My addons get disabled everytime i restart my computer

Everytime i restart my pc and run firefox, all my addons are disabled ..
and i get such a screen asking for permission for each of my addons

if i give the permission and continue, and then do it for all the addons, and restart .. then it works fine but the problem occurs again the next time i restart the pc ..

i am also able to enable the addons from here, but they get disabled again and i get the same screens everytime i run firefox after a pc restart ...

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also try to delete the addons.sqlite file.
You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

Same thing goes with the search box on the right, no matter what setting I make it directs me to this Startpage. As well as when I highlight a word- right click- search google, it takes me yet again to this Startpage (in the new tab). I've scanned the computer, did the anti-malware thing, nothing. These things started to occur few days ago. I am using FF 19 (updated the latest version today, 08.03.2013).

Re-install adobe flash player everytime i restart the computer

Hello,
i found a thread in the ADOBE forum where a user reported he had to reinstall adobe flash player everytime he restarts his computer. I am having the same problem, can you please walk me through a solution?

I registered just so I could try to help with this problem. I LITERALLY was having the same exact problem for a long time. I finally found a solution. Here is what I did:
*If Using Firefox:
1. Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding the Shift Button and double clicking the firefox browser icon. It should give you the options to "Start in Safe Mode" or "Reset Firefox". - Start in "Safe Mode".
2. Download the newest flash player from adobe's website.
3. Download the Adobe Flash UNISTALLER from Adobe as well.
4. Close the browser and run the Adobe Flash Player UNISTALLER.
5. Once complete, locate "C:\Windows\System32" folder on your C: drive.
6. Find the folder called "Macromed" and DELETE the entire folder.
7. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
8. Once computer starts back up, hold the SHIFT button and double on the Firefox icon to launch it. This time when presented with the option to start in "Safe Mode" or "Reset Firefox", click "RESET FIREFOX".
9. Once it completes, close the browser and RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AGAIN.
10. Once it starts back up, install the Adobe Flash Player. When that is finished. RESTART your computer one last time. ***This last time is to verify that after your computer is turned off and back on, the flash player will still work.****
11. When your computer starts back up, open the firefox browser NORMALLY and go to a site like youtube that uses flashes. If the videos play correctly and you dont receive a message about installing flash player,......CONGRATULATIONS!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
12. ****OPTIONAL!!!**** - Go to firefox addons and check to make sure all of your plugins are up to date. You should see adobe flash player in the list as up to date. If so, restart your computer one last time, start the browser agin and check your plugins once more. If they are still up to date, you're problem is officially solved.

I need to re-insert information into add-ons that need it everytime i restart my computer.

Everytime I restart my computer and open Firefox, I have to re-insert certain information into specific add-ons.
For instance, "Firefox Sync" doesn't sync until I enter my Firefox Sync account information as if I just installed it. This happens everytime I restart.
And "Webmail Notifier" loses my webmail account information. I have to re-enter the credentials for the 3 accounts I want it watching everytime I restart my laptop.
Out of all my add-ons, I think those are the only two having problems. Any suggestions?

Try to run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).
If that doesn't solve the problem then remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Hi Dann, did you delete to the Recycle Bin, or did you do a more drastic permanent delete (e.g., Shift+Delete) or empty the Recycle Bin?

First, make sure hidden folders are viewable. You can do that using Windows Explorer or My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Look for the radio buttons to show or not to show hidden files and folders.
Now look for C:\Documents and Settings\''username''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles or some part of that path, or your actual profile folder, which would have had a semi-random name, typically ending with default, or the bookmarkbackups folder, which is the ultimate prize.

That needs to run ASAP before deleted files are overwritten.
The folder you're looking for would have had a semi-random name, but be located here:

Acrobat Reader XI addon gets disabled periodically in Internet Explorer within Windows domain

We have a followig problem that happens on new workstations with Windows 7 x64 and Acrobat Reader XI only.
Every few days (cca 3-30) the following key is automatically added to registry:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\{CA8A9780-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000}
This key has the effect that Acrobat Reader XI gets disabled in Internet Explorer add-ons. So when user opens PDF in IE (or SAP or other Windows software using IE), it is not opened within IE but in a new separate window.
Can you please suggest what can be the reason for this, like group policy etc.?

Why is my history deleted everytime i restart my computer?

Everytime i shutdown my computer and then startup the computer, all my history is gone, then there is only a map called 'today" ... but every website i've been on the days before are gone. Allthough the options to delete the history when the computer reboots is disabled.

Do you mean that Keychain Access is open every time you sign in?
If so, try quitting Keychain Access, then logging out and logging back in. Is it still open then?
What happens if you quit Keychain Access, then restart your Mac?

How can I keep my Outlook color categories straight? Everytime I restart my computer the categories are all messed up!

