AlsO sometimes I. Cannot hear anything in normal speaker even though the call Is going through and has been re ieved on the other end, I have to enable speaker and then disable it to route audio to normal speakers

I think that it is something wrong with kernel and graphic drivers but i'm not able to solve it from the beginning of using of Arch by me.
I'm not so sure this issue is software-related only because in my case it seems the laptop screen enters power-saving mode (10-min timeout) on its own without any events logged (as shown by dmesg) so my next thought was OK, I'm going to get rid of this issue disabling the screen power-saving timeout in the BIOS and set it to never power down or something like that and from then on managing power mode manually; ie: when I want to power down I will just use systemctl suspend/hibernate which work fine ... problem is: there are no related options in my BIOS for such timeout.
The only timeouts I have are in /etc/systemd/logind.conf set to 30min (#IdleActionSec) (commented) by default so these are not in effect because the screens goes blank after 10m which is less than the (default) 30m in logind. Maybe setting loggind to 9m (un-commented) to catch the event before the machine-default one ?
IdleActionSec=9min
IdleAction=suspend

It sounds like you are trying to use your MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt Display in closed clamshell mode (MacBook Pro closed), but sometimes the display doesn't stay on. I found an article that talks about closed clamshell mode. You would have to fulfill the following requirements to use your display this way:
Requirements for closed display mode:
Power adapter
External keyboard, mouse, or trackpad
External display

Apple TV uses iTunes. The reason you can't rent through your ATV is because you can't rent movies through iTunes Canada. Sadly, as this is a user-to-user forum, no one here would know when or if rentals will come to Canada.

The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting issues with an iPhone not turning on:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

3GS died/froze mid-call and will not boot back up

I was on the phone earlier today, and my iPhone 3GS suddenly dropped the call and died. I pushed the power button, and then got the Apple logo screen. The Apple logo screen lasted for an hour, until I tried holding both the power and home buttons several times (both in and out of silent mode), to no avail. When I got home, I plugged it in, but iTunes doesn't recognize it.
I've also tried restore mode, but then it sits with the low low battery screen for about two minutes, and then its back to the logo screen. Help! I haven't installed any new apps in weeks, and this is the first problem I've had with it.

First charge it for a couple of hours using the wall charger, not a computer.
Then hold HOME and SLEEP for 12 seconds to see if it will reboot. If it doesn't restart your computer, connect the dock cable to a USB 2 port on the back of the computer (not a hub or the keyboard) but do not plug it in to the iPhone yet. Hold the HOME button (only) while plugging it in to the dock connector and keep holding. After a couple of minutes you should see an icon on the screen showing a connection to iTunes. Release the HOME button and wait. iTunes should connect and restore the phone. If it doesn't you have a hardware failure and need to get it replaced by Apple.

Officejet 6600 shut down while printing and will not turn back on

I was printing a few documents on my printer and everythign was working fine, then there was a loud click and the touch screen turned blue and the printer shut down. I could not power it back up using the power button, so I tried unplugging it and re-plugging it and it did not work. I have the device plugged into a surge protector so I plugged it into the wall and it still did not work. (Note: all other devices on surge protector were able to get power, so it was not that). I do not know what to do. I need the printer for business and school ASAP and the product is still under warrenty. The warrenty ends September this year (I believe). I would like to bring it into the store if I can and exchange it, but I do not have the box. I do not know if there is something HP can give me to be able to return the product to Staples, or how long it will take to go through HP for the warrenty, but again, I need this printer ASAP and all of the troubleshooting I've done so far has not helped. This is not the first time the printer has shut down while printing more than one document, however this is the first time it has not been able to turn back on either by pressing the power button or unplugging it and replugging it back in. Any help would be great!

UIToolbar shifts when on call. Does not shift back after call.

I have a UIToolbar on my application. And if I'm on a call, the application is shifted down due to an extra line "Touch to return to call" just below the normal status bar. This shift down causes my app to be a little bit smaller. And my UIToolbar is shifted accordingly. But when I end the phone call, that extra bar goes away. But my UIToolbar isn't shifted back up.
I have my view controller's view.autoresizesSubviews = YES;
and
toolbar.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleTopMargin;
And if I shift the height of the view's frame using this test code:
self.view.frame = CGRectMake(self.view.frame.origin.x, self.view.frame.origin.y, self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height-10);
Then the UIToolbar shifts exactly as I would want it to. But for some reason, when the phone hangs up, I'm not getting that shift.

HP Photosmart c5180 plug printer in, the printer automatically turns on and does not function.

When you it is plugged in with Power, the power button turns on and the display looks like it is initializing but then it flashes, the cancel button blinks ones and then it start over.
If you try to turn the printer off with the button, seems to turn off but the display stays on.
I ahve try unplugging the printer from the wall and the printer... 15 secs. Plug back in and still continues to do the same this.

I am running in a situation which I haven't seen before.
Main script calls function which executes another script.
No matter which statement is the last in called script, it hangs on the last line and does not return control to main script.
I tried to call another script not within the function - it is the same result.
Can you help please.
Below example of code:

i had the same problem a few weeks ago and i had only had my 3g iphone for a few weeks. It was as if i was on permanent mute. I could hear others fine, but they couldn't hear me, even if i used speakerphone or even a bluetooth.
i took it to an apple store and they did a real quick test (they first did a system restore, then they took my phone and tried calling another employee). Once they validated it wasn't working, they replaced my phone quickly with no questions asked. Just make sure to back up everything on I-Tunes before you go in so that you dont lose any info. might want to do the restore before you go in, as well, otherwise you'll have to wait for them to do it at the store, which takes them 15 mins or so.

so I have called HP tech support 12 times over the last 6 weeks and still my HP Officejet 4620 loses connection overnight. Of course becasue it was a birthday present I spent more time than I normally would have on this issue. While the tech are very polite they have not fixed my problem and now it is too late to return printer to store. This is a lot of money wasted and I think they need to admit this is a bug in this printer and resolve the problem!!!!!

When the user press the button Calculate Tax (see attached doc) and click on Tax details then this should be updated automatically. But it does not work it is empty and the user has to update manually.

I totally agree, I am not going to discredit your comment as everyone is entitled to their opinion as I am BUT, I will not bad mouth other members, especially since may have not have written my initial statement in a logical manner so Ill try and answer them in order to your response.
1. I DO LIKE iTunes in general and on the whole BUT I dislike the new update, iTunes 11, it has completely buggered everything up.
2. Prior to the update, everything worked brilliantly, including Apple TV. It was user friendly and was easy to use. The new update is counter-intuative and is hard to find, fix anything and as I have had to find out at my cost, reset my Apple TV and start downloading all over again. So let me reaffirm, it is iTunes11 I find hard to fathom, not the old iTunes.
3. No I am not a developer but I have been using PC's for over 20 years so I do know how one works.
4. Good Question about who would help me, again, it is someones opinion against someone elses. One day, I may write something that generally people agree with, another they may not, depends on the subject.
5. " I do not love Apple" ?yet I have an iPhone 4s, iPad and Apple TV, find that an illogical comment!
6. I have made a General Search on the forums on the subject and the general consensus is that the new update is one update to far.
7. Oh, I am not a genius otherwise I would have solved the issue in the first place!
Just to re-iterate, I am not bad mouthing Apple in general, all I am saying is that iTunes 11 is one update to far and I am not the only one saying it.... some have gone a lot further than I have, again, their opinion and who am I to argue with them as I have an opnion as you do and I will most deffinatly not bad mouth a member because I disagree with them for the above reason, debate it, yes, not belittle them.
