My address bar has https with a lock on it.... don't know what I did? to put this on...need help
I was changing things on my computer and I am not a real wiz at this stuff. My safari when I open it now shows https with a lock on it. I need help on removing this and also my google is missing from the address bar. Anyone know what I have done?

URL address bar and Google search bar are combined into one bar now.
Apple calls it Smart Search Field.
There is no more a separate Google search bar.
https with lock icon means that information entered in the bar is encrypted for the purpose of security.

I don't know how to go back to the original look of my Dashboard. I don't know what I did, but now when I click on it, my Words with Friends game comes up and that is all. How do I "reset" it to the original things on it?

I'm trying to connect to my home wifi with my imac gh5. After I enter the password it says connection timeout or password incorrect. I know there's no issue with the connection but I don't know what else to do. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

"Migrating" and/or "transferring" an application is not just asking for trouble but demanding it!
Always install an Adobe application from scratch, from the original media: CD or download. -
My macbook screen doesn't work so I have connected it to the TV and now nothing works, I can't see the dock or the finder bar, no folders on desktop either. I don't know what to do!
Do you see anything on the TV?
If you just see your desktop, then your MacBook is defaulting to extended display mode. Try pressing the Command + F1 keys to see if you get the menu bar and other icons.

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by malware on your pc. please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

So disappointed with the slow Lion performance & don't know what to do
I am an apple fan and I'm expressing my sincere disappointment! I guess those people who gave Lion 4-5 stars either installed it on their brilliant macbook pros or on those huge imacs or haven't used it before voting! I have a 2GB ram macbook and after installing lion it's gone terrible. Even text edit which is relatively a very light programme is not functioning many times!
I care about Apple and I think if they don't do something asap it's gonna turn to their version of Vista and change the OS game's balance.
I'm thinking of going back to Snow Leopard, that was way much faster. One funny thing is on AppStore it doesn't let me review the product saying you should have bought it from AppStore. Well of course I bought it from AppStore and you have it in your records, why don't you let me save others from this disaster. It takes a lot of my time now to go back to Snow Leopard. Honestly, with all due respect, and not in an angry mood Lion is bad! And makes your computer run much slower. DISAPPOINTEDApple says 2gb of ram is the minimum needed for lion. If you have an older machine and just the minimum ram lion will be slower than SL. I worked with a friend who had a MacBook model with minimum ram. When he upgraded the ram to 4gb his machine was about 40% faster.
Memory is relatively inexpensive these days so you might consider buying some to get to 4 or 8 gb.

Hi, I have just brought a new laptop running windows 8 and have installed Firefox. My old laptop was running XP and I didn't have a problem running Firefox on it. I am trying to install Kindle for PC on my new laptop but I keep getting the message "this link needs to be opened with an application". I've never seen this message before on any web browser that I have used. I have "googled" the question and some suggestions are:

> downloading through Internet Explorer-which I don't want to do as I want Firefox my browser of choice
> Some talk of changing profiles-which I haven't a clue about.

It's pretty simple. I am editing a newsletter, I took the old template to use as a base for the next issue. I started editing and everything was fine.
Except for the date (see the image, it's inside a red circle). I just can't edit this date, I went for layers and one layer had many sublayers, the
strange thing was, if I toggle off the visibilty for the whole layer this date/issue disappears, if I toggle off every sub-layer inside the bigger layer, it stays there. It's like it's inside the main layer group but hidden.
I know photoshop really well, but this is the first time I'm using indesign. Sorry if it's a stupid question