I am running iCloud on my Windows 7 PC with Outlook 2007 with my new iPhone 4S. Actually all things sync just fine however all the categories of my appointments in my Calendar in Outlook change color when I restart my computer. I have about 15 categories and I use all things in Outlook first and then allow the sync to put it on my phone. I need my categories to stay the same color and stop changing everytime I open Outlook!
The odd thing is that when I click the appointment in my calendar and open it up the category color is correct but I have to have the category menu open, deselect it then reselect it and it will change back until I restart my computer again. Argh. I use these for business so this is a huge headache for me to deal with!

I have run disk utility- the drive is corrupted- I get the error message restart your computer holing down the Cmd

I ran the Disk Utility and got a message that it can't repair the disk. This happened after I did a restart Command and R. After trying the repair cycle I got a message "Disk Utility can't repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed - up files" I found myself stuck because I couldn't shut down the Disk Utility. Out of frustration and patience I turned the I-Mac off by pressing the start key, thinking it would restart my computer. I feel like a fool now! I started the computer up and all I got was a grey screen with a flashing file with a question mark inside the file icon which is blinking off and on. Are you saying that every time that you restart your computer - even if the iPd is not connected to it - apps are erased from the iPad?
iCloud should have nothing to do with this situation. If anything, it would keep the apps on the iPad if the apps are checked to sync in iTunes - but that's not the exactly way that iCloud works anyway.
If you sync over WiFi ...... and if the iPad is plugged into the wall socket and charging, iTunes is running on your computer and the computer is awake - if the apps are checked in iTunes to sync, they should remain on the iPad - not be erased.

Drive Mapping Gets Removed Everytime Server Restarts

We have a two-server deployment for Team Foundation Server 2013 with Database Tier and Application Tier on two different Virtual Machines.
We have configured Maintenance plans to take full back-up of TFS and SharePoint Database everynight at 01:00 AM to a network Drive which has been mapped using the following command:
EXEC xp_cmdshell 'net use Z: "\\<network Path>\Backup and Restore\TFS Server Database Backup" user:<domain>\TFSService';
The Servers are periodically restarted bi-monthyl, every alternate Saturday. Whenever the server resumes after Restart, everything works normally, the agent comes up, replication using log-shipping starts, etc. but the Drive Map that was done for Maintenance
plan, gets removed, hence failing the database backups.
I want to know :
Why is this happening? What may be the root cause?
How can this be fixed?
If fix, is not possible, what is the most suitable work-around out of the following two?
Configure a batch job to run on every boot of server that will map the network drive.
Configure a job-schedule to check if the network drive is mapped for sql, if not map the network drive.
Please advice.

Sick and tired of having to reinstall Adobe Flash Player everytime I restart my computer.

I'm running the Latest Flash player 11.2on Windows 7 64bit with IE 9 and McAfee antivirus and this problem has been going on for at least a year. I keep hoping that a new version of flash player will solve the problem but after a year I am just sick of problems with Flash. (I hate Steve Jobs but I'm beginning to share his view of Flash.) Every time I start my laptop I have to reinstall Flash to view any videos or flash content on the web. I always get a message that I need to update my flash player and I have already updated it a million times. After I update it works until I restart the machine. I searched for solutions on Google, Adobe Forum and tried all the different suggestions but the problem continues. I've tried using other Antivirus programs but the problem continues. It doesn't matter if I use the 32 bit or 64 bit IE. It's always the same problem. Why can't Adobe find a solution to this problem? People have been complaining about the problem since Flash Player 9. I've experienced the problem since Flash player 10. I'm wondering if Adobe is doing it intentionally just to increase the number of downloads for the Adobe Flash player and every time I have to deselect the stupid Google bar. Maybe Adobe is just trying to make more money off Google by forcing me to reinstall two or three times a day?

Sorry, I should have explained more. You do indeed want to use the 64 bit installer, it's just that this installer actually installs both the 32 and 64-bit versions of Flash Player. The 32 bit version of Flash Player is kept in the syswow64\macromed\flash folder and the 64 bit version is in system32\macromed\flash.
I'm a bit concerned that this might not help, given that you see the same behavior for both 32 and 64 bit versions of IE, but doing a clean install can't hurt and should hopefully fix the install log issue I see in the reports you sent me.
If you can, please generate another set of logs after doing the uninstall and folder/file deletions.

Keeps asking me to update to flash 10 everytime I restart my computer even though I already have.

Whenever I try to view anything with flash it says I haveto update to the latest version(which I did) but it doesn't seem to want to stick to the browser. So in order to get any flash to work I have to close FF4 run the Flash installer again then reopen FF.. '''then it works for a bit '''and then stops working and asks again. look like you'd better ask this at adobe's official support pages. well, use windows search, search getflash.exe, and rename it. and be careful, maybe there are not only one getflash.exe in your system. rename them all.
