My Albums template page is missing - where is it??

a few weeks ago my macbook's hard drive crashed on me. I replaced it with a larger hd and reinstalled the mac os that came with the original package.
i have a website i created using iweb and lost all the original files i used to create it. so i was going to rebuild the site when i realized that the "My Albums" page isn't showing as a template when i click the plus sign at the bottom.
what are my options? do i need to reinstall ilife 08 again? if so, would i lose all the images that i've imported again?
any help is greatly appreciated. tia!

Welcome to the discussions. What version of iWeb is now installed? ...In iWeb, click on the iWeb menu and choose +About iWeb+.

If the version of iWeb you're using is '06, that would explain the missing +My Albums+ template — then yes, you need to install iLife '08 again.

Installing iLife '08 shouldn't cause any images to be lost. But you should always have a backup (or two)...

  • My Albums template page only partially publishing all my albums

I am using a My Albums type page template to act as an index to all my albums. When working in iWeb the page pulls in all my albums correctly and displays them absolutely fine, however when I publish it only a select few (5 out of 30) actually appear. See here: http://www.weirblog.com/Site/MyPhotos/MyPhotos.html
I've made sure that each album is not animating all the photos, and republished the page countless times - but to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm not sure how you did it, but some of your photo pages point to your own domain:
    <link>http://www.weirblog.com/Site/My_Photos/Pages/Andys_Stag_Night.html</link>
    and most point to web.mac.com:
    <link>http://web.mac.com/andy_weir/Site/My_Photos/Pages/Celines_30th_Birthday.ht ml</link>
The above information were extracted from two of your rss.xml files. The web.mac.com is security issue, javascript is not allowed to make cross domain XMLHttpRequest
You need to go back to your photo albums and make sure they point to your domain www.weirblog.com
BTW, your web.mac.com photo albums page works fine.

  • The popup of the rightclick "Bookmark this page" is missing, where it gives you the shot list of folders.

When i'm on a page and I want to bookmark it I right-click and choose "Bookmark this page" and then the dialog box shows where you see 5 of your folders to where you can place the page.
This dialog box doesn't show up since upgrading to FF13

    Thanks for all your help.
It was an extension causing the conflict, "Compact Menu 2".
It's disabled and the dialog box is back. :)

  • Can I adjust size of the photos on front page of the photo album template?

When I am working on a Photo Album page, how can I make the "front page" photos larger? I am talking about the photos arranged in rows, not the photos that show in the slide show carousel. Is it a set size in the Photo Album template or is it a consequence of how large a photo I set into the page?
Also, how is "large" defined? Is it about inches, or is it about resolution?
    — Lorna in Southern California

I found the large too large and the small too large.
How large do you want them Lorna?
    .......... Lorna says ................................................
Michael, where did you go to check to see that the large was indeed too large and the small too large? What method of adjusting the size are you using?
If you want them really large, why don't you just
plonk the real photo on the page sized as large as
you wish, and you can always link it to its own page
    with an even larger version!!
    .......... Lorna says ................................................
Michael, actually I misstated in my first post. Actually I would not like the photos in the Photo page to be too large, because then no one will be motivated to click onto the See Slideshow button.
My mind is getting so crammed with input and other people's websites that I now cannot even recall with certainty which pictures I wanted larger. 8-( Oh, this is giving me a cramped-in-the-chest feeling. I had best take a break now and finally eat a legitimate meal.

  • Is there a phone number where I can call someone? The phone number in your web page is missing a num

Is there a phone number where I can call someone? The phone number in your web page is missing a number. it is listed as 1-800-426-570? One number missing. I just paid with my credit card online for photoshop and it is not allowing me to log in in order to download.

If I click on the adobe.ly link Rajshree gave you, above, there is a phone number at the bottom of the Customer Support contact webpage.
This is the number I see when logged in with an AdobeID associated with the US is:
    800-833-6687
It is possible that you are somewhere else in the world and the webpage is smart enough to give a different phone number, so the number I see may or may not be applicable to where you are.
It also may be advisable to use the Chat instead of the phone, because it may be easier to understand what someone is typing than trying to interpret their English through whatever accent they are speaking with.

  • Missing Template Handler is missing in action.

After a bit of struggle I found out how to input a missing
    template
handler into our aged 4.5 Unix ColdFusion server. I was able
    to have it
server up the custom 404error.htm file developed by our web
    department.
    And this worked, sort of.
The problem was that this HTML file makes use of Apache
    <!-- include
virtual...--> directives which, of course, ColdFusion does
    not understand.
So, I say no problem, I've dealt with this already before and
    expanded
on some existing code that reads the html file and replaces
    all these
virtual includes with the contents of the included file using
    <cfile...>
tags and reFind() functions. This version even uses a Custom
    Tag and
recursion to handle virtual includes inside of virtually
    included files.
    And this works great!
    http://www.cdpr.ca.gov/errors/404error.cfm.
But when I then went into the ColdFusion administrator and
    replaced the
    HTML file path
    '/rootDir/subDir/subDir/htdocs/errors/404error.htm'
    with the corresponding CFML path
    '/rootDir/subDir/subDir/htdocs/errors/404error.cfm' it stops
    working.
ColdFusion starts to display the default ColdFusion 404 not
    found error
rather then my specified Missing Template Handler.
What's wrong here? Why can't I server up a CFM file from the
    exact same
place I can serve up an, albeit incomplete, HTML file?

