My Adress book database gets bigger and bigger !!!

Hi,
I love using iSync with iCal and Address book. I just want to ask a question.
The more I Sync my Address book, the more it grows in kind of a cycle of sizes : 225k, 450k, 900k, 1m, 1,2m, and comes back to 225k for instance and goes globally bigger a few syncs later (250k, 500k, 800, 1m, 1,3m for instance).
It is really simple to observe when I do backup files (it does the same with iCal but in a lighter way).
It seems normal that a database gets bigger and bigger with new entries, but in this case, it seems independant (in fact the synchronization itself - even with no data's - seems to increases the size).
My question : do you know a way to blobally reduce the size of the database ?

Only iTunes content and any photos transferred from the computer that was used for syncing the iPhone.
Transfer your iTunes library from your computer's backup which should include other important data such as documents and photos, etc.

The temperatures that you iStat pro shows are not out of line for video and games. When internal temperature start approaching and exceeding 100c, then there becomes cause for concern. Never the less, run an Apple Hardware test:

Can't transfer my adress book from 10.3.9 to 10.4.5 version

been trying to use some of the answers here but it just doesn't work. I change to a new macBookPro and saved my adress book (3.6MB), InBox and just can't transfer to the new computer (sistem).
The transfer is made, but nothing showsup?
and now I can't send our messages, except for some ?!
I tryed to make a new folder on my desktop and place the mbox on it and rename the folder with the termination .mbox and import the new file, but again nothing happend ...
Thers alot of info. here and I just can't let it go away ...

Your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Tiger. However, the major Operating Systems: Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard must be installed from an install disk, which, as Niel indicated, needs to be purchased. Updates within an OS, from 10.4.4 to 10.4.11 for example, can be installed either via Software Update or downloaded as stand-alone updates form the Apple website and then installed.
If you do not already own the Tiger install disk, you might consider Leopard instead, since your computer meets the technical specifications for Leopard, and the cost of Tiger and Leopard are essentially the same $129 from Apple.
I would suggest that you seriously consider upgrading your RAM. Although the RAM you have will run Tiger, it will run much better by boosting your RAM by installing at least one 1 GB module. Your compuuter will support 2 - 184-pin PC-3200 (400MHz) DDR SDRAM up to 1 GB each. You can upgrade them both or upgrade to 1.5 GB for now.

My problem is when the database get disconnecting after calling statement-1-, statement -2- failed and the background process stop working,
so how i can catch the error when I'm calling sqlplus -s username/password@tnsname.

First try to sqlplus -l option to ask sqlplus to exit after first connection failure otherwise sqlplus retries to connect and prompts for new connect string:

Specifies not to reprompt for username or password if the initial connection does not succeed. This can be useful in operating system scripts that must either succeed or fail and you don't want to be reprompted for connection details if the database server is not running.

Then on Windows use %errorlevel% to check sqlplus return code. If sqlplus connection fails, errorlevel should be set to a non zero value.

probably your zoom is on. try double tapping with three fingers on your screen, it should go back to normal and then goto
settings>general>accesibility>zoom and disable it

You cannot use iCloud with Leopard 10.5.8. The minimum requirement is Lion 10.7.2. If you have been syncing your contacts with iCloud you can only have been doing it by some sort of unsupported hack, and if it doesn't work it's unlikely to be possible to find an explanation. If you have been using other (compliant) devices by trying to sync using both iTunes and iCloud you are likely to get duplicates.
A computer old enough running Leopard may well not be upgradeable to Lion or Mountain Lion, but if you can do so this is the only way you are going to be able to make proper use of iCloud.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
To purchase it you will have to ring Apple at the number given at the bottom left of this page.

How to get bigger album art?? And how to change iTunes 10 font??

I just wanna know is there any chance to get a bigger album art in this window:

I know that there was a way to get bigger album art in iTunes 9, but after recent iTunes update there's no way to get a bigger album art in this window!!
And the second question is that how do i change the font in iTunes 10?? In iTunes 9 it was iTunes.ttf and iTunes Bold.ttf, but non of those fonts are not working in iTunes 10.

You most likely have zoom on. Double tap with THREE fingers to turn zoom off, if it is on, then: Settings>General>Accessibility...turn it off for good.

Why do my links get bigger and turn red?

Hi,
I have a website I created many years ago for my business. Along the way something weird happened to all the links. Whenever someone hovers over them with a mouse, the links turn red and get bigger. Can someone please tell me what caused this and how get fix my links so they're normal again?

Here is how to fix it, but I am not sure of the colors. First thing is to remove th <p> </p> tags from the links. Then change the following corrected lines in your 3col_leftNav.css.

display: block;
font-size:100%;
background-color: #dddddd;
text-align: left;
color: #369;
text-decoration:none;
Notice that in both the a and a:hover, there is a font size declaration. That way they always stay the same. Also, on the color of the a:hover, it is the same as the original, only the background changes. I am not sure that is what you want. This works on my computer as I have tested it here. Hopefully it will work on yours. This will change all the sectionLinks a and sectionLinks a:hover that uses that style sheet.

My battery is getting bigger

My battery on my 2006 MacBook was replaced with the battery recall in 2007(?).
I just noticed it is growing, getting bigger.
It should be a bad sign..... will explode, will be fire up....
Does anyone have experienced a bloating battery problems?

It should not catch fire or explode, but as Templeton Peck suggests, you should remove it from your MacBook immediately and replace it.
