My adobe cloud will not update on my iMac. Anyone have advice? I need it to work as soon as possible to make a deadline.

There is no Lightroom CC. You get the latest version (currently 5.4) with Creative Cloud, and so the CC app is correct in stating that your LR is up to date. Unlike Photoshop and most of the other Creative Cloud applications, Lightroom is not branded as "CC" because it's also available separately as a stand-alone perpetual licence product. When 5.5 (or 6.0 - or even a CC-only version) are released in the future, the CC app should prompt you to update and so in the meantime you're good to go.

no the Adobe cloud window opens..the links for the programs dont work on the Cloud screen. Its never happened before. I did find the program and after uninstalling and reinstalling it will come up in programs. But why it crashed fist of all and then why I had nothing at first, then the cloud window, then the program would go no further. All the other links work on my desktop. Just not the Adobe.

Not sure. I am not having any problems opening files in current version 8.0 except for files that have been created/modified in current version 8.2 of course. That is why I need to update.
I've tried uninstalling 8.0 version before updating and a direct download of installer/updater of 8.2... still no luck.

You need to be logged into the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID in order to see your updates. You speak about iTunes: maybe you meant that just as an expression to refer to your Apple ID, but just in case you didn't: you do NOT use iTunes to download mac software. You use the App Store application, available under the Apple menu.

Adobe 10 Will Not Update, Vista SP2

Adobe 10 will not function. I've spent days going through support recommendations. I've performed all fixes more than once. I've started and restarted. I've checked and rechecked settings. I've turned off protection programs. I've performed manual downloads. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. The update will not function. It appears to install okay, that displays as if everything did install okay, but I cannot see the Adobe page "version" display; nor can I view any independent web videos (vids do play fine from an email link, using Windows Media Player).
Please - someone - help? I'm an average user, please go easy on me.

I use MS IE version 8. That is the browser that I know I have or use . I've never deliberately used or downloaded another one.
The only IE Add On I recognized in my Manage Add On list was SPYBOT. It's on my Desktop but it's not real time, it's the free version that I run manually. I did not see MALWAREBYTES listed in my IE Add Ons, but I also have that free version on my Desktop and I only use it manually. Other than that were items like "CBrowserHelperObject" by Dell. I don't know if that falls in the category of what you're looking for? I have NO idea where the "McAfee" thing came from, I've never knowingly had it. I last used the paid AVAST version (before this guy changed it over); and before that used a paid version of Trend Micro.
I looked at ESET's properties and there was listed in their files a "Mozilla Thunderbird" Folder - I do not use the Mozilla Browser. I only use the IE Browser. I've no idea what that Folder is for or if it falls in what you want to know?
Aside from this, the only other thing I know to do is to Print Screen the list I saw in my "Manage Add Ons." Probably more info that you want or need (or maybe can read?), I just don't know what, exactly, I am looking for?
I do not see any recognizable IE Add Ons from ESET, my current AV program. If it matters, when I looked at its' Properties it reads as "CREATER OWNED," as if taking precedence over the SYSTEM? If there are other places I can look to offer more info, please tell me.

Adobe Air will not update or install in Win 7 64 bit

Adobe Air will not install. It gives me the message that it may not be approved by my administrator (me).
I have tried it several times, and elevated it to an administrator with the same message. Under users\local\ appdata\adobe, I have renamed the directories to force it to rewrite to no avail. After doing that, here is my install file

HT5730 10.8.4 will not update on my iMAC. It shows up in my apple store updates. It asks me to restart computer and it restarts. Yet, it does not take. Any suggestions?

Adobe Reader will not update from 11.0.0.6 to 11.0.0.7

I have tried installing the update to my Windows 8.1 machine, but it fails every time. When I right click and run as administrator from the download, it extracts, then pops up with:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
From the Adobe ARM.log, there is an ERROR_SUCCESS that tells me it stayed at version 11.0.0.6.
From the AdobeSFX.log, there is a "Program finished with exit code:1642". (Which just tells me the same thing as the error pop up box.)
From the MSI Installation log there is this:

I am testing the update before doing an enterprise rollout to Win8 and Win7 machines. I have tried the standalone update on other computers (Win7 and Win8) and I cannot get it to update.

This is not working either - which is not surprising considering that the update itself will not run. I can only guess that somehow the 11.0.0.6 update was incorrect somehow, but I have been using the same process to update the machines for more than 5 update cycles, so I am not sure what might have changed.
The point is, I do not want to do a complete uninstall and clean install on all of the machines in the company. Can anyone give direction with this?

