MWI light still on

I have a 7940 IP Phone that I cannot get the MWI light to turn off. The phone has one line on it and I have verified that there is not a voice mail box setup on Unity for the line so I am confused as to why the phone is showing that there is a voice message. Has anyone ran into phones showing that there are messages when there are no voice mail boxes associated with the line that is assigned to the phone?

Mahesh is right on the money with the MWI ON/OFF number. I just thought I would throw in another method you can use if you don't want to or can't actually go to the phone to physically dial the MWI OFF number. Setup a VM box on the DN in question, quickly go through the enrollment,send a message to the new mailbox. Then access the mailbox,delete the new message, and "Bob's your Uncle" the MWI Light will be off.

    I have one user out of 300 who's MWI light comes on randomly, no meesage when they check VM, it goes off when  I reset it on the user page, I've deleted and recreated the mailbox, I've checked telephony configuration(no problems detected) nothing is working.     I had this same thing happen to me.  I still had a user configured in Unity while also configured in Unity Connection.  I had to leave them like this for a while.  To resolve, In Unity I went to the user then messages and deleted the MWI setting.

  • Help MWI light just stopped working.

    I have a client we deployed a UC560 system.  Everythign was working but now the MWI lights stopped working.  I have checked everything I can think of but I can not get them to light up.  Any ideas would be helpful.
    I have attached a config.  Below is what I have from the CUE module.

    It could be any number of things, but in your config you have:
    ephone-dn  598
    number A801...
    mwi off
    ephone-dn  599
    number A800...
    mwi on
    yet all your numbers appear to be 4 digits; i.e. you'd need "number A801...." and "number A800....".  There could be some translation and such going on.  Otherwise it might be necessary to run some debugs (from CUE, you could do a 'clear trace', 'mwi refresh telephonenumber XXXX', then 'show trace buff long' and see what it's getting back.  CME would have some debugs, too, but at least you'll get some basic info on whether it's getting rejected or not.

    If you mean the power button still gives a light so my be the machine has been entered the sleep mode , if you mean the indicators just let me know which indicator are giving the light

    You want to see a green light on the Time Capsule.
    Once you have set up the Time Capsule initially, a flashing amber light indicates that the Time Capsule has a message for you....possibly about a network condition or notice of an update that is available.
    Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
    Click on the amber dot and another window will appear to provide the current status....along with suggested actions to remedy the flashing amber light.

    I am having pretty much the same issue.
    Got a new modem Arris SB6141 and a new Airport Extreme ME918LL/A. Activated with my ISP (Comcast). Worked with a savy tech who knew the modem and Airport Extreme. Ensured all items were correct from the ISP side.
    I follow the instructions as indicated for Airport Extreme by it fails to detect the internet and dns servers. Comcast suggested I call apple. Reading posts above I will:
    -Reset the airport extreme
    -Unplug the modem for 30min
    Airport Utility 6.3.4 (634.17)
    Airport Extreme ME918LL/A Firmware Version 7.7.3
    MBP - Yosemite Mid 2012

  • Satellite P10-554 turns off, cant start again, but led lights still burning

    my P10-554 shuts down after few minutes. after that, i cannot start it again, but the led lights are still burning. when i wait a few minutes or hours, then i can reboot my notebook again, but he runs for about one or two minutes and then shuts himself down again...
    i thought of a problem with the fan or something like that, but why are the led lights still burning after the shutdown ? what can i do ?

    Usually if the AC adaptor is connected to the PC some LED are on. For example the battery LED lights green when its fully charged.
    However, its not usual that the notebook shuts down after several minutes of running and for me it sound definitely like a hardware fault.
    The problem is that a common user like me and you is mostly not able to fix or locate the malfunction. You need definitely a help from a technician with much more experience.
    The ASP guys could run the diagnostic tests and are able to find out whats wrong on the board.

Sometime when someone call me, the screen goes totally black, but the red light still beeps. I can’t do anything while  the screen is black.     keep trying it again.
    Plug the USB cable in the device and then run the cmd line file and see what happens.
    This process is pretty good at saving devices. Be patient and try it with the battery in, and with the battery out.

    hi, please can anybody help me with my macbook white (13-inch, Early 2009). My backlight turn on/off in wrong angles, sometimes is backlight automatically turn off.     Thank you, red light solved -but I have new problem if I plug 3,5 jack (e.g. headphones it doesn't work because it is turn on spdif - red light (because volume on macbook is not possible...) Do you have any idea how can I fix my new problem? :-/
    Connection issue is not problem of backlight (I had opened my macbook, and cables looks good, I think there is a problem with sensor which turn on/off backlight)

    I have really messed up my extreme/express network. I am connected on my computers to the extreme but the light is still flashing even though I have a connection. Help

    if you are connected and can get onto the internet with no issues, then the blinking light is indicating that the extreme / express has something that needs your attention. The usual suspects are that you've left the ability to manage both devices over the WAN port. Use the airport utility to 'ignore' or 'dismiss' this and it should turn green. The utility should tell you which other things need your attention. It's just apple ensuring that you have the most secure network

  • Officejet 100 lights still blink after replacing cartridges

    One of my Officejet 100s start blinking the power light, and the left and right cartridge lights at the same time.  
    The user said she replaced both cartridges and it's still blinking.  I verified that the cartridge were new, in date and genuine (and that the protective paper had been peeled away).  
    The ink service module looks good, too.  
    I can't get it to reset and it continues blinking after every power cycle.
    Is this a bad unit? What other troubleshooting steps should I take?

    I see you are running into printer errors.  I would like to help.
    I would recommend removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
    I would also recommend following this document on Blinking Lights.

    unplug the ethernet cable then unplug/replug the power of the adapter -- if you are still unable to hear the voice prompt when pressing **** then you need to have this device replaced since there's no othet way of resetting it except through the IVR