    User Since V1.5 wrote:

Everything you have describe is true. The main point is that
    sometimes
people do not want to and that there are reasons not to let
    IIS handle
    ColdFusion missing templates.
To be as clear as possible, if you have set IIS to check for
    the
existence of a cfm file and then throw either a default or
    custom HTTP
404 error page this will overwrite anything that could of or
    would of
been done with a ColdFusion missing template page.
Sometimes this is a bad thing. For one example, there are
    techniques
and development methodologies that build a 'template' or
    'response'
completely in memory and a cfm file does not actually exist
    in this
case. This is more advanced then many people work with but it
    is
possible. In this case your having IIS check for the
    existence of a
template would defeat the purpose. Another example is that a
    server
wide missing template handler used by the ColdFusion server
    can be
passed simple information about the error from ColdFusion,
    this does not
    happen with the IIS methodology.
So the missing template handler exists for cases where for
    one reason or
another somebody does not want to have IIS checking for the
    existence of
a cfm template before handing off the request to the
    ColdFusion server.
As with many things in life, it is all about choices and what
    works for
one person may not work for another.
A common difficulty with the missing template handler is that
    it does
not necessarily live in the web server root. It has to live
    in the Jrun
(aka Java) server web root which often is different then the
    web server
    root.
I.E. A common configuration may be this.
    c:/inetpub/wwwroot <!-- web server root -->
    c:/jrun/servers/cfusion/cfusion-ear/cfusion-war <!-- Java
    server web
    root --->
The latter is where the ColdFusion server wide missing
    template hander
template file would have to live in this example
    configuration.

  • Can't modify "My Photos" template page

    Hi
There has to be a simple solution to this: the white "My Photos" template page has 3 pictures across in a row. I can't edit them at all, i.e. can't replace the template's images with my own. If you click on one of the 3 default images, all 3 are selected (indicated by a blue frame) but that's it. Can't change a thing. How do I get rid of them so i can place my own?

You get rid of them by dragging other photos onto
them. They are merely place holders to show you
where the photos go. If you have used iPhoto to
arrange the photos you want to use into an album, you
can just drag the album to them. You should see a
blue line that encompasses all the photos show up.
When you do, let go of the album or the photos.
If you use iPhoto, an easy way to do this is to use
the Media Browser (there's a button for it at the
bottom of the iWeb window) to locate the pictures you
    want to use.
I did that and if the picture you want to replace the placeholder picture with is smaller, you can still see the dummy photo under it. How do you eliminate that? Also, when I drag a bunch of photos to the page, when I publish the page and click on the start slideshow button, the only images that play are the dummy images. What's with that?

  • Page is missing meta language information

I was looking in my Bing Webmaster Info, in the SEO Analysis, and got this-
The page is missing meta language information.
The Meta Language information is used as a hint to help us understand the intended language and country/region the page content applies to. This can help if your site is not hosted in the country/region. Use the “content-language” meta tag to embed the culture code in the <head> section of your page. For example, <meta http-equiv="content-language" content="en-gb"> indicates that the page is in English and intended for the the United Kingdom. Alternatively, you can use <html lang="en-gb"> or <title lang="en-gb">.
    Recommended Action-
Use <meta http-equiv="content-language" content="ll-cc"> tag in the  <head> section of your page, where "ll-cc" stands for the culture code of the language and country/region the content applies to. Alternatively use the lang="ll-cc" attribute on either the <html> or the <title> tag .
Looks like I have 148 pages missing this language, My question is, can I add or correct this this using CS3?

    Hi,
You may add the meta language information from Adobe Contirbute CS3 by launching an external editor application like Notepad or Adobe Dreamweaver (in case you have it installed) from within Contribute.
To do so, you may follow the below steps:
    1. Browse to the specific page in Adobe Contribute and then click File > Actions > Edit Page Source In External Application.
Contribute displays the External Application Editing page and starts an external editing application like notepad.
    2. At this moment, you would see the page source code open for editing in Notepad.
    3. You may now make changes as necessary, and then save your changes using File > Save and close the file or application.
    4. Now, Click "Publish" button in Adobe Contribute to publish your changes.
You may also refer the below blog post for a detailed description on this feature.
                       http://blogs.adobe.com/contribute/2010/05/edit_web_page_source_in_an_ext.html
Please be careful when you edit web page source—you can easily alter style and formatting and get unexpected results. If you are unsure about editing the source directly, talk to your Contribute administrator.
Hope this would helps in asnwering your questions.
    Regards,
    Sharad

  • Problem adding photos to a photo template page

I am using iWeb 3.0.4. After selecting a Photo template page I tried to drag an iPhoto event from Media sidebar that has 32 photos in it to the photo place holder on the page. Only 9 of the photos were transferred. Trying to drag any other photos, even a single photo, caused a text box with the name of the photo in it to be placed on the page and the Inspector window to open with the Link tab active.
Does anyone have any ideas on why or what to do?

