It sounds like it starting to charge, then suddenly stops over and over.  This can happen if the cable or adapter is bad or if your charing port has an issue.
Try using a different cable and/or wall adapter.  If the issue continues, it's probably the iPhone.  If it does not continue, then it's the cable or adapter.  Continue to swap to see what's bad.
If you don't have another cable or adapter to test will, take your iPhone and your cable/adapter combo to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.  They can help you narrow the issue down and provide service as indicated. https://locate.apple.com/country

  • After downloading the updates to Firefox (per alert) I lost 50% cpu

HELP!! I received an alert that I needed to update Firefox on my 8.1 Windows desktop.
Before this happened my NEW HP computer was running great and Firefox was running great.
After downloading Firefox ...everything takes 1-3 minutes to accomplish. To open my mail, to google search... anything that uses a browser is like molasses.
Each time I tell someone this happened their answer is.... "don't use Firefox". That should NOT be the answer.
Please help. All was OK before the Firefox download.
Thank you (Here is the error information...not sure if it helps)

Yes, single signature fired, but the number of "Preliminary Stage Alerts" was 60 !? What happened with other 59 alerts ???

Only when the alert has at least one action will it be passed to the event action handler.
So the other 59 alerts did not have any event action. Either no action was added directly from the signature definition, or the alerting type actions were removed because of summarization, or the actions were removed by filters.
There are several signatures that are intentionally created without actions. These signatures are what we call meta component signatures. On their own they don't mean much and so we remove all actions and they do not generate alerts into the eventstore. They trigger internally in sensorApp but do not get written to the eventstore. These alerts are internally monitored by Meta signatures. When multiple component signatures are triggered, then a Meta signature may trigger and it is the Meta signature that would have a produce-alert event action and be written to the eventStore.
With summarization the signature has a produce-alert action, but the summarizer routines see that the signature is being triggered multiple times with same addresses. The summarizer will allow through an alert on the first triggering. Later triggerings with the same address set will cause the summarizer to automatically remove the produce-alert action (and other alert causing actions). So the summarized alerts will not get written to the eventStore.
NOTE: In your output this happened for at least 43 of these alerts.
Filters may also be matching the alerts, and the filters may be removing the event actions.
So if the event actions have all be removed (or none were ever added), then the alert will not be passed to the event action handler.
In your output only 1 of the 60 alerts wound up with any actions needing to be executed.

  • IOS5 contac names lost in iMessages

After uploading IOS5 some contact names in messaging were lost and only phone numbers show. Anyone know how to fix yet?

Where are you? I see no mention on this list http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937 of a supported carrier called "Q".

  • IMessage & 10.8.2 Stopping Incoming Text Messages to iPhone 5?

I'm using Moutain Lion 10.8.2 and iPhone 5 ios 6.0.2. Both are updated to the latest versions of software available at this time.
I've been working at home today and using iMessage on my Macbook Pro Retina which has worked fine with sending and recieving - if I wans't actively using my mac my phone would sound, if I was using my mac the message would come straight through to my iMessage on my desktop - works fine!
However, I just sent a normal, non iMessage text message to a friend and suddenly about 5 normal text messages have come into my iPhone inbox with times sent much earlier today (some quite urgent work related ones as well, annoying). I definitely didn't miss them, they literally came in, the phone vibrated and the unread count in the inbox went up seconds after I pressed "send" of the normal text message.
I'm with O2 here in the UK, I have just checked the "service status" on their website and there are no reported issues. Just sent a normal text message from a family member's phone and it came through fine but I'm put off using iMessage on my mac if it delays receipt of normal text messages to my phone.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Can I do anything to rectify it? Very inconvenient..!

    Hi,
Broadly speaking to be effective in Syncing (Displaying in all Places) requires that there was a "Start Point" for the iMessages server to begin syncing the iMessages to iPhone, iPads and Macs running Messages once the Apple ID is in place.
Most people seem to state the opposite happens for them - their iPhone gets iMessages that the Mac does not.
The most likely cause for this is that the iPhone Number is not an Receive Alias on the Mac version and that iPhone to iPhone iMessages are in fact almost "Private".
I would start by checking the iPhone Number is in the Mac version of Messages as an iMessage alias.
I would then check the iPhone that the Apple ID involved is In the settings and is ticked as Active.
If all are present I would turn Off Messages on the iPhone or put in Airplane mode for a few minutes.
After you have turned it On again then Restart Messages on the Mac.
If you are short of Apple IDs and iPhone numbers you will get alert messages from the iMessages server saying the Apple ID and iPhone number are being used with the devices involved

  • No alert sound

On my iPad2 there is no sound alerts of email, facetime, iMessage, reminders and the clicking of keys. On every other app like angrey birds or garage band there is sound but not from any of the built in apps.
Any help is welcome, thanks in advance.

