My Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 will not open images anymore

I've worked with Elements for years, and have never experienced anything like this. I'm sure it must be someting simple. Any ideas?

Adobe photoshop elements 12 will not open photo editor crashes every time.

My elements 12 does the same thing I have seen written here over and over. Can not open editor, crashes every time. It is updated, reinstalled and administrator is set. Does anyone from Adobe read these boards?

I asked you to try that because one thing that often happens is that the dock icon gets corrupted, and it's best to get the simple obvious problems out of the way first.
What do you mean by "several students"? Is this in a classroom situation? Are these computers all on a school intranet together? We tend to assume here that you are talking about a personal version and a problem with your own computer, not an institutional installation, unless you specify otherwise.
If this is your personal computer, the next thing to do is to delete the prefernces. Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 settings
Adobe Photoshop Elemetns 12 paths
and any lockfiles with the same names. To see the user library in 10.9, option click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in the library, go to the saved application states folder and delete anything in there for PSE.
Repair permissions and try again.

Photoshop elements 6 will not open!

Purchased photoshop elements 6. My dad has that one and recommended it for what I want to do with photos. It was the only elements in our budget and since my dad uses it, I figured instant help should I need it.
I tried installing it. It said it was installed, but it will not open. Tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it and restarting computer. Did not work. Tried to run it as an administrator. Did not work.
I have windows vista 64 bit.
If I can't get this to work, I know I won't be buying anything from adobe ever again and will tell all my friends that want to get into editing their photos to stay far, far, far away from photoshop elements.

My recently purchased Photoshop Elements 12 will not open.

My recently purchased Photoshop Elements 12 will not open. Clicking to open, will not reveal the usual “edit” or “organize” choice windows. Only the main “edit” working window opens. In a moment, a smaller window within will also open. It states “Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”
I am running it on a Dell laptop with six gigs of RAM and a Core i5 processor.
Should I attempt to reinstall? During original installation, the only thing I was not asked was to give blood! So, if reinstalling on the same machine is the solution, will Adobe allow this?

I have tried and failed. It was loaded from disc just purchased at Best buy. It loaded fine but will not start up at all. I have looked for the launch program and tried other methods but no success yet.

Also try this once:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works. Let me know your comments.

Adobe premier elements 12 will not open.

My Adobe Premier Elements 12 will not open.
It did open about 12 hours ago when I was busy working on video edits. Then I closed it, went to sleep and got up in the morning to carry on editing - bt it wont open anymore. There are no error messages coming up.
I double clicked on the icon on my desks top, as well as tried oeping it from the start menu - same responce - nothing happens.
what can the problem be ?
If I uninstall and then reinstall - will this affect any of my videos that I am editing but have not rendered or saved yet ?

Welcome to the forum.
As one of the main reasons for PrE to not launch is the video driver (more on that in a moment), can you provide us with some details, please?
What OS version are you running PrE 12 on?
What is the make and model of your video card/chip (GPU)?
What is the installed version of the video driver?
Is that the latest from the nVidia, or AMD/ATI Web site?
Also, what anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-anything software are you running?
If you are on Windows, and have Windows updates set to Automatic (the default), then a simple OS Update can render the video driver obsolete.

Adobe premiere Elements 12 will not open editor

I had Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on my laptop and worked fine. Decided to upgrade to Elements 12 and did but version 12 will not open editor, says sign in, I sign in but no editor. Organizer opens and loaded my Photos and videos. I purchased full retail version for download. My laptop runs windows 8.1 and has an Intel Core i5 dual core processor and 4GB ram.

Have you gone to Computer/Manager/Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Applications and looked for error entries that appear to be associated with this problem?
Did you purchase Photoshop Elements 12 as well as Premiere Elements 12, and does Photoshop Elements 12 Full Editor open whereas Premiere Elements 12 will not open to its Expert or Quick workspaces?
You have probably tried it, but can you open to the Premiere Elements workspaces from the Elements Organizer workspace?

Need help, Photoshop Elements 11 will not open anymore.

I have Photoshop Elements 11 and will not open anymore, it hangs up on initial window with credits & version info. I tried everything I can think of, shutting down all the background programs, windows update, uninstalling & reinstalling the Photosphop. I am able to open the Adobe Photoshop Editor and I even updated the Adobe from Editor to see if that would help but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

Does this mean the problem is with the organizer? If so, hold down the shift key when starting it and try creating a new catalog in the catalog manager that should open. If that works, go back to file>manage catalogs and try repairing and optimizing your real catalog.

Photoshop elements 12 will not open since updated Mac os to 10.10.2

why can't 12 open? I updated to mac os 10.10.2. And all 12 does is look for a scanner. will not open. Can anyone help?

Did you trash the prefs after updating to 10.10.2
Quit Elements.
Launch Finder and find the user Library by clicking the Go menu whilst holding down the Optn (alt) key (n.b. the library is hidden until you press the optn key) and inside the Library folder select the preferences folder. Then trash the following Folder/files:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Settings
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Re-launch Elements
Also if you haven't updated, go to the help menu in Expert mode and install v12.1

My Photoshop Elements 11 will not open up.

I just downloaded my PSE 11 for my laptop and it won't open. It will start loading and then have a pop up that says "Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 has stopped working". I've tried going through to a short cut to the editor, downloading a newer driver for my tablet, restarting my computer, and opening it through pictures but none have worked. This happened to me after I got my tablet with PSE 8 so I got my laptop cleaned thinking it might be my computer but now the NEW one won't open. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS. HELP PLEASE!

Which tablet are you using with PSE 11. Also try deleting preferences file. Follow these steps
Close Elements.
Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Have you tried launching PSE with tablet driver uninstalled.
