My Acrobat 9 Standard has stopped allowing me to move thumbnails with the mouse.
For some unknown reason my Acrobat 9 Standard has stopped allowing me to move the thumbnails with the mouse to change the order of a PDF document. I've tried reinstalling. I'm at my wits end on this one...
Try updating to version 9.5.2. I seem to remember that one of the earlier updates did this and a later update rectified the issue. I don't have that issue with 9.5.2

I am at attorney in Floride and am the proud owner of adobe acrobat 7 standard (necessary in Florida to file legal papers with the courts). My computer went belly up and I am attempting to restore it to its prior state. I cannot get it to activate my product. I realize you have quit supporting acrobat 7, however, I need it. Acrobat 9 Standard has stopped working and must close...
This is the message I am getting whenever I try to edit a form. It's been happening about a week now. There are no updates available, and I have repaired the installation but the problem still persists. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

How do I fix: "Adobe acrobat 9.5 has stopped working"
Whenever I try to open a file using Adobe Acrobat 9.5, I get the message: "Adobe acrobat 9.5 has stopped working" "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program". Acrobat reader 9.5 appears to work fine. I am also having problems when opening PDF files from the internet using Internet Explorer. If I try to open a PDF file with Internet Explorer I get and error message Box which says: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtimr Error! - Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe - R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. - Please contact the application's support team for more information." Then when I click OK, I get the following in IE: "Interner Explorer has closed this web page to help protect your computer - A malfaunction or malicious add-on has cause Internet Explorer to close this webpage. - More Information - Windows Data Execution Prevention detected an add-on trying to use system memory incorrectly. Reader is not Acrobat, but I got the gist. To try to resolve the issue, open Acrobat and go to Help>Repair. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
The C++ library sometimes gets messed up and has to be reloaded. That would have to be done by way of MS.
After the repair, I would strongly recommend going back to Help>Check for Updates and install updates in order. Since you did not mention updates, I suspect you are running 9.0.0. Also, you did not mention your OS level as 32 or 64-bit. If it is a 64-bit system, you need to run the updates for AA9 to work properly. -

This week my browser has stopped allowing me to open and view PDF downloads whether they are from a website or an e-mail. I am no longer given the save or open option when accessing these file types.
Try going to "Tools" at the top of your screen. Then go to "options" and then to "applications". Scroll down the list of "Content type" until you come to Adobe Acrobat Document. Click on the "action" to the right of this line item and choose Adobe Acrobat (or whichever program you want to open the document with). And then click "OK" at the bottom of the screen.
Sometimes when you install a Firefox update, it will delete this setting, and then you have to go back in here to re-set your preferences. -

I have just downloaded and installed adobe acrobat 9.0 on a Windows Server 2008. Installl process went find. When starting the program it eventually wil give me the error "Adobe Acrobat 9.0 has stopped working". I get an option to find a solution on the net or shut down. This is a 64 bit system.

Acrobat 8.1 has stopped working
Lately, however I try to choose Create PDF from Scanner, I end up with a Windows monologue box: Adobe 8.1 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I upgraded my program from 8.1.3 to 8.1.4 to 8.1.5 yesterday and today. Several times I tried in the Help menu: Repair Acrobat Installation. At least one of those times Windows gave me another monologue box: Windows installer stopped working. Any suggestions?With the absence of any further information, it would be useful to know what your environment is (e.g., OS + SP level, hardware). Do you have Reader installed in addition to Acrobat? From where did you purchase Acrobat? What other, if any, error messages do you get? Just saying Acrobat "stops working" does not precisely describe what you problem might be.
After we know this, we might have a better chance to help you?

iTunes has stopped allowing me to import CDs. if I reboot it will import one, and only one. all was working fine before. the itunes diagnostics have all green lights
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

ICal has stopped showing events for Sundays only in the month view.
iCal has stopped allowing events to be entered or viewed on Sundays from the Month view. If I double click on a date on the month view, for a Sunday, nothing happens on the screen but if I go to the day view there is a default New Event on the day.
If I enter an event from the day view it does not appear on the Sunday in the month view.
On previous Sundays where events already exist I can add a new event from the month view. If I add an event using google calendar from Chrome it appears on the Sunday and then I can add event from the month view.
This just recently started happening.

Quit Calendar, then try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. To find that folder, use Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library, and open the Preferences Folder. Drag the com.apple.iCal.plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart and check Calendar for functionality.
