My Acrobat Pro will not open my PDF Files any suggestions?

My acrobat pro does not open, anyone else out there with the same problem?

My Adobe Acrobat stopped opening pdfs. Now in the past it was Windows 8.1 playing tricks by thinking that the Adobe software was a trial which expired
Doesn't launch after 30 days | Installed as part of a CS6 suite Tried it and it worked.
Tried the fix again now no change.
I suspect that a Microsoft patch stuffed it up. They have had a few problems.
I used Reader with open with but I want pdf to be opened by Adobe.

I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat Pro on my laptop. I have Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my HP laptop. I have Windows 7 operating system. All of a sudden Acrobat Pro will not open so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the program.
The error messages I get are:

After the last update that was pushed out by Adobe, my Acrobat 9 Pro will not generate a PDF file from; [right click], Combine files into one PDF multiple files chosen in the explorer. A message pops up asking if I want to run repair. Answering in the afirmative results in another message stating files are missing. And we are back at square one.

What is the exact error? Else you could always reinstall your software.

Can you please send process monitor logs:
To take process monitor log follow the below steps:
1) Download process monitor from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
2) Launch process monitor.
3) Now try to open the PDF file at network share. It will not open with the network error so just cancel the error dialog.
4) Save process monitor logs as a .pml file.
5) Send it to me.
Try above workflows with Protected Mode checkbox checked.

If Acrobat will open, go to Help>Repair to try to fix it. If not, go to Control Panel>Programs & Preferences and update from there. After the update, go back to the help menu and do the updates.

I know this isn't a Mac question but I've been to Adobe and they are no help. I have PDF files that were created by Acrobat Pro that will not open when I click on the file icon yet, if I open the Acrobat program it will open the file. This is annoying. Thanks, your response helped. I knew Preview was the default for PDF files but I had changed that (using Get Info) but I failed to notice two important items. (1) The "Change All" button and (2) the "lock icon down in the lower right part of the window. Once I reselected Acrobat as the "opening" program, selected "Change All", AND unlocked the window so that changes would be incorporated, and OH, I even threw in a restart, everything works as expected. Picky, Picky, Picky.

Firefox will not open Adobe PDF files on my mini Mac (I have reader x and the latest Quicktime versions)

When I try to download a pdf file sometimes an error message appears and states can't down load file, Quicktime may need an extension. Other times the page just stays blank - nothing happens.
This happens very frequently. I can open some pdf files in Firefox. The problem appears with downloading.
I have the same software in Safari and Firefox and I do not have this problem with Safari - I can download PDFs in that browser

What I did was to reinstall/upgrade Adobe Reader, then there is an new option showing up in Firefox > options > applications > Portable Document Format(PDF), which is "use adobe acrobat in Firefox". Choose this one, then I managed again to open PDF files with Adobe Reader internally in Firefox.

Published Project for MAC (.app) and will not open external PDF files

I have two captivate (7.x) projects that I published as Win .exe apps, and they work fine. Published the same two projects as MAC (.app) and when I run the app on the iMac, and click a click box to open an external PDF, nothing happens. The PDFs are located in the "root" folder with the .app file.

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to open some PDF files on Acrobat 5 that I recently scanned at a Fed Ex office with no issue whatsoever. I could extract pages, delete pages, etc, the software Acrobat 5 worked fine.
What I wonder is there a way I can make a change to a PDF file that will then allow me to open it in Acrobat 5? I have a gut feeling there is an adjustment that I can make in Adobe Reader after opening it that will then make the file accessible in Acrobat 5. I am playing with it but no luck thus far.

Adobe Acrobat Pro will not open

I recently purchased and installed some programs from the creative suite on my computer. All worked well for a few months but now for some reason adobe acrobat refuses to open. I have tried using the "Open PDF with..." option as well as opening from the start menu. Nothing seems to happen; no error message or anything it just does not open.
I am running windows 7 64-bit os on a lenovo w530 laptop. The computer is almost new and lighting fast so it's not an issue of just being really slow.
I would uninstall, clean, and reinstall but I'm not sure where the install file is and I believe I installed all of the creative suite at once.
Anybody have any ideas?

Hi, My Windows Safari and MAC Safari is crashing when I try saving a attachment which I received via OWA (Outlook Web Access).
When I click on the attachment and click 'save', a pop-ip opens and saying 'saving attachment'. but it never saved. Getting application failed to run safari 'java error

I downloaded Adobe acrobat and it will not open on my mac - any suggestions?

I am new to the cloud and downloaded acrobat - which on my old computer I owned a copy - and can not get this to version to open. Am I suppose to go thru an app to access it? Delete the app then reinstall. You do not have to re purchase. Press and hold down the app until it jiggles then tap the circle with an x then tap Delete.
Then tap the App Store icon... re download the game.

I have a I-MAC and have used firefox, but lately it will not open from the dock, any suggestions?

As stated above, have used Firefox from the dock for quite a long time, but recently it did not do anything when I clicked on it, just sat there. Have been able to get to it using spotlight, but even then have to go thru extra steps and go thru a step that says something like "this application was downloaded from the internet. Do you want to open it? YES/ NO " Any ideas ? Should I dump it and reinstall, and if so , how would I uninstall?