Have you got notifications muted ? Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • Any way to turn off the vibrate while on iMessage conversations?

    Hello,
I recently bought a new Iphone 5c , it's my very first Iphone, I've always used iPod Touch (by preference). I have a couple of questions concerning the vibration mode on the Iphone, which I can't get it to work as I wish.
My issue is that the iPhone vibrates each time I receive a message while in a conversation on iMessage and not when I receive an alert (from the same iMessage app). I find the vibration annoying (specially in silent settings) and kinda battery wasting, because I use iMessage a lot, and each time I receive a message while in conversation, it vibrates. Is there any way I can keep the alert notification sounds and turn off the vibration at the same time?
    Thank you.

    Thank's for your reply.
I already did that and it keeps vibrating everytime I receive a message while on iMessage, that's one of the reasons I came here to ask for help, I have difficulty trying to make it work properly. Any other solution?
    Thanks

  • Lost text messages

All of my texts messages disappeared over night. Anyone know why this would happen?

do you use an app for messaging? i only ask because i tried to use an app for notifications sounds one time and as soon as i set a tone from the app for text alerts, i lost all my texts. apps sometimes can screw up the phone. if not, then i don't know why it would do that? (fyi....i uninsatlled the app and reinstalled and it's been fine ever since).

  • Poor - slow performance on Windows network

Since upgrading to Tiger have experienced overall degradation in performance. Am on company's windows network. Have experienced safari alerts indicating "lost network connection". Also have extremely slow FTP (using Fetch 4.5)... transfers at 20 kps compared to 1.5 mbs when plugging in a windows box to where the Mac is connected using same cable.

It isn't clear exactly what you think is wrong.
I'm going to make a lot of assumptions.
Is there a reason you are forwarding all your traffic through the OSX server?
Usually that kind of network function is off-loaded to the cable modem or the router that connects to the internet.
You appear to have a switch, and you want it to be a switch not a router, that the Airport Extremes are connected to since they should all be on the same subnet and your wireless network should be on the same subnet.
The WAN port of each airport extreme is connected to the switch via ethernet cable.
There is no need to connect any Airport Extreme to any other Airport Extreme via ethernet.  It is on a bridged network so that second port would just be shut down.  OTOH, the reason one of the ports is defined as a WAN port is because the Airport Extreme does not support the spanning tree
I believe you already have accomplished the following:
Each airport extreme is configured to "Create a wireless network"
None of them should have the "allow this network to be extended" box checked.
NOTE: this box does not exist in Airport Utility 6.3.1.  You should not try to kludge this by using an older Airport Utility.
All of the Airport Extremes should be configured in bridge mode.
All remaning configuration options should be exactly the same.
Your computer (or phone or whatever) will only connect to one of the wireless networks and one Airport Extreme.
It will not use both the 2.4 and 5GHz networks simultaneously.
You can tell which wireless network and Access Point you are connected to by using Airport Utility 6.3.  Click on the icons until you find your MAC address or the name of your device, place the cursor over that name.  If the data rate is 450Mb/s you are connected to the 5GHz network.  Also, if the PHY mode is 802.11a/n you are connected to the 5GHz network.  If the data rate is slower or the PHY mode is 802.11b/g/n, then you are connected to the 2.4GHz network.

  • Messages, should be on all devices?

I have iphone, ipad and imac...i'm suppose to be able to continue a conversation on any device but it's not happening, what do I change?

    HI,
At OS X 10.8.2 and iOS 6 (it is currently iOS 6.0.1) things should work across all devices and Macs running Messages.
However it does help if there is or was a "Start Date" so that the iMessages server knows when to start syncing.
It will not sync conversations already in place.
Sync also refers to "Display on all devices" and not a more integrated "allow actions on one device to be reflected on all".
Therefore once messages are showing up they can be deleted on one device but will remain on another.
If the Apple ID is on the iPhone and iPad and in Messages on the Mac for  the iMessages account then shut down Messages on the iPad and iPhone  (break with Server) Putting the iPhone in Airplane mode will also do this)
After a wait of a couple of Minutes turn Messages back on.
    Then Restart the Mac's version.
At this point you should get alert Messages from the iMessages server about Apple ID and iPhone Numbers being used.
This should be repeated on any other iOS device as well.
Accepting the ID or iPhone Number as Alias will have them in the "Receive" spot in the iMessages Account pane in the Messages app on the Mac with a tick to show they are active.
Denying still lists them but they will be unticked and not active.