Your library is damaged and my not be able to be totally recovered, i.e. recover albums, slideshows, etc. along with the photos.
If the original files for your photos are inside the library package (even if iPhoto can't display them) the following should create a new library with all of your photos.
Start over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
    1.  Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.
    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.  Check it out carefully to see if all of your photos are represented in it.
Your current library will still be available for further fix attempts.

  • HT5714 I pre order midnight memories/ one direction album but only 4 songs where downloaded and the rest say purchased. What can i do to download the rest?, it doesnt give me the option to download?

I preorder an album but only 4 songs where downloaded but the rest of the album is not it only says purchased, please help me resolve this matter!?

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Wanted to Edit "Create Web Photo Album" template

    I'm using MX2004.
I've recently done a major, major overhaul on a website I
manage. We use the "Create Web Photo Album" (not an extension - the
one that came with DW) extensively, but with the new design, the
basic photo album template isn't going to cut it. I could probably
sit with it myself and drop created photo albums into a template
page and make it work, but I'm not the only one doing photo albums
and some of the other people aren't the most... technically
    competent.
What I'd like to do is somehow edit the template that
Dreamweaver uses to create the photo album so that it looks like
how we're wanting without any post-album-created-action.
Is this possible? Is there an extension that'll work for this
as well? (Looks like the Exchange is currently down, so that isn't
    helping me in my search.)

Get the free extension "Create Web Photo Album 2" from Adobe.
    It has many
pre made templates plus instructions on how to create your
    own.

  • Photo template pages

When I selected a photo template page, I got 4 slots for pictures. Does that mean I can only, actually, have 4 photos? I can't seem to grab it to duplicate it nor find a place to simply increase the pictures to 6 or 10 or whatever.
Should I just skip that template and use a blank page and perhaps drop in a photo album from iPhoto? I mean, it seems silly to think that Apple has only a page for 4 photos.

Actually you can drop in up to 99 photos into the photo template area. Or you can drop in a few at a time. The template will automatically expand as you drop more photos in. Just drag your photos over the thumbnail area and you will see the template box highlight in blue and your cursor will turn into a green "+" sign. Then let go of your photos and they will be added to the thumbnails!
And yes, you can also use iPhoto and select up to 99 photos and then click on the iWeb button and select "photo page". That will work, too!

  • Cell Bkgrd now  showing up in template pages

I've created my template page "dwt" with a background image
in one of the table cells AND a background image in the body of the
page. When I create my "child html pages" everything looks OK
except the two backgrounds don't show up. They show up fine in the
DWT file though. Please see: "
    http://duenorthdesign.com/micoley/bio_amyw.html"
for the page that has the missing background areas. It should look
like this page (use for comparison). I have 30 pages to make, so I
certainly need to figure this out! Thanks

    quote:
Do all my pages that use my template belong on the TEMPLATE
directory? Otherwise the links don't work properly. Do they need to
    be absolute links?
The only thing that should be in your Template folder
(directory) are template files suffixed with .dwt.
In general, the links within your template that refer to
other documents in your root folder should be relative -- not
absolute. This maintains the integrity of your site as a unit that
can be picked up and moved anywhere.
If the documents produced from your template are produced
properly, they too will exhibit relative links.

  • Can I create an album template to duplicate?

I can duplicate photo pages but not the album page. I'd like to use my own album template that I created, but I can't duplicate it, so I have to rebuild it each time. Any tips?

Oppps! My error. Hadn't tried duplicating that type of page before. However, you could start with a blank page and drag the iPhoto albums onto it via the Media Browser to get something similar. This demo page was created that way, just dragging albums via the Media Browser onto a blank layout page: iPhoto Albums.
The theme for the Photos page that gets generated by each album will have to be selected and customized each time however.

    - in iTunes, (based on genius direction) right click phone icon, create backup. (the theory was a snapshot of current phones state before upgrade to 4s)
    - synced phone - (had some app upgrades/pics to account for)

    I better summarize.
    ...old 3G iPhone.
    1. Created a backup of:
    Camera Roll 4251 pics
Photo Library 792 pics consisting of 10 albums.
    New 4S

    2. Result: Camera Roll 4251 pics
No Photo Library and no albums. They went missing, how?!
    - did I just lose 792 of my most important pictures?
    Any insight appreciated.
    1. How do I get the albums from my old phone backed up if I ran the backup function before upgrade to 4s with apparently no luck?
    2. Additionally, if I could somehow get the pics backed up, how do get them onto my now already restored 4s where only a camera roll is present?
