My account has been hijacked Help please

Hi Skype,
I am an extremely fustrated user. Yesterday, my account was hijack from someone using a .ru email address. When I attempted to contact skype for help, I have filled out the identify verification form 4 TIMES! and the end result per Diane R is that the information that I provided is still not sufficient to identify my identity.
This is absolutely not acceptable, I have provided so much information over 4 times, including snapshots of emails that I received from Skype notifying me of the change in email address, skype credit which was deposited into my account using iTunes, and an original email from skype welcoming me to skype.
I can bring in so many users who can vouch that I owed that account etc. What do I need to do to speak to someone who can help me rather than just fustrate the heck out of the user?

So was mine.  They were trying to set up a recurring payment of some sort...  I got a notice on my phone that my password had been changed...  then charges trying to be made...  then suspicious activity and my account was frozen.  I was able to change my psswrd, and the charges did not go through, because thankfully I have no credit cards associated with Skype.

    It keeps asking me to re- enter the password. Is there something that I am doing wrong, the account has been verified but as soon as I exit out of settings it will ask me to re-enter my password.

    I have 2 gamecenter accounts, I tried logging into one last night but its telling me to reset my password which I have done but its still saying wrong password. Any ideas on what I should try next please? Oh I have a ipad 2 and all my software is up to date thanks

    Emails have been sent to some people n my contacts list th I haven't sent- it contains a link which its says has Been sent from my iPhone - please help.

    Seems my account has also been hacked, and sent messages to everyone on my contact list but all off them appearing to be from different domain names. This is yet another problem experienced since Sky moved to Yahoo emails.  Not happy with this at all and sadly it's incurred me costs as I've had to text everyone I know to warn them. Can this be investigate further please?

    It's just spam but there is something you can do.
    When you get mail such as this, from your Mac Mail Menu Bar click Message / Bounce.
    The sender will receive a notification that your e-mail address was invalid.

  • I think my computer has been hacked, help please?

    Hi,
    A couple of days a go, after having my laptop for nearly two years, I have started to have major issues with it. When I log on, as soon as I get on to my desktop, without any encouragement, it starts doing its own thing such as the mouse moving around in a very jagged manner and generally resisting anything I attempt to do. It is making my computer incredably slow and its so frustrating. Even worse, I am frightened I may have picked up something and that someone is controlling my machine but the issue is I know so very little about computers, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    I have changed browsers (used to use Safari, now I use FireFox) and have backed up all my files on to a hard drive and am thinking about restoring the mac to it's factory settings but I am unsure whether this would mean I would lose all my applications which I desperately can't afford to do. It only happens occasionally, so at the present it is fine but it occurs out of the blue and is very unnerving. I have two anti virus programmes on here: ClamXav and iAntiVirus which suggest that there are no virus found on the computer. I have also been monitoring the activity monitor and although nothing has particularly drawn much attention, it can be fair to say I am not entirely sure what I am looking for.
    Is there any way to double check to see as to whether my computer is infected and if so what would be my next move?

    The anti-virus software is not the problem.  Yes, Shootist is correct that AV software can be almost as much of a problem as getting infected with malware, but ClamXav is one that is good.  Having two isn't so good, though, so ditch iAntivirus at least.  And see my Mac Malware Guide for more information to protect yourself from malware.
    Similarly, the firewall is also not the problem.  You almost certainly do not need a firewall.  See Do I need a firewall? for more information on that.
    Most likely, you are not being hacked.  If I understand you correctly, it doesn't seem like the mouse has any purpose to its actions - is that correct?  If so, my first thought would be that your battery has gone bad and is expanding, and in the process is pressing on the underside of the trackpad.  That is a known cause of this kind of behavior.  Though I must admit I've never seen a battery expand, it does happen.  I'd advise getting the machine looked at by Apple ASAP.
    If the movements do appear purposeful, someone could be playing a prank on you.  Check System Preferences -> Sharing and make sure everything there is turned off.  If Screen Sharing is on, someone may have been using that to access your machine, most likely someone who knows your MobileMe password (if you have MobileMe) or someone on the same local network that you're using.

    I just received 41 "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" emails in the last 2 minutes.
    Changed my password but of course .Mac support stops answering the phones at 6:00PM.
    Any ideas?

    It's likely a friend of yours has a virus which is pulling addresses out of their address book, and using them as the reply-to address in the attempt to spread itself. There is nothing you can really do except contact your PC using friends, and tell them to check for viruses with updated definitions.
    Sure is annoying, but not much you can do to prevent it.

  • Mail account has been disabled, it's my primary ac...

    Hi all,
    I carried out a vigorous search before posting!
    Issue:
    I logged into our primary BT account (which was fine, no issues there; aware of outage today etc); upon clicking on the mail icon I was met with the below message:
    Your Yahoo! Mail Account is no longer active.
    Unfortunately, we cannot reactivate your account because:
    Your Yahoo! Mail account has been disabled. Please contact user support.
    Reasons why this may have happened:
    It may have been as a result of not using/sending emails from the account within a given period of time. We hardly use the primary address email; it usually only receives BT offers and BT warnings about usage! The disablement is not as a result of hacking and I’m not aware we broke any yahoo mail rules as it’s barely used!
    Worries:
    I’ve tried with no luck to raise this with yahoo and I’m beginning to feel a little disheartened at the lack of support from Yahoo and everything associated!
    The email acts as our primary account, without it I won’t receive emails re: usage warnings, offers etc and if I need to verify something I won’t be able to!
    I could create a sub account but it won’t receive the same emails as the primary account.
    More worries:
    I’m also worried the email primary email will eventually disappear because after a period of time you can’t reactivate a yahoo mail account, and then I’ll be met with an even bigger problem...
    Anyone had this issue or be able to provide support and/or advice? Just to clarify, no problem logging in, that's fine; can do everything else, we just can't access the yahoo mail account!

No exact reason why, there was no conditions being violate. But why they're blocking the Skype that we've created? We can't contact their customer support, always page not found or offline. The purpose of the Skype that were blocked is to message our client if their lesson online were cancelled by our teacher. But since January or this previous year, the first Skype was suddenly blocked. And these following months, we always create new one and blocked again. But why?

  • My search feature has been Hijacked. Everytime I try to click on a relivant search it goes to a totally unrelated site. I removed firefox and reinstalled it but it did not work. This does not happen in IE. Please help, I do not want to use IE. Michael
