar with Win32 API stuff nor know much about threads, etc. If there's an easier method, I would very much be open to it.
I appreciate any insight, and can provide more information if required.

Are you using a timer? Then see here. In this case changing the priority class will not help, you would need two different threads (async timer callbacks execute in their own thread)

Titlebar on Solaris does not display Japanese characters

I have a Java Swing application (running on 1.6.0_06) that sets Japanese characters on the titlebar of Dialogs. The Japanese characters display correctly when the application runs on Windows but displays as ? when run under Solaris.
Details of the Solaris environment:
Japanese Solaris (UTF-8 encoding)
Japanese locale (ja_JP)
Using an X server that has the required font support (because Japanese characters display correctly everywhere except in the titlebar)
Using CDE as the session manager (and I think dtwn is the window manager used by CDE)
The funny thing is that the Japanese characters display correctly when I use the JDE session manager instead of CDE, so the problem exists only with CDE and the Open Look interface as well. I tried setting the required resources for WMShell too but that didn't work.
I seem to be missing some CDE configuration somewhere as the window manager is not able to figure out that the title is non-C locale.
Any pointers or help in this regard would be appreciated.

You're probably viewing the website in the wrong character set.
Try View > Character Encoding > some Japanese encodings, or UTF8 or 16
The website itself should specify the encoding. The default encoding - in Options > Content - is only used if the website doesn't specify an encoding. Maybe the website you're looking at specifies the wrong encoding.

Change the parameter in the titlebar

Hi Everyone,
I have pop up screen, where in it changes the titlebar accordingly on which grid it is. Now is it possible to pass a variable in the titlebar which keeps changing accordingly based on the columns of the grid.
Any help will be of great use to me.

Insert & in your titlebar, and then when you set it:
SET TITLEBAR 'XXX' WITH TITLE.
The system'll replace & with the value in TITLE.
So:
If .......
TITLE = ....
else.
TITLE = ....
endif.
SET TITLEBAR 'XXX' WITH TITLE.
If you want to manage more variable part, you can insert &1 &2 ... &5 in titlebar (I believe 5 is max, but i don't remember), and so:
SET TITLEBAR 'XXX' WITH TITLE1 TITLE2.....

Strange Panel titlebar Error in Flashbuilder4

I'm getting an error in Flashbuilder4 in the debug windows that says:
Main Thread (Suspended: ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property titleBar not found on mx.containers.Panel and there is no default value.)
But at the exact same time, in the same debugging session, in the expressions window, the object evaluates properly:
ctx.mainPanel.titleBar.height = 24 [0x18]
Panel.getHeaderHeight also fails. Is this a bug in Flashbuilder4?

I can't see it as human error if the expressions window correctly evaluates the value and the debug window reports that titleBar is not found on ctx.mainPanel in the same debug run. I can also reference other items on ctx.mainPanel without a problem.

A bug in Hide Caption Titlebar Plus (2.4.x) causes browser borders to toggle and window content to jump and no addon setting affects this. Can I do anything to fix this except disable the addon?

Hide Caption Titlebar causes the window content to be displaced when mousing over certain areas and controls. These areas includes mousing over the left window edge as well as leaving any control on the topmost area (buttons, location bar, search bar or tab).
When this happens the window content is shifted right and up, approx 10 and 5 pixels, respectively, and a border to be displayed around the full inside of the window area, overwriting existing contents, the border being thicker to the left and bottom, and thinnest to the top. This border disappears after about half a second and the content is shifted back to its original position.
This bug has followed me since FF4 and only disabling the addon makes the glitch go away.

[SOLVED] Buttons are missing in the titlebar with gtk-window-decorator

Hi, everyone.
Recently, I'd tried compiz as WM with gnome 3 in fallback mode. All work quiet good, but there is one thing, that slightly discourages me. I use gtk-window-decorator for frames and titlebar and the results are strange. Title bar is drawn with squared left and rounded right corners. Moreover, no buttons are shown on it. "Menu" and "Minimize" buttons are here, but invisible (they are working and corresponding tooltips are shown when I hover mouse over their position); "Maximize" and "Close" buttons are absent. All this buttons are turned on in metacity properties.
When I turn off metacity theme support for gtk-window-decorator, all buttons are here, but decorator in this mode is quiet dumb...
So, have you any suggestions on how to get those buttons back?

I'm having this problem under Ubuntu, but not with my Compiz (also 0.9.4) setup with GNOME 3 on Arch. I switched to Emerald on my Ubuntu install as a temporary workaround.
Thinking about it, I think I still had the gnome-desktop2 package installed when I built compiz-core, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Optional GNOME support is omitted in compiz-core if you upgraded to GNOME 3, because gnome-window-settings-2.0 (from the GNOME 2 gnome-control-center package I think) and gnome-desktop-2.0 are absent.
