My 4s dead or should I keep trying error -2001

Hello Friends
Well my wife has done it again for the 3rd and probably last time she has dropped her iphone 4s into water submerging the entire phone. This time around the rice and drying packets did not work. I followed a number of other non-invasive techniques to no avail. Finally I took the phone apart and soaked it in the high end alcohol, cleaned all corrosion I could find (there was a few spots), reassembled after letting it throughly dry, and plugged it into the macbook only to be greeted with the same itunes message. I then took the phone apart again, cleaned it again, and put in a new battery, and put it back together and tried again. No luck.
What is happening is when the computer tries to install the software the phone dims out and refuses to re-fire and instead goes back into the restore screen.
My question, is this phone done or is there something I am missing that may work.

I'm trying to restore factory setting on my ipad mini and I keep getting error 2001. It won't turn on and won't restore.

I've been trying to fix my sister in law's ipad mini. When I plug the ipad mini into itunes it say's it needs to restore factory settings. When I do that, it tries to do it, but then says it can't because of an unknown error 2001. I've tried it over and over, unplugged it and plugged it back in, tried to restore numerous times and the same thing keeps coming up. It won't turn on and the screen just shows that I need to plug it into itunes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It died while i was at work and when i went to plug it into my car charger all i saw was the apple logo coming and going. so when i got home i put it in recovery mode and tried to restore and I got Error 2001. if I remember correctly the error code -1 indicates a hardware problem. In that case, you should take your iPhone to an Apple store and have them do some diagnostics.

Trying to install iPod software on Windows XP - keep getting Error 1607!!

We bought my daughter an iPod for Christmas. I've been trying to get the software installed for over two hours!! I've been to the website for the download, I've tried it from the CD, I've tried it from links in these posts--nothing works!! I keep getting Error 1607 (a runtime error). When I go to the step by step solutions, absolutely NONE of them apply to me. It sounds (reads) like alot of people are having this issues today. Has anyone found a REAL solution!!

Exactly the same problem ! Ruined my son's Christmas ! Can't get through apple's tech support due to high volume of calls. If you read their return policy if it's DOA(Dead On Arrival) your entiteled to a refund or exchange. Call 1800 275-2273, good luck getting through. I dont feel after spending that kind of money I should have to waste hours upon hours on downloads, upgrades and software installations and still may have problems once you get to I-tunes.They have a hugh problem here ! Do you want to retry or be done." Each time I retry, the same thing happens. They will not download. I have restarted my phone and the same problem remains.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting it from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

You may have to follow the slightly more detailed steps in whichever of these two applies to you.

OS keeps trying to connect to server

Hi - When I'm home I often connect to a local server on my LAN.
But when I travel, I get this system notification over and over:
There was a problem connection to the server "Media Center".
The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the
server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.
For some reason my system keeps trying to connect to the server. I can't see why. This message keeps happening even after rebooting, before I load any applications. I can't figure out where in my system that server request is stored and how to stop it.
I've scoured the console logs but can't find any references to my server's name.
Anybody know how I can stop this? The dialog box is annoying and takes focus away from whatever I'm working on.

OK, I found the problem. I'm posting in case anyone else needs help.
Back when Mountain came out it removed colors and distinctive icons from the sidebar, replacing them with grey generic icons. I, like many others, hated the new look, so I installed a program (Side Effects) that uses SIMBL to restore the colored sidebar. It worked, I was happy, and I forgot about it.
With Mountain Lion, apparently there is a more complex interaction, and SideBar/SIMBL somehow kept trying to mount a particular local server. It succeeded when I was home, but when I would disconnect, it would reconnect on relogin. When I travel, after reboot it keeps giving me a "Cannot Connect to Server" failure message (it stops after a while).
LSS, I uninstalled SIMBL and everything works as it should. I really miss the colored sidebar but at the moment I'm not motivated to wrestle with the hacks necessary to restore it. I wish Apple would do so but it ain't gonna happen. I'll have to learn to live with the ugly sidebar.

First than all, check your video input (TV Video), check in all possible channels, and make sure the HDMI is plugged in correctly. If you did plug it in correctly, and checked all possible channels of Video Input, and it doesn't appear, you should try rebooting your MacBook Pro (with the HDMI disconnected), after it's back on, try plugging it in back again. If the problem persists, I recommend you to go to a Certified Apple Store, and have them check it.
