My 3GS went black today. How do I fix Error Code 1604?
My 3GS went black today. At first, I just thought the battery was dead. But when I went to charge it, it behaved differently. Eventually the Apple logo popped up, and then a message appeared that stated that I needed to activate the phone. The next screen said that I needed to hook it up to iTunes.
When I did that, it said that I needed to "restore" the device. Upon doing so, I eventually got a message that said there was a problem, and referenced Error Code 1604. I can see the online instructions of what to do, but none of that works.
So should I toss the phone in the garbage? Or take it 60 miles to the nearest Apple store? Or is there some brilliant person out there that can tell me how to fix this? :-)

Well, as the article says about 1604, if none of the steps work, it needs service;
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
So you can either take it into an apple store, or call Apple and use one of their mail services.

I appreciate your answer. While it might work, I'm a bit hesitant to remove the other programs as a possible solution since they are all currently working.
With Acrobat 9 Pro failing with the OS 10.7 upgrade, I'm hoping that there is a less severe solution.
Since the trigger appears to be 10.7 and may have something to do with the discontinued support of Rosetta, I could be spending a few hours working on a reinstall without a change. Yes, it might work. The "might" is the part that makes me hesitate.
Is anyone else out there on OS 10.7 and running Acrobat 9 Pro? Any issues with anyone else?

To try and resolve the 6A00 error, we will want to ensure that no paper jams or obstructions exist in the printer. To do this, please follow the steps below:
ASF / Paper Output Slot
Turn off the printer.
Remove paper from the ASF.
Gently pull the jammed paper out.
If paper is visible from the ASF, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly.
If paper is visible from the paper output slot, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly.
If the paper tears and a piece of that remains inside the printer, open the scanning unit (printer cover) and remove the paper from inside the printer.
Note : Be careful not to touch the components inside the printer.
Turn on the printer and confirm that the Alarm light is off.
(If the jammed paper remains in the printer, the paper may be automatically ejected.)
Load paper back into the ASF.
Press <OK> to clear the message and continue printing. If you are printing from an application software, follow the instructions displayed on your computer.

Paper jams inside the printer
Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord and USB cable.
Remove the jammed paper slowly using the following procedure.
Open the rear cover to check if the paper is jammed.
Pull out the cassette and check if the paper is jammed inside the cassette area.
Stand the printer with the rear side down, holding the document cover.
Press the tabs together and pull the green cover toward you.
Check if the paper is jammed.
(If you were not doing Duplex printing, you do not have to follow this procedure.)
Close the green cover and place the printer back to a normal position.
Reconnect the power cord and power on the printer. Confirm the Alarm light is off.
Load paper back into the ASF or cassette.
Press <OK> to clear the message and continue printing. If you are printing from an application software, follow the instructions displayed on your computer.

Clearing credit card-sized paper jammed inside the printer
Credit card-sized and 4" x 6" sized paper must be loaded properly. If this media is not loaded properly, it will feed into the printer and will not exit. Credit card-sized paper should only be loaded in the ASF and in portrait orientation. 4" x 6" sized paper can be loaded in the ASF or cassette. But must be loaded portrait orientation.
If credit card-sized paper was loaded in landscape orientation in the ASF and did not eject (exit), please follow this procedure.
Turn off the printer.
Load the same paper type that is jammed inside the printer in portrait orientation.
Power on the printer.
The paper stock in the ASF will automatically feed the jammed paper from the printer.
To resume printing, load the paper in portrait orientation.
If 4" x 6" sized paper was loaded in landscape orientation in the cassette and did not eject (exit), please follow this procedure.
Turn off the printer.
Open the rear cover.
Fold in four a piece of letter-sized plain paper.
Push in the folded paper until it hits the jammed paper.
If the jammed paper is visible from inside the printer area, pull it out and proceed to step 7.
If the jammed paper cannot be pulled out, push in the folder paper from the rear so the jammed paper is in between the feed rollers.
Pull out the folded paper and close the rear cover.
Power on the printer and confirm that the Alarm light is off. The jammed paper should automatically eject.
To resume printing, load the paper in portrait orientation.
If you still experience the same error after performing the steps above, please turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on. If the error persists, unfortunately, the printer will require servicing to resolve the issue. Please click on the Contact Us link below to obtain your servicing options.

These errors occur when the Windows installer cannot successfully modify the registry. Quick solutions:
Repair the current program installation using Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Log in as administrator and access the appropriate registry key:
(Acrobat) HKLM\Software\Adobe\Acrobat
(Reader) Reader\<version> HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\<version>
Update the program again.

If so, when a call is received while listening to music with the iPod, when the call is answered the music should be paused. When ending the call, the music starts playing again from where is was paused.
There is no automatic mute with notifications for received email or messages while on a call and there is no setting for this. -

When I tried to update Clash of Clans this morning, I got the error, "MZCommerce.JmsSendError_Message." Of course, I went to my computer to try to do the update. When I try it there, I get error code "11111."
It will not allow me to update any of my apps at this point. I tried to call Apple, but of course all methods to contact them are cut off. I sent an email and they are supposed to be back with me in 24 hours. However, since I restored my iPad in an attempt to correct the error, I have no access to anything for my iPad until they see the need to get back in touch with me. I use my iPad constantly. I may not survive 24 hours without it.

Hello everyone,
The other night I went to recharge my iPod classic and, while doing it, I pushed the middle button on it and a message popped up saying not to disconnect without first clicking the eject symbol (which I hadn't tried to do).
Then it proceeded to re-sync the songs on there but it wouldn't sync all of them. I lost probably 600 songs off it but they're all still in my iTunes.
Now when I plug it back in and try to sync it a message pops up:
The iPod "JARRETT'S I" cannot be synced. An unknown error ocurred (13014).
So, I can still charge it but cannot get all those songs back.
If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated as there's no info on the Apple site about this specific error code.

Also, I do have the latest version of iTunes already and have tried restarting my computer several times now as well as quitting iTunes.Here is a sort of relevant article (ignore the fact that it is for the iPhone and iPod Touch). You may may need to try and sync the iPod with a different PC to see if the issue persists there or not.

I recently began taking an online class. We are required to watch multiple videos. I was able to watch the QuickTime videos before, but now whenever I launch the videos in QuickTime I get the Error code 401. My teacher does not know whats wrong, because I do have authorization to watch the videos, I am just not sure how to go about it.
