My 2g iPod touch keeps on turning on and off.

It keeps on turning on and off. I have updated it and all the apps to the latest version. I tried restoring it by using iTunes but it keeps turning off when I connect it to the computer.

Try a Reset of the iPod... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the iPod Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...
Turn the iPod On...

try pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears.. this worked for me when my ipod touch didnt turn on or show the apple symbol.. hope this helps

Error 11 is a strange one...if you search the discussions for error 11 you will get a number of hits but none with a real resolution other than getting the iPod to restore, which you have done. And one person indicates this does not appear in the support data base...already found that out.
If you have restored, have a backup and can restore from that, you might try the update again, or wait for the next update whenever that comes out.
Not a very satisfactory answer but if it is working again...

So I let it set all night unhooked from the power port and tried it today! It works! It acted like to battery was dead and recognized when I tried to power it on! All I can say it was a GOD thing! ;) I done a lot of praying!

If not successful and you can't turn the iPod completely off let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least of hour try again.

I just had a similar problem and tried all of the reboot techniques with no success. I knew it had to be a connection issue inside the iPod, and grasping at straws, I sprayed a little WD-40. I dried it off and let it sit overnight. Today at lunch I plugged it in to my wall charger and it began charging.
***FYI I know they don't recommend spraying WD-40 on your iPod, but it was a last resort for me. I was at the point of paying to send it in for repairs or throwing it away. I wouldn't try this unless you are ready to throw yours away too.

Ipod Nano 7th G turns on and off again

Well i was just passing some information to my ipod and it was almost full then when i look up it was tuning on and off again , showing the apple logo , i did everything reset, disk mode, home boton and sleep botton then only home botton and plug it to the pc and then restore it to factory and nothing itunes tells me wait 8 seconds and anfter its over it just keeps turning on and off did this like 3 times and nothing
and something weird itunes tells me that mi ipod has a capasity of 0 bytes :S
Need some help any advice?

Why does my iPod Touch keep changing the date and year?

Whenever I charge my iPod Touch after it completely dies, Safari never loads whatever site I'm trying to go on and the date always goes to Thursday, January 1st, 1970. I noticed the time always changes as well. i.e. it's 10:47am now and the time on the iPod says 5:35am. I don't know how or why it keeps doing this. I didn't mind it the first 2 times, but this keeps happening everytime I turn it on. Does anyone else's do this??

I tried resetting my ipod touch, but there is still no response. I have had it plugged into the computer for a couple of days. I don't know if it is charging or what because the screen won't turn on and the computer does not recognize the device. MY IPOD TOUCH IS BROKEN. it was about to die and my charger broke right? so i left it on my shelf, and now im coming back to my ipod cuz i have a chance to charge it and it wont turn on! itunes doesnt recognize it or anything. i've checked the audiojack and its not pink so its NOT waterdamaged. i've also tried to reset it with the home/power buttons but nothing. Do you mean that it was about to run out of power, but because your charger was broken, you could not charge it? Time passed and now you've decided to look at the iPod again.
Probably, it has simply run out of power and the battery is fully drained. In that case, plug it into power and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only then will it show any signs of life. Leave it to fully charge up before you try to use it.
