My and my sister's libraries merged?
I'm using Windows XP, so my sister and I have separate accounts. iTunes used to let us have our own libraries, but one day the two iTunes seem to have merged. If one of us tries to delete music, it deletes on the other account. Same with adding and even deselecting.
How do I separate the two again?
Hello. I attached a link that might solve your problem.

Hi, I' m new of the community and I hope I'm not asking something that has been already discussed. I have different iTunes libraries on different hard disks and I would like to merge them in an unique library - mantaining all the metadata - so that I can use this new one with iTunes Match. Could anybody help me?

Alison 1231, your question is not identical to the original poster's so perhaps you could start a new topic with the question since the answers will be different and not apply to the OP's post. -
I have two libraries on separate computers. If i turned itunes match on in both computers would the two libraries merge? So if my iphone normally syncs with my laptop would i still only get the iphones library or would i get both as one?
Yes, the two libraries should merge. However, you need to turn on match on one computer and let it finish before adding the second library.
Once you turn march on n your phone then you don't sync it with iTunes, but the merged library will show up on the phone. If you don't turn on match on your phone and continue to sync then all of the music from both libraries should be available to sync to it.
The only bit I can't confirm is what happens if you try to sync music to the phone which isnt actually downloaded into iTunes. Im not in a position to test that, but maybe someone else can help. -
Finding and combining multiple itunes libraries
I believe I have set up multiple itunes libraries that are located on different drives (the internal and an external). I'd like to find them and combine them into one place. Any help would be appreciated..
macbook running OS X 10.9.4The .itl is simply a listing of what tracks you have selected for that library. It does not include the music itself. I have never imported another library so I don't know if the methods Niel outlines will actually move your music files into the same library folder or simply use them where they are. You can easily check by seeing if they have moved to the folder, or by get info on a track in iTunes and look at the information on where the actual file it uses is located.
Read the links below on what actually makes up a complete library and why combining them involves merging multiple items.

someone please tell me how to fix this. I cant access any apps or anything because my old apple id keeps showing up on my phone and wont show the new one.
You created a new AppleID?
Why not simply update your old AppleID so you have only one iTunes account? -
I have two Itunes Accounts and I would like to merge all Apps to one Account. Is this possible ?

I have an iPad and my sister has a Mac. I'd like to buy an app for her from my Apple ID to her Apple ID but can't seem to do it. Any help please!!!!
HI Friend,
I think Gift Cards found in iTunes can help you. You can give her a Gift Card as the same value as the app and then she can buy by herself.
PS.: I never made it before, so please have a look about this in iTunes for further information before the purchasing.
Hope it will be helpful -
My iTunes library is too large for my iPod classic--can I create a separate library so that I can split the current library and sync the distinct libraries onto separate iPods?
- If the Gmail accounts are IMAP one then if the library is erased and then you use the account old email will be redownload
- Easing the library on the MacBook does not effect what is on the iMac. On the other hand if you deleted the messages in the Mail app on the MacBook then they will deleted from all devices.

Hi. I have an iPhone and a Mac,and my sister has iPad2 and iPhone also.we both use a pc to sync our devices and use one App ID in our devices.but we want to use personal iCloud to achieve our personal files.how can I use iCloud in this situation?
You will need to setup a new Apple ID for your sister. You have to have an Apple ID and iDevice connected and using that account to get an iCloud account.

I have updated my MacBook Pro, my Iphone 4 and my Ipad2. My Iphone merges with the Ipad via ICloud and visa versa, but neither merge with the notebook nor does the notebook merge with them. there are no further updates on my notebook to download, any suggestions?
MaureenHome Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet. It's not designed to. if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2. Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

If we bought a mac with OS X 10.6.6 and my sister has a mac with OS X 10.5.8, can we use the install DVD that came with the newer one to put OS X 10.6.6 on hers? Would it work? Does it erase everything? Is that even legal?
Thank you for any help!It won't work.
