My 5 keeps pausing conversations during a call, how can I get it to lock

My cheek or ear always mutes the conversation during a call. Is there a way to get it to auto lock during a call?

It sounds like you have a problem with the proximity sensor that turns the screen off when you are on the phone. Do you have a case on the phone? If you do, try taking the case off and test a call. See if the screen turns off when you bring the phone up to your ear. If it does, it is possible the case is blocking something in the proximity sensor which is not allowing it to work properly. If it still does not work after taking the case off, you can perform the user troubleshooting, power off/on, reset by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If that doesn't work, then a restore, first from a backup and if needed then as a new device if necessary.

I need to download Firefox 3.6 and have tried to do so from your site, but it keeps going to the update. How can I get 3.6?

The newer versions of Firefox are incompatible with my website builder. Tech support advised me that Firefox 3.6 would work.

Firefox 3.6 came out in 2010. It is VERY old in terms of software and especially web browsers. Firefox is currently on version 36.0.4 and version 37 comes out next week. You should ALWAYS be running the latest version of a web browser. Don't believe me? If you are using 3.6, you are vulnerable to most of the bugs at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox/, and your browser can't use all the new features http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Firefox#Version_4.0 from version 4 down (there are lots). You are stuck in technology 5 years old and can't use all the modern awesomeness.
Honestly, if your website building tool only supports Firefox 3.6, you should consider finding a new tool. There are lots of modern web technologies (like HTML5, CSS3, etc.) that that tool is probably forcing you to miss out on.
If you really need to use that tool, can't upgrade, and firefox 3.6 is the only version that works (I'd try using it with modern Firefox, it might work) then use the portable version of Firefox 3.6 and use regular Firefox for all your regular surfing. Why does Encore CS6 quit during startup and how can I get it to stop?

I am using Encore CS6 on Mac OSX 10.9.1. After spending all afternoon purchasing, researching and downloading the newest Encore (because CS5 would no longer burn anything on the new operating system), every time I open Encore, it unexpectedly quits. There is no error message, it loads Encore to the point where you can see all the Encore windows, and before asking whether you are opening an existing project or starting a new project, the program quits. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Try restoring the iPhone. If a normal restore doesn't work, try setting it up as a new device.

The Adobe Reader conversion ability to Word (.docx files) will not work. How can I get my money back?

I signed up and paid for the service that Adobe Reader advertizes that says it can convert PDF files to Word (.docx) files. I tried it immediately after purchasing it and it did not work. What it did was it converted it to a .docx file but the content was in the form of a picture and therefore uneditable. This does me no good. Basically, it took a screen shot of the PDF and then inserted it as a picture into a word file. I wouldn't call that conversion. I would like my money back. How can I get my money refunded to me?

If the original PDF was an image, you need to perform OCR (text recognition) during the conversion.

In Mail, one mailbox for Recovered Message (AOL) keeps showing 1 very large message that I cannot delete. How can I get rid of this recurring problem, please?

In Mail on iMac, successfully running OS X Lion, one mailbox on My Mac for "Recovered Messages (from AOL)" keeps showing 1 very large message (more than 20 Mb) that I just cannot seem to delete. Each time I go into my In Box, the "loading" symbol spins and the message appears in the "Recovered Messages" mailbox. How can I get rid of this recurrent file, please?
At the same time, I'm not receviving any new mails in my In Box, although, if I look at the same account on my MacBook Pro, I can indeed see the incoming mails (but on that machine I do not have the "recovery" problem).
The help of a clear-thinking Apple fan would be greatly appreciated.

I worked it out.
Unhide your hidden files ( I used a widget from http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/developer/hiddenfiles.html)
Go to your HD.
Go to Users.
Go to your House (home)
there should be a hidden Library folder there (it will be transparent)
Go to Mail in this folder
The next folder ( for me ) is V2
Click on that and the next one will be a whole list of your mail servers, and one folder called Mailboxes
Click on that and there should be a folder called recovered messages (server) . mbox
Click on that there a random numbered/lettered folder -> data
In that data folder is a list of random numbered folders (i.e a folder called 2, one called 9 etc) and in EACH of these, another numbered folder, and then a folder called messages.
In the messages folder delete all of the ebmx (I think that's what they were from memory, sorry I forgot as I already deleted my trash after my golden moment).
This was GOLDEN for me. Reason being, when I went to delete my "recovered file" in mail, it would give me an error message " cannot delete 2500 files". I knew it was only 1 file so this was weird. Why 2500 files? Because if you click on the ebmx files like I did, hey presto, it turned out that they were ALL THE SAME MESSAGE = 2500 times. In each of those folders in the random numbers, in their related message folder.
Now remember - DONT delete the folder, make sure you have gone to the message folder, found all those pesky ebmx files and deleted THOSE, not the folder.
It worked for me. No restarting or anything. And recovered file. GONE.
Started receiving and syncing mail again. Woohoo.
