My a/c name comes up on a shared photo stream, why?

Hi I set up a photostream in my business name to show some clients my work and I always use a pseudonym to keep my ID private as I have a nasty ex that was tracking me, when I posted the photostream to my clients it was the new beta stream and had my account name/real name all over it. I thought it would just have the photo stream name. Is there an option so you can put pseudonyms instead of your full name?
I don't have my name on any other photo apps so why are Apple deciding that emblazoning it everywhere is a good idea?

Windows icloud 3.1, in a shared photo-stream, makes file names with 42 random characters long. It didn't do this in iCloud 2. I have installed iCloud 3.1 on a windows 8.0 and 8.1 machine and two Windows 7 machines. They all do the same thing. It used to give me file names like "IMG_0001.jpg" now it gives me random file names like "01a9fc3363330464233a142486180f0c1622eb9fca.jpg" all the pictures are out order.
Does anyone have fix for this? Does any one else have this problem? I have posted this before and know one else that uses windows seams to have this problem exect me. I did call Apple and they did some research and bumped me up to senior techs and eventuality Apple told me this is working the way it was designed to. This is extremely stupid, I need the sequential file names so the pictures will sort correctly.

I did find a Work Around. What I do when I receive a folder full of pictures from another ios iPhone user, I copy all the photos as a batch from the PhotoStream folder into a free Windows program called "FastStone Photo Resizer" from www.FastStone.org. This program allows you to resize the photos as a batch to what ever size you wish. In my case I resize them to 2560 x 1440 which fills my 27" monitor and reduces the file size of each picture from 2MB or 3MB down to about 450 KB without degrading the picture as far as what you see on the screen.
This program will also within the same batch operation, allow you to sort the pictures by "Date Taken" which is the Date and Time the picture was taken. It gets this information from the EXIF data in the jpg file. This program will then rename the files with different numbering format options including date, time, alphanumberic and with just simple numbers starting at what ever number you wish to start with. I can get files that look like this again "IMG_0001.jpg" and have all the pictures in the correct order that they were taken. At this point, I save the pictures directly to a folder on my PC. The cool thing about this is, all the EXIF data is preserved as well. I can process a 100 pictures in less that 60 seconds. I hope this helps. For me, I can now live with this iCloud numbering defect.

Wrong name displayed in Shared Photo Stream on iPhone/iOS 6

I invited my wife to a shared photostream and MY name shows up when she comments on a photo. It might be that she's using what used to be MY phone. Here's what we did in our upgrade to iOS 6 and the iPhone 5.
I got the new iPhone 5 and passed the old 4S to my wife.
1) I backed up her old iPhone 4,
2) I reset the 4S (iOS 6) and restored from her old 4's backup.
3) Sent her an invitation to the photo stream, she accepts, posts, and it displays MY name.
4) Discovered on her phone that "My Info" under Settings-->Mail...-->Contacts was pointed to MY contact on her phone, not her own. Fixed that.
5) Removed her from the photo stream, re-invited, still shows my name.
Could Apple be associating a Device ID with a name at the server level? How do I fix this?

Hi all, after a view hours trying to resolve this I have found the answer to photo stream sender name issues.
iPhoto will display the name associated with your apple ID.
I logged onto "manage my apple ID" and found my wife's apple ID was registered to me and not her
It took 5 seconds to resolve - simple really

HT201317 How do I correct my name in my Shared Photo Stream?

The stream says "shared by Me", and "Me" is obviously registered somewhere, but I can't find where. It's not my apple ID, nor my iPad name or mail account.

I found the answer in an other thread: it cannot be corrected. Apple takes the user name from the credit card in iTunes.
So in my case, and probably many others (VENT): my most informal and intimate communications will always be accompanied by my cursed, hated official name. Unfortunately I haven't found another tool that works as well as photo streams to stay in touch with the folks at home :-(

WOW! That font is difficult to read. But, see if this support document helps you http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3989. Photos stream is based on date and photos more than 30 days old are removed. Photostream is designed as a temporary storage to allow you to download the photos to the computer.

The only thing we have in common is that we share the same Itunes account on the two devices, but that should not matter, should it?? When she comments on her friends pictures, it looks like I am the person leaving the comment.

HT201077 I have a shared photo stream on my ipad that I would like to add more recepients. When I select edit there is no list of subscribers and no option to add or delete names, only add photos or delete the stream.

I have a shared photp stream on my ipad and I would like to share with some addition people. I tried selecting edit but it only gives the option to delete the stream or select photos to share on another photo stream. Is it possible to add more email addresses on an existing stream?

HT201317 Remove the "By user name" title in Photo Stream

Is there a way to remove the "By User Name" title displayed in the upper right-hand corner of a shared Photo Stream? I sell stuff online and I would like to use the Photo Stream to post photos of, let's say, a furniture set. However, I'd like to maintain a little privacy by not having my first and last name displayed in the shared Photo Stream page.
Is there a way to do that, or would I have to change my profile name entirely to something like Furniture Master, so that iCloud displays that instead?

I don't think Photo Stream is for commercial use.

You probably just need to re-enable Photo Stream. It's not clear what the difference is, but there is an option to enable Photo Stream (as well as Shared Photo Stream) in both the iCloud Settings and the Photos & Camera Settings.

have a text convo with the person you want to delete. Go to the top contact in the text convo, hit edit contact, and delete that contact.
That resolution came from another thread on this issue, and this did solve to poster's issue.

My wife and I have a iPhone 4S each and an I pad. When I send a email from my phone and from my iPad her name comes up as the sender. We only have one contact email address and that is the way we warn to keep it.
Please can someone tell me how I can change this so when I send a mail from my phone and from the IPad that it reads from me.

You need a separate email address but you've already ruled out that solution.

The only way that I know currently know of to remove old or incorrect email addresses from the Mail app is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults, which I assume that you don't want to to. You could try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe one day we'll day be able to edit them : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html#ipad
