My Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 requests an up date but won't install

I am using Windows 7 Professional 64. I have disabled my virus protection. After several minutes installing I get the messgae:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update
Patch cannot be applied. Please contact product support. But there dioes not appear to be any address to contact support.
The cursor on my tools is a blurr of severl + signs and other nondiscript items. Thanks for the help.

I doubt the license is affecting the performance - it might be a case of the software being too old for the machine.
In any case, you can contact Adobe support thru chat and have them reset your activation count to eliminatre your doubts regarding the license.

Photoshop elements 9 will load on my mac but won't open the Edit portion

E9 loaded on my mac fine the first time (about 1 year ago) but recently it refused to open the edit feature. I was advised that file were missing from the application. I did an uninstall and reloaded the mac disc. It appears to load fine, but will only open the organizer and not the edit feature. I have done 3 uninstalls and installs but I get the same message each time I try to open the edit feature.

hello i had once in an computer the licence for Photoshop elemnts 4.0 ,That was 2004 i desontalled it and nor i found my cd again
and installed it now in my laptop - but would like to add up to the Photoshop version that is now , the newest version - what do i have to do , do i have to buy a complete new version ? like cloud- - as i prefer the cd - but i think is not aavaialable any mor e

Suggest that you purchase PSE v.13. The software is on sale from time to time at box stores and at Amazon.

Does the app window show up on launch? Is it Organizer or Editor you are facing the issue with?

Firefox can't accept that my laptop has now installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player - the plug-in states it is out-of-date & numbers the old one. Ive tried all ways to rectify this but nothing works... Fox still states that I have to update it...

Thank you for your interest. I'd been into the getadobe.com address & downloaded it successfully on IE. The problem had been that it hadnt altered the update on Firefox plug-in. I typed-in your link from Firefox, then it came-up on IE. So I went through the motions to download again & the tab stated it was going to be to IE. So I came out - opened-up Firefox again & got onto getadobe.com again, but on Firefox - downloaded it & it worked.... The plug-in check confirmed it'd updated to latest version.
So thank you, TonyE, if you hadnt responded, I wouldnt have realised that I'd to download whilst on the Firefox browser.

Installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on MacBook Air

I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on my new MacBook Air, but have no cd drive. Is there a way to download this without a cd drive?

Trials of almost all software are available for download from the manufacturer's website. That's one of the reasons that the MacBook Air has no DVD drive.
Invariably the website trials are more up to date than the physical disk so you often don't have to install updates after the initial install.
Visit the website and follow the links. Or just use Google to find it.

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop elements 8 on MAC 10.6.8

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop elements 8 (that I bought a while ago and never installed) on my MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.6.8.
When I insert the PS Elements Disk, a PSE page came up with Read me etc which I read. I clicked on the blue PSE folder and a window with Bootstrapper.dmg came up. I clicked on that and a window opened asking me to type in my administrator passsword to allow Setp to make changes, which I did, twice... and then nothing happened...
Is there something else I am suppose to do? OH, another mounted drive appeared in Finder with a long name... "EFBB...........". When I opened it, it had an assets folder and two .js files (whatever they are)...
What more do I have to do?

I think I figued it out... But why installations instructions didn't come up when I inserted the disk was very annoying. And because they didn't, Adobe should post th installations instructions somewhere on their support site. Not here now, which is also annoying.

Unable to install Adobe Photoshop Elements on Windows XP

Adobe Photoshop Elements disc came with my Olympus camera but never installed on my computor. I tried to install it but it will not accept the numbers on the disc. Are these the numbers they are asking for? I cannot find any other numbers.

The serial number for bundled versions is usually on the paper sleeve. Serial numbers are not on the disc itself. It will be a 24 digit number beginning with 1057-

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 a couple of years ago and had it installed on my old laptop, and now I am trying to install it on my desktop computer. I cannot find the serial code anywhere on the box or DVD envelope, and I have tried entering every code on the box I could find (all invalid). It's supposed to be a 24 digit code with letters and numbers, right? I looked at my account to see if I had any products previously installed, but it says I don't for some reason. I also tried checking my email to see if I had been sent the code, but I wasn't able to find anything. I obviously had the code at some point since I was able to install the program a few years ago, so I'm not sure what happened? Can anyone help me?

"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.

Lost icons in Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0

Hi all i have a big problem i hope some one can help me with
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 on my laptop ..it was pre instaled when i got it (come with no cd)
Right now down to my problem's
when i first used it i hade eveything i needed
But now i find that when i go to use some things there missing
Problem 1
when i go on to Edit full then click on Effects and click the drop down menu and go to outer glows there is only 7 icones there was more than that before
Looks as if i have removed them
Problem 2
when i go in to Wow plastic i get the same problem the clear, yellow and black is missing from the icons they are the ones i use to make things for my site and really need them.
Problem 3
when i go in to glass buttons i also have some missing
My Big Q is how the hell can i get them back i have called the Adobe help number and talked to a really nice lady in the chatroom and they can't help me as there is only support for Elements 9 now
i asked thm if i could remove it and reinstall it and they tell em no not without a cd
please can some one help me
