My 3gs updated for 5.1 and its draining like crazy
I updated my 3gs from 5.0.1 to 5.1 and my phone was heated all day, i closed all the apps and I wasn't downloading anything. Usually at the end of the day I would be around 50-60% but before the day ended my phone was already dead. How could I fix this, i'm sure this isn't a battery problem because I didn't have this problem yesterday.

I updated my iOS system 2 Days ago. App store says I have 20 updates, when I click update all, they all go in to "Waiting" mode and its been like that for 24 hours now with no sign of updating. Do I have to delete them all and reinstall ? any help much apreciated.

No one here works for Apple. This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Everyone here is a volunteer. You tend to get from this forum what you bring to it. My iPhone 5s is stuck in recovery mode and won't turn on, I've tried to restore and update it to iTunes and its finding my phone, but saying an error has occurred and won't work, the software is up to date, it just automatically switched itself off and when I try to turn it on, it shows the White background with the apple logo asif it's going to turn itself on but then switches off after a couple of seconds, what can I do? ive already taken it to a shop and he's looked at it, but said he can't fix it, thanks.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

What happened to my music? I updated to iOs 6 and its all gone. I pay for the iCloud music storage, but I currently have no access to my music.
iTunes Match was not working after I upgraded to iOS 6. It was solved by connecting the iPhone to the computer, backing up the iPhone, and then doing a restore to factory settings. After that everything is working fine.

Ive jsut tried to update my iphone 4 and its asking me to click restore, does this mean I will lose all of my information?
You will only lose data that you did not sync to your computer, or data you did not back up to iCloud. If you have synced or used iCloud then the data is stored for you.

That message means that you have to restore the iOS software because something went wrong. Follow the instructions here. I hope that you have a backup.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

Mixing updates for Windows 7 and 8

I'm trying to come up with a design decision for performing monthly workstation updates. Currently I have two baseline software update groups (SUG) for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 which contain all updates for this year and prior years. All our devices are
Windows 7 with only a handful of Windows 8/8.1 devices. I plan to create monthly update groups to coincide with Patch Tuesday. I would like to know if the preferred method for SUGs is to have a dedicated group for each OS or if it is okay to combine the two
groups into one. I am aware of the limit of 1000 updates per group.
My other question is in regards to Office updates. Should I mix these updates with the OS updates or should this be it's own separate SUG?

ChrisIt's ok to combine software updates for multiple products into the same SUG and have that SUG deployed to systems that don't qualify for all of the updates. Each client will only install what applies to them specifically. However, it is ideal to not target
any systems with updates that don't apply to them as it can contribute to WMI repository bloat. -
The App Store says I have updates for I-Photo and Garage Band. When I try to update I get the following message: You have updates available for other accounts To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." Both apps came with my computer and as far as I know I only have one Apple account. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I read the solution someone else suggested (type your user name without @gmail and create a new password. When I tried it, I was asked for my birthday. It didn't recognize it. I just did a new nstallation of acrobat V9.0 professional from CD:
I need a link to the master incremental update for 9.2 and the master 9.55 incremental update that goes from V9.2 to V9.55
I am looking for a master baseline release.
My reinstall is on an old XPSP3 machine. When acrobat professional 9.0 goes away I will still need the incremental update from V9.0 to V9.55
I do not need to put acrobat X or acrobat XI on this machine. A new acrobat X or acrobat XI license is for a new machine.
I keep all my master and incremental updates in archival. That way i can rebuild my machine.
This is the way it is normally done.
the autoinstaller jumped me from V9.0 on CD to V9.2 and from V9.2 to V9.55.
I dont' see master releases in the table that do the same thing.
there were only 2 updates.

many thanks!Most of the manual updates are not cummulative. It sounds like you did the updates from the help menu (and many of those are cummulative -- don't know why they are not available). You may be able to find the updates you used on your harddrive -- I have seen them before, but don't remember where, probably the users folder or such.

My iphone 5 has just had an update for candy crush and ever since i opened it the screen has been black and I can't get it to do anything what can I do?
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.) Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Delete the App, then reinstall it.
Test the issue after each step. Make sure to quit the app as described before each followup step.
