My 1st generation ipad will not connect to any wifi anymore

My I pad suddenly stopped connecting to any wifi....tried master restart..nothing...please help?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

YouTube and it's app is always evolving. What used to work may no longer work, not necessarily because of the app itself or the device itself but possibly because of certain protocols that are required when accessing YouTube. I had the same situation happen on an iPad 3 running an older iOS version along with an older version of the YouTube app. My ultimate solution was to update the app but that also required updating the iOS as well.
if you are on iPad 1, that may no longer be possible since the maximum iOS for that model is iOS 5.1.1. If your iOS is already at that version and the YouTube app is also maximized, then you're out of luck using the official YouTube app. With the iPad 1, you'll be running into incompatibility issues more and more as iOS advances and apps advance...while the iPad 1 is stuck.

Since I upgraded to OS 6 my ipad will not connect to my WiFi unless I am right next to it. if i walk more than three feet away it looses connection. I have tried the brightness, resetting the network settings, changing the channel on my router...help. I have century link in Phoenix arizona. modem/router is a
ZyXEL - PK5000Z. It seems to work ok on my work wifi.
My iphone and netbook work perfectly with it. I do have an upgrade to the software on my iphone, but I fear that will loose wifi as well.

Check in settings to be sure restrictions are not turned on.

I am currently having the same problem with music that is downloaded to my laptop and stored into itunes/itunes match which is not downloading to my ipad. you have definitely tried the correct steps, all you would need to do now is a back up & restore to factory settings. If after that the issue remains then you would most likely need a replacement unit.

IPad will not connect to any other wifi network besides iPhone hotspot.

I have 3 iPads and until recently they all worked flawlessly using a mediocre wifi signal. One of them now will only work with my iPhone hotspot and will not connect to any other wifi network. I have rest it removed the cover and it still does not work. Please advise.

Try this Method:
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings (NO DATA WILL BE DELETED)
Reconfirm it again when the notification pops up and wait for the phone to reboot itself

Make sure the Usb and Phone Connector are fully pushed in.
If that doesnt work try another Usb Port as it may be faulty.

Just to be perfectly clear, when you reset the iPad by hod,ing down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen, that is a way of resetting the system and restrating the device. If you want to shut down, you still have to hold down on the power button until the slider appears and then slide to the right to shut the iPad off.
IS this what you are doing and if so what happens when you try to shut down? Describe what happens in detail.

Ipad 2 not connecting to any wifi

So, I've had my ipad 2 since early 2013 and early this year, it stopped connecting to ANY wifi, not just the one at home. I took it to the Apple store only to be told that it would cost some ridiculous amount to fix it so I would be better off getting a new one. After that, I just kinda put it aside but now, I need it. I've tried everything; reset the network settings, restore and update (8.1) the Ipad, reset my router, even had the wifi antenna changed and still, it wont connect. It just keeps telling me "Unable to connect..."
I have no idea what else to do and i'm about 2 seconds away from throwing it against the wall (bad temper). It's the wifi version so without connecting to anything, it's just a $350 piece of crap. Sigh..

I'll try to help but I am a noob at this. Only two days of painful experience with the iPad 2. lol
You can reset the networking on your iPad 2.
On the iPad 2 go to Settings/Wi-Fi and see if it's ON. Under 'Choose a Network' is there anything listed?
For example my home router is listed. As far as 'Other' is concerned you have to type in specifics.
If you are asked for a password for your router and your router uses a wep key, then type in your wep key or if a wda is used the type in that key.