I disagree about corrupted install. Every 11.0.6 pc in my enterprise also cannot upgrade to 11.0.7. We make AIPs following the same process for each patch. Something is not right with 11.0.7 MUI. I can create the AIP for 11.0.7 but cannot get the GPO to upgrade previous installations. I think something is seriously wrong with the 11.0.7 MUI msp

I am using the 11.0 MUI installer to create the AIP and then I patch the AIP with 11.0.7 MUI .msp file per normal practice like I always do. I am able to sucessfully create the 11.0.7 AIP without errors but none of my 11.0.6 MUI clients will upgrade successfully and are left at 11.0.6.
Something is broken with the 11.0.7 MUI .msp file.
Like I said, we do this the same way each time depending on quarterly update or security update and it ALWAYS works fine. This is well documented. We are following the exact same steps and something is seriously wrong with the new 11.0.7 MUI .msp file. It will not properly upgrade 11.0.6 MUI installations.
We are using the 11.0 MUI as the base for slipstreaming the new 11.0.7 MUI patch.
STEPS:
1. Download AdbeRdr11000_mui_std.zip and extract to temp directory.
2. Run: msiexec /a c:\aip\temp\acroread.msi TARGETDIR="c:\aip\11.0.7"
3. Copy the AdbeRdrUpd11007_MUI.msp patch to c:\aip\11.0.7\
4. Run: msiexec /a c:\aip\11.0.7\acroread.msi /p c:\aip\11.0.7\AdbeRdrUpd11007_MUI.msp
5. Choose c:\aip\11.0.7 as the installation folder
6. When completed Copy c:\aip\11.0.7 to \\servername\AIP\
7. Configure GPO to upgrade over the top of existing installation of previous GPO 11.0.6 MUI using the correct UNC folder
This has worked every time other than this 11.0.7 MUI msp file. It will not upgrade 11.0.6 installations.

Adobe Story Will Not Update

Hello.
I have been trying for the longest time to get back on to Adobe Story to continue working on a screenplay I am writing. But all I ever get when clicking on it is that it insists on updating. After it does that, Adobe Air says it's preparing to start loading then stops and a warning pops up, saying "Sorry, and error has occured. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
When I click the CLOSE button, the whole thing starts over from the beginning: Adobe Story installs an update, Adobe Air pops up and loads something, then stops and the warning shows up. Then it repeats AGAIN. I once spent several hours on this with no change. What is this?
I noticed in the discussion forums that others are having problems on this. I don't want to delete Adobe Story because I do have a screenplay already in the works and am afraid it will all get deleted. This is not an option for me, that cannot happen. I also do not have the foggiest idea when I downloaded Story in the first place, so I can't be sure if it was before all the new updates or not. Although I thought it was, maybe it wasn't.
I need help on this severly. Please, please, please help me not lose my work. How do I get passed this?

Thank you but, since I did that when I try to sign in it says "ERROR: Sorry, your Story free subscription does not allow access to this application. Please upgrade your subscription." Then my options below are cancel or upgrade now. I don't want to upgrade. And I still don't know if my script is still there or not. A lot of times I've had to work on it offline. Even though I saved it, has it been deleted? Please tell me it hasn't been. I log on to my account on the adobe sight and all my work is gone. Same with the app version.
What do I do now? I've never had this problem before and it's a little frustrating, off putting and scary. (Scary as in I've lost all my work.)

Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

7/3/13 Cloud will not update, says no internet connection?

I'm online (obviously) but I just keep getting a pop-up that says Please connect to the internet & try again.
I AM CONNECTED. I run my programs every day, I have an annual subscription, and I just want to update.
Grrr.

This happens when you system is not able to connect to the activation server. There could be few reasons for this like firewall is not letting this connection to establish or sometimes the Adobe entries in the hosts file.
You can check the hosts file and delete all the Adobe entries from it.
Location of the hosts file
Windows ;-- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Mac :-- Open finder window -- click on go -->go to folder---> /etc---> press enter
Open the hosts file using notepad (windows) textedit (mac)

I have 3.8.0.1280 version of Adobe air installed and need to update.. When I update it gives me this error: an error occurred while installing Adobe Air... If I try to run it as an administrator ... nothing happens..

Lloydkmaui you are correct Error 204 indicates a file permission error. You may want to try creating a new administrator account to see if you face the same error. You can find more details at Install or run Adobe applications in new user account | Mac OS X.
